Tori's Preschool Christmas Program

Tori's class had a little Christmas program and she had to remember some lines in it. She practiced a lot because she is such a perfectionist :)

This little rascal kept running up and taking the kids that were saying their parts, spots. She wants to be big just like Tori.

Here's Tori with Miss Autumn.

Tori's Dance Recital

I signed Tori up for "fairy princess ballet" and she loved it. Each week they got a new piece of their costume and at the recital they got to take it all home.

She took this class with her little friend Susie.

Family Picture 2009...

My friend Stacey Crewse took our pictures this year and she did an amazing job! . We took them at a The Reed's farm. They used to be in our ward before it split. Gosh, getting ready for and taking family pictures are sooo stressful to me. It took me three tries to make the skirt I'm wearing. I found out that stretchy satin is the only way to go. I always start out making Tori's dress and end up passing it down to Taylor because it ends up too small. I need to make some patterns and my life would be alot easier ;). You can't even tell by all the good shots Stacey got that Taylor was not cooperating with us. The reason she really has a big smile on her face is because she was pinching an hitting Brett's face.

These are my children from the depression era :).

I love, love Taylor's face in this picture because it makes a memory of what a little stinker she is. She makes this face all the time. She's thinking,"I know you are saying to smile, but I'm not gonna."

Tori was just an angel like she always is lately.

Thanks soo much Stacey, you are amazing!

Yeee-haww! Rodeo!

So our friends the Hunts told us that we should all dress up and go to a rodeo. So I had my mom bring all the belt buckles, boots, and hats she could find. My dad comes from a long line of cowboys. He likes boots himself. I was dying once Brett was all dressed up. He looks like a true redneck. I felt like we were in highschool dressing up for a dance...dorky I know....but it was fun.

We tried to do the best redneck pose we could with the hands in the pockets, lol.

Here's our friends the Hunts and their cute boy Ethan.

So it was pretty fun watching cowboys getting kicked off the bulls. They had a grand half time show with the golden cowgirls who did a performance with them and their horses. Brett kept saying he felt like people were looking at him like he was an imposter, LOL!

Mark and Leslie.

Our friend Jake came alone since his wife was sick. Here he is spittin sunflower seeds everywhere.

Seriously, this look almost fits him right?

Ward Trunk or Treat...

My friend Gina was asked to do pictures at the party, and asked me to help her decorate the background. I love decorating for Halloween so it was a little on the scary side and some of the little kids were freaked out and didn't want to get there picture taken. My kids are so used to scary decor. Whenever Taylor sees something spooky she playfully says, "Ahhhh!" and then laughs to herself.

This was the first trunk or treat I've been to. It was a lot of fun. They had everything set up outside. Chilli and cornbread potluck. I colored my cornbread muffins green and swirled black frosting on top. They had a quad pulling six or so wagons "things" :) and they called it the train. The driver was a clown wearing a poncho. The kids loved it. It also drove through a "haunted alley" that the y/m set up. There was a D.J., cupcake walk, parade, and way too much candy before the night was through.

Don't ask what I was trying to dress-up like. I just randomly found things "halloweenish" and goofy looking.

Here's my creepster.

Tori's preshcool Halloween Party...

Tori has been and wanted to be, a witch for four years in a row. She loves being scary looking. This year she was actually going to be Strawberry Shortcake, but when I told her I had to return the costume because it had a rip in it, she said she changed her mind and wanted to be a witch again. She said Susie was going to be Dorothy so she wanted to be the wicked witch. These girls are obsessed with The Wizard of Oz. She watched it three times yesterday. I love hearing her try to sing, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", so cute.

I love when Tori tells me she wonders if anyone will recognize her because she's so "scary" looking.

Halloween Night...

"ARGGG! No, I won't let my mom put a costume on me." At least she let me put her halloween outfit that I made.

I don't know if you can tell, but I let Taylor and Tori do their own make-up. :)

Here's Tori Halloween night with her "bestie's" from across the street. Taylor decided not to be in the picture. Tori was really tired that night because she had been up late too many nights in a row. So we were trick or treating with the Lopez's and when we came back around towards our house, Tori takes off running and goes back home. We only made it a third of the way down our street. It was funny cause she didn't say anything to me, she just decided she would go home cause she was tired.

Shauni's Shower...

This is my good friend Shauni and she is about to have her first girl. I had sooo much fun making her cute little girl clothes. Can't wait to meet her new little one!

Taylor turns two!

Ahhhh! It's my birthday!!!! Taylor is our independent, crazy, fun-loving, wild, brave, tough, silly, sweet, naughty, loving girl. I can't imagine life without her.

Dang this fairy ensemble took a while to set up!

I was laughing because Taylor was freaking out and didn't want to take a picture. She never wants to do what you want her to do. Gotta love a two year old!
