Does Granpa Exercise?

I went with Tori to her field trip to Krispy Kreme for her preschool class. She loved the donuts, and had never had them before. So, I got an extra one for my dad and gave it to Tori to hold in the car on the way home. She had about a fourth of one left from her second donut. I could see her staring in the bag when she asked me," Does Grandpa exercise?"
I said," Umm, not really."
Tori, "Then he should not eat this donut."
Me, "Why, where did you get that from?"
Tori, "No where. Sugar just isn't good for you to eat if you don't exercise, right?"
Me, "Ya, that's true."
I was dying! I knew she really just wanted to eat the donut, but was amazed at how well she thought out a good reason for it. She's awesome!

Tori's picture day and Easter in California

I thought Tori looked like such a doll for her preschool picture day.

And of course Taylor did too :).

So last minute we decided to go to Brett's parents for Easter. Tori loves making faces for the camera. We had so much fun there. I annoyingly lost my phone there. :(

Grandma Teri bought all the cousins a build a bear and Taylor picked out this pink monkey. She is seriously so attached to it. It's so cute because it velcros around her neck and she wears it like that to the gym. Whenever she wants it or sees it she goes "ooo-oo-aa."

Tori dyed eggs for at least an hour. She was in Heaven with her Grandma Teri.

Here's a pic of Taylor on our trip there and back. She was fine if she had the dvd player on her lap. Thank-you technology. I thought she would fall asleep at night, but she had other plans.

I even showed Tori this picture, but she swears she never fell asleep, she was just "resting her eyes."

I gave Taylor some chocolate eggs, and she was soo quiet. So when I asked Tori to give her another one, she thought I should first take a look at Taylor. Ahhh, thank-you baby wipes.Posted by Picasa

I had so much fun making these skirts, and bows, and necklaces. I got the fabric from in L.A. when I went on that girls trip, and finally made something out of it. I just wish I could have found myself the same cardigan sweater as theirs.

My little cuties!

Dang it's hard to get a good picture!

Grandma Teri took Tori and I to get a manicure-pedicure, Tori's first real one. You can see her cute nails. Anyways, so I was picking out my nail polish and as I grabbed one off the shelf, the bottom half of the nail polish fell to the floor and spun around 500 times all over me and the place. Some idiot didn't screw the lid on. So I have purple nail polish on my white jacket, favorite pair of jeans, new flip-flops, and new blue shirt. A-noy-ying! What was dumb is the people working there didn't even move an inch to see if everything was okay. They just basically pretended it didn't happen. So I'm trying to be grateful for this fun treat, and I was just fuming inside that nobody cared that I just got attacked by their nail polish. Than their stinkin chairs were the massage kind and it bugged so I turned it off, but had what felt like 12 golf balls poking into my back. When I know something is bothering me I can't get it out of my head, so the whole time my mind was saying " your clothes are ruined, but be happy and smile for Grandma Teri who is so awesome for doing this, and your back is not comfortable, over and over again." But my toes are still really cute so oh well!

We were attacked!

So we went to California for Easter and those pics will soon follow, but this is what we saw when we opened our garage after our long trip home. Some maniacs decided to foil our entire garage, down to the shoes on the shoe rack. It was actually pretty impressive. I just couldn't believe someone would take the time to do such a "perfectionist" of a foil job in our garage. When we opened the garage door Brett and I were looking at each and I was like "What in the freakin heck is that?" I was seriously scared to open the door of our house, for fear it continued on.

Tori and Taylor were loving it the next day. You can see the red reflecting in the foil. The light bulbs were changed out for red ones to make it all that more eerie. So we find out it was two of our friends from our ward. They are crazy and hilarious. 10 rolls, 50 dollars, and 5 and a half hours later this is the result of our foiled mess.

They even foiled Taylor's glasses that were in the garage.

Here is one of the culprits now....he said it was a toss up between this, an above ground pool with floating snickers, or live chickens. I think this was the best choice.

Fun in the sun....

Here's Tori flashing the gang signs I taught her.

Our pool is too cold, but I love how you can give them a bucket and they still can have fun.

This picture almost looks x-rated, but those are really just inner thigh rolls!

Gotta love those rolls.

Viva Las Vegas...

My good friend Ashley always told us that when she turned 30, she wanted to take us on a fun trip. So, she decided on Las Vegas, and it was so much fun. We saw "Love", which is a Cirque du Soliel show done to The Beatles songs. It was very entertaining, but kind of 60's artsy, druggy, cycodelic at the same time. I still have the song, "All you need is Love" stuck in my head.

I swear there are malls every hundred feet, so we were in heaven with shopping. And of course eating is always the best too when you don't have your kids and you can just enjoy yourselves. We also saw Danny Ganns, a comedian who does singing impressions of famous musicsians. He was so great, I loved him.

We were a little camera happy on this trip, but I'm glad because usually I feel like I didn't take enough. These are my friends I was close with in highschool, so it was so fun to spend so much time with them. And I'm so happy our friend Jaime met us there from Utah because we hadn't seen her for almost a year. I made her freeze every night because for some reason I was always hot , and she's always cold. Maybe I'm going through menopause. One of my favorite parts was laying out by the beautiful pools and garden they have at The Wynn. It was funny because our layout session was cut short once the sun went behind the skyscraper hotels.

All of my them have already turned 30 and I am up in July. I love being younger than them now :). I thought that I would hate the thought of being 30, but it doesn't bother me at all. 30's the new 20 right?

So thanks Ashley, for spoiling all of us, it was an awesome trip. Next birthday, Hawaii ???Posted by Picasa
