Canadian Dance Moves

In our previous political announcement, Jason declared, "If Romney wins, I'm moving to Canada."

Norma asked, "Do you think MJ has room for all of us?" and Thom chimed in with, "Seriously, we may have to start the Infomaniac commune!"

You wannabee Canadians are gonna have to learn some Canadian dance moves before we allow you entry into this great nation of ours.

The Lumberjack, The Friendly Backpacker, Scrape the Windshield, The Cross-Country Skier, The Beaver, Pile the Poutine, Pump the Keg, Skate the Pond, Spell Your Name in the Snow, The Curler, The Glove Save, The Dog Sled, Paddle the Canoe, Skip the Goose Poop, The Maple Leaf, Carry the Two-Four, Tap the Syrup, Cold as Ice, and Raise the Cup.

Watch and learn these fabulous Canadian dance moves because we know that YOU wanna be a Canadian!

Sing along, Bitches!

♫Yeah I know that you wanna be Canadian, please
Even if in winter things tend to freeze
We’ve got the world monopoly on trees
And our country’s bordered by three different seas
Yeah I know that you wanna be Canadian, please
We invented the zipper, we’ve got expertise
We made insulin to combat disease
Yeah I know that you wanna be Canadian, please

CHORUS
Brits have got the monarchy
The US has the money
But I know that you wanna be Canadian

The French have got the wine and cheese
Koalas chill with the Aussies
But I know that you wanna be Canadian

Et si ce n’était pas assez
On a deux langues officielles:
L’anglais et le français
Ooh la la

Yeah I know that you wanna be Canadian, please
Where else do you find mounted police
Or go to the hospital and not pay fees
Yeah I know that you wanna be Canadian, please

And when freshwater is in high demand
We’ve got the world’s largest supply on hand
So you know that we could make a pretty good friend
But it’s even better if you can be…

CHORUS

So you’re thinking to yourself,
“How do I live in this beautiful country?”
Well we’ve got some steps for you to follow…

STEP 1: Lose the gun
STEP 2: Buy a canoe
STEP 3: Live multiculturally
STEP 4: You’re ready, there is no more!

We got beavers, caribou and moose
We got buffalos, bears, and Canadian goose
And we’re sorry about Celine Dion
But she did do that good song for James Cameron…

CHORUS

Brits have got the monarchy
The US has the money
But I know that you wanna be Canadian

The French have got the wine and cheese
Koalas chill with the Aussies
But I know that you wanna be Canadian

The Greek chilled out with Socrates
Can’t build a wall like the Chinese
But I know that you wanna be Canadian

In Kenya they have safaris
We’ve missed lots of other countries
But I know that you wanna be Canadian

SAFETY GAYS!

On our previous post, the ever-inquisitive Ms. Nations asked…

“PLEASE DEFINE THE TERM 'SAFETY GAY' FOR A BITCH WOUDJA.”

Perhaps this photo via TJB at Stirred, Straight Up, With A Twist, will help illustrate…

And now a word from Thombeau whose vivacious “The Redundant Variety Hour” is literally BURSTING with safety gays…

“In a nutshell: When a diva is busy singing and dancing, she is often accompanied by a brigade of choreographed male dancers who not only add to the festivity, but are there to catch her if she falls. Hence the term "safety gays".

Thom goes on to say…

“This clip is a prime example of Safety Gays at work. Not only are they dancing with Miss Mitzi Gaynor, they're spotting her. Because dancing in heels can be downright dangerous at times!”

And remember…it’s Safety Gays 24/7 at The Redundant Variety Hour!

Gay? WAY Over 31?

Earlier today, we invited you to join us for an exclusive dancing party for gays over 31.

Ask the Cool Cookie asked, “And what about the dance for those way over 31?”

Enjoy an evening of gay house party dancing!

*house provided by one of our own Infomaniac bitches who wishes to remain anonymous based on his appalling lack of décor sense*

Random Chick asked, “Can I come even though I'm not gay? I have a lot of gay friends. Does that count?”

Fag hags are welcome!...

Oh wait. Isn’t that Mr. Peenee in the foreground?

Gay? Over 31?

Canadian, Eh?

Bob and Doug McKenzie: typical Canadians

Welcome to a new series on Infomaniac entitled, “Canadian, Eh?” where we shall explore the culture and customs that make up The Great White North.

Today on Canadian, Eh?: FOLK DANCE!

Most countries have a traditional dance that originated among the common people of the region.

England has its Morris Dancing…

I wouldn’t touch this with a ten-foot pole

Ireland has its Step Dancing…

Personal note to Manuel: You can purchase the wigs here.

Scotland has its Highland Dancing…

Après dance

And Germany and Austria have their Schuhplattler…

A thigh-slapping good time

But what of Canada, you ask?

Surely the Canadians have contributed to the colourful world of folk dancing?

Why yes, we have!

Infomaniac proudly presents, straight out of Québec (La Belle Province) the Kangourou Dance!…

Oui, oui, c’est Le Kangourou!

Shoppenboys

Want to buy clothes for your man but he won’t tag along to the shops with you?

Try a Shoppenboy!

Les Shoppenboys (they’re French) wander around the store in red boxer shorts until a customer asks them to try on an item of clothing.

Customers select the Shoppenboy who best fits their man’s body type and the Shoppenboy will model the clothes for size.

Here’s a video clip for those of you wishing to see a Shoppenboy shakin’ his stuff. Readers most likely to view the clip of Shoppenboy Laurent dancing in his knickers include IVD, CyberPete and Smunty the Cabin Boy.

The rest of you may opt instead to go about your preparations for the holidays.
