Valentine's Day

I like Valentine's Day! I know that it is a cheesy holiday. But I Think it is fun! I like to include my little boys in on it as well as my big boy:) This year it feel on a Tuesday which is a very long & late day for Korey. So we are hoping to go on a date this weekend to make up for not getting to hang out yesterday. I started the day out with pink, heart pancakes for breakfast. Which only half of us ate them, the others opted for cereal. Which is a great example of why I hardly ever cook breakfast.

After the boys were at school I made them some cookies. My Mom use to make us a giant heart shaped cookie every year for v-day. So when I had McKay I started the same & have done so every year. Preston informed me on the way out the door that morning that he could not wait to get home to his big cookie!

After they got home & we did home work & the usual after r school things. I decided I did not want to cook. So the 5 of us went on a date out to dinner. I was very happy with how well behaved they were for me.

When we got home we had another surprise. Korey left me flowers on the door step. Then Grandma Kathy showed up with the cutest gift ever!!! I am so making one of these someday!

Even though we missed Korey & wish he could have had fun with us. It actually turned out to be a good day! The boys had a great time at school giving & receiving Valentines. I made sure they knew all day that I love them lots & lots & lots!!!

Ryan's Vday Box

In 1st grade at my boys school they get to make a box at home anyway they want to & bring it to school for Valentines day. My boys get very excited about this & they always have the best ideas of what they want to do. So this year it was Ryan's turn & he was really excited about it. This is what he came up with!!!

Parker

I do not know if I have ever said this before, but man I love this kid. I am so sad at how fast this little man is growing up. It is like everyday he changes. It kills me to think that he will soon be 5. I am happy though that we decided to not start him in kindergarten until next year. He has a late birthday & I do not want him to be the little kid all through school. Plus it gives me an extra year with him at home with me.

Swimming

My 3 youngest have a great love for swimming. They love anything to do with the water. Preston & Ryan want to join the Orem City Swim Team. Ryan has one more class to do & Preston is on his last class before they can join. They just started swim lesson's last week & I took a couple small clips of them swimming with my phone. I think they are such great swimmers & I am amazed at what they can do in the water.

This is Parker. Watch close the video is super short!

This is Ryan. He is very excited because he can now swim under water!

This is Preston. He just learned to flip under water so he can turn faster when swimming laps!

Somedays

Do you ever have those days? You know the ones where you are going to go crazy because how much of a challenge a certain child is? Well that would be mine the other day. Ryan has had a loose tooth for a while now & the other day at swim lesson he got poked in the mouth & it became very loose. To say the least he was very, very upset. He was screaming at the Rec Center & throwing the biggest fit. We get home & he was still upset for the whole night. He could not eat because his mouth hurt. He would not let us look at it, let alone touch it. We even bribed him. Major bribes to try to let us wiggle it, or just even touch it. At one point I even pinned him down & we were trying to open his mouth. No such luck! We sent him to bed & prayed that he would not chock on it in his sleep. Next morning same thing. He was not going to have anything to do with us touching his loose tooth. I was worried the whole day that he was going to be a beast at school. Or that it might fall out & he would freak out at school. Well when I went to pick him up he informed me that he had a great day & was in a great mood the whole time. Shortly after getting home he was eating a donut & the tooth feel out. It just feel out! He was pleasantly surprised by how it did not hurt. Gee theres a shocker Ryan!!! Not that we did not try to tell you that a hundred times the whole night before!!! Then he informed me that he wanted his reward that we had offered him the night before. Yea right!!! I don't think so buddy!!! I am a mean Mom & told him no. Personally after the fit he threw he should be lucky that the tooth fairy even brings him something. Good thing we love our children so much. Plus he is super cute & he melts my heart. So I can not stay mad for to long.

I got a Bobcat

Preston started scouts just over a month ago & I am proud to say that my little man got his first Merit Badge. He is now a Bobcat! I think it is because he is so awesome & that is why he already got it. But maybe I should give a little credit to his great scout leaders!!! Good job buddy:)

I really do hope someday that he will grow out of the "goofy face" making stage.Good thing he is so cute so that it is ok he does that!

New Years Eve 2011

Yet again another Holiday that I did not take any pictures. UGHHHHHH!!! I think that should be my New Years Resolution. Take more pictures & be in more pictures with my kids. Well we had a great New Years Eve. We went out to dinner with some of Korey's family. Then we all came back home & played games & more games. A little before 10pm we got on the internet & watched the ball drop in New York. Then the kids ran out & blew streamers & snapped poppers. We played a few more games & had yummy root beer floats then the kids were off to bed. Never the wiser that they did not stay up to welcome in the new year. Happy New Years! I hope everyone has a wonderful year full of lots of love & happiness & health.

Christmas 2011

I cannot belive that I did not get one picture from Christmas. I am so mad at myself. I always get on of the boys in there jammies on Christmas Eve in front of the Tree. Then I like to take one of them after they are done opening gifts & they are surrounded by there stuff. But no I did not get one stinking picture. Oh well, Next year I will do better! We had a wonderful Christmas this year. The kids had a full 2 weeks off of school. So we had lots of hanging out with family & playing games. Parker got the "new" batman castle, Ryan got a DS, same with Preston. McKay got an Ipod touch. They were very happy Christmas morning & have loved there stuff ever since. I hope every one had a great Christmas like we did.

Christmas Boat Ride

I took the 3 younger boys down to the Provo River with my Brother & his Daughter & Nephew to go on a little Christmas Boat ride. We had done the Halloween one a couple years back & the kids got a big kick out of it. So we wanted to try out the Christmas one. Well once again the boys loved it. I on the other hand thought it was yet again a little cheesy. You know they could make it totally awesome if they were to put some effort into it. Oh well it was fun to hang out with boys & they had a good time. Which I guess is all that matters. Plus we got to see Santa & get a candy cane!!!
