A day with the Bennetts!

My brother, Jason, and his darling family came all the way from Hawaii to visit the first weekend of December! They flew into LAX and then drove up to us to spend two days before they had to head back to LA to go to Disneyland. We are SOOOOO glad they came to see us! It was so much fun!

We played at our park.

Went to the Creche exhibit at one of the ward houses.
It was incredible!
There were crafts for the children.

Dress ups.
Here is Mary. And Joseph.A very sweet angel!A shepherd and his lamb. And a few more manger animals.Dress ups were a blast! The children were able to see a marionette show about the first Christmas. After that, we headed to the City to see some sites.
Squish!Jase, Rach, and Klai made it out to the bridge while the rest of the children took a nap.

We then headed south to Los Gatos to a Christmas Train ride.
A very adorable tan family that was FREEZING while we waited for our turn to ride the train.Little buddies!Jorgen and Shae meeting the conductor.
On the train ride! Some of the neat lights we saw.In memory of my Dad. :)
A tired babe. The train tickets include unlimited rides on the carousel.
I cannot even count how many times we went around. What a blast!
Jase was full of fun faces!
We miss our Hawaiian Bennetts so much already!

The Other Hansens

We spent ten days in Dallas and had the best time! Remarkably, I somehow managed to only take a few pictures the entire time. A record for sure! I wish I would have had my camera around more to capture the fun memories we had. After the 'sell weekend' with the two companies, we spent a week with Matt and Jene' (Justin's older brother and wife) and their sweet girls at their home. Miles and Siena (Justin's younger brother and wife) flew out for the week as well. It was so fun seeing everyone again! It had been a very long time since we were all together!

The BYU vs. Utah game was on Saturday so Jorgen got all prepped for the game with his Daddy and Uncles.
Jorgen dressed up in his uncle Matt's U of U jersey.

Uncle Matt and Jorgen
Tough football faces!
The day we left, I hurried and took a picture of the cousins before Madeline and Glory left for school. Jorgen and Shelley had so much fun playing with their wonderful cousins! The girls were all so sweet and good to Jorgs and Shells!
The whole bunch:
Jorgen, Shelley, Madeline, Glory, and Charolette
We are thrilled that we will be able to live near them after graduation! They are such a fun family and we look up to them and love them so much!

Texans

This time next year, we'll be Texans!

Justin finished consulting interviews and received two offers and both locations are in Dallas, Texas! We are so thrilled! We are heading to Dallas next weekend for offeree weekend to help make the decision of which one is a better fit for us. Justin's brother, Matt, and his family live there so we are thrilled to move near family. My sister, Shanda, lives six hours away so it will be fun being closer to her as well. We feel blessed to know where we will be heading already and that we have time to plan and figure it all out. A cowboy hat filled with goodies came in the mail the other day so Jorgen and Shelley have had fun trying it on for size (and note Shelley's shirt).

Halloween and then some....

We had a great Halloween! Jorgen was a dinosaur like last year and Shelley was a Russian gypsy (who loved to 'shake it!').

Jorgen and his friend, Kimball, at the ward party.
Shelley and her friend, Livvy, at the GSB trick-or-treating.We went to the Stanford/Oregon game yesterday and had a blast. We actually showed up with only five minutes to go before it ended but it was free and so much fun!
We ran into our friends, the Prows', and they had their camera on hand so we were thankful for that. Everyone ran onto the field at the end of the game and our children had so much fun playing and running around.
One year old Shells.
Shelley got a little nervous when we were taking pictures of her so Jorgen went over to comfort and calm her down. He is the best big brother ever! So sweet and good to her! Our girls are lucky to have Jorgs as their older brother!
Three year old Jorgen!Running yards, and yards, and yards!

A few other random things we have been up to...

Jorgen and Shelley love to play together, especially if it involved jumping on each other or wrestling. Shelley is going to be a tough gal for sure!

This picture is so funny to me. It looks like we just snapped it while his eyes were blinking but Jorgen was actually falling asleep at dinner time. It was not even six o'clock yet. Since we cut out his afternoon nap, he often is so exhausted from running all day long that he just starts to fall asleep when he eats. It is quite amusing!
My two yoga bears!
These two love to try out there yoga moves when I get out my mat to exercise. They love doing poses with me!
I have been working with Jorgen on recognizing numbers and these are two new things we have tried.
Bingo!
Hop scotch!
Shelley likes to join in the beanbag-hopping fun when we do it.
