Baby Brother

We found out on November 2nd that we will be welcoming another little boy into our family! We could not be more happy or thrilled! Shelley has been saying since the beginning that it was a boy. So when we told her it was indeed a boy she made a face as if she was saying, "I know, I told you!" Jorgen has been hoping to have a little brother for awhile so he is on cloud 9. He keeps talking about all the fun things he is going to teach his brother. Time will tell what Elsie really thinks about all of this. She does love to kiss my belly though. And sometimes shows us her belly and says there is a baby there.

This is the picture my doctor sent us home with. A little explicit if you ask me. It is taken on a weird plane so you can't see his legs jutting out but that is definitely his manhood right there for everyone to see. No questions asked!
My doctor gave us a dvd of the ultrasound and this is what the kids had to say when they watched it (can you hear Elsie screaming, "BROTHER! BROTHER!" while Jorgen is being filmed? And don't mind Shelley's baby talk while speaking of her little brother).

randomness

This post is full of random pictures I took on my phone the past couple months.

THOMAS JORGEN
Jorgen had his Thanksgiving program and it was AWESOME! The kindergarten puts on a program an they sing all sorts of funny turkey/thanksgiving songs. Jorgen is very musical and so entertaining, it was right up his alley!
My handsome boy and I went on an evening walk.
Jorgen had his second piano recital. He did great. I am always impressed with his musical abilities. He already sings better than me and soon he'll pass me up on the piano. He definitely takes after his daddy in this department.
His teacher, Miss Celestial.
Jorgen drew this funny picture of me on a doodle pad...Justin and I just loved seeing it and didn't even notice that apparently the baby is growing in my neck :)
This boy loves to rock climb!
Cute story, he made it to the top a couple times on different routes but was getting tired and so he asked me if he could say a prayer for Heavenly Father to help him make it to the top one last time before we had to go. It melted my heart. He is learning the power or prayer and I am so happy he knows he has a loving Heavenly Father who cares about us and listens to us.

Here he is after his last soccer game for the season. He loves his trophy! He scored three of the six goals during his last soccer game. What a guy! Definitely a great way to end the season.
I love that he looks like a little Texan here. Use the force, Jorg!
Thomas J is insanely afraid of shots. He gets so worked up before he has to get one and so I was super proud of him for being tough and not even crying when they had to draw his blood.
Jorgen learned to ride a bike at the beginning of the school year. He picked it up in about ten minutes and I was so impressed. He loves to ride his bike!
Jorgen you are the best big brother and son ever! We love you!

SHELLEY ELIAH
This girl loves to be crazy, silly, and fun!
She loves to dress up!
Shelley is really creative. She loves to make up games and activities for her and Elsie to do while Jorgen is at school. While Elsie was napping one day, Shelley decided that she and her babies needed to take a rest. She is so darling!

While Justin was in Utah one week he went down to his parents' basement and took a picture of him with all of Nana's babies to send to Shelley and Elsie...

This was Shelley's response....
Seriously! This girl loves babies!! She is going to be such a good helper when her brother arrives!

Shelley is trying to break her thumb sucking habit...one day we caught her multi-tasking, sucking her thumb and drinking her smoothie.

She loves to climb!
We just love our Shelley belly boo!

ELSIE KAY
If you ask Elsie to make her funny face, this is what you will get:
She even started wiggling her tongue back and forth now...so funny!

She made quick friends with my garage sale nutcrackers when we decorated for Christmas.

Eating a tasty donut after Jorgen's last soccer game.

Elsie was going to be an ewok for Halloween but she did not love it. But isn't she so cute as an ewok! Next year...

Elsie loves to tell you how old she is. ONE!I found this helmet at a garage sale. Good deal, yes. Flattering, no!
She reminds me of what I used to look like when I first started wearing a helmet snowboarding (before it was cool to wear a helmet). People used to call me The Schwartz :) So that is what I think of when I see this cute girl in her large helmet. Sometimes it is just better to buy retail.

Elsie loves her new ride despite her expression. I look like a caravan on my bike. I have this seat and also a two-person trailer. It will be perfect though for when baby #4 comes along.
Elsie loves to 'close' her eyes for prayers and when she pretends to be sleeping. It is so funny!
Elsie also loves to point out all the different parts of her body. She is just soo darling and fun to have around. We love you Elsie Kay!
Here are my three kiddos eating a very unhealthy meal...fast food! It was Jorgen's treat. I don't typically take them to get it so he used his birthday money from grandparents to buy it! How nice of him to share the love with his sisters.
This is one of my favorite finds at a garage sale...plasma cars and a flying turtle!

Jorgen or Shelley took this picture of my handsome husband!
I am so blessed to have him!
I heart JCH

hair

I have been wanting to do Elsie's hair for so long! She barely keeps in clips in the front of her hair so getting it into pigtails was a big deal. She won't let me do it anymore so I am glad I snapped a few pictures of it.

She is one silly girl!

Elsie would much rather have her hair like this...

And Shelley is our little silly girl. She is so fun!

We all get a kick out of their hair!
The girls love the trampoline, not to mention each other.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year!
We decorated ghosts for our trees, carved pumpkins, went trick-or-treating three times and got lots of mileage from our costumes.

Shelley being 'spooked'!

Jorgen was Luke Skywalker
Shelley was Princess Leia some nights and a gypsy on other nights.
Elsie was a gypsy too :)
Our fabulous trio!

This was taken at Justin's work party. Shelley's Leia hair kept getting higher and higher up on her head and by the time we took pictures she looked like Princess Minnie Mouse. Darling either way ;)Trunk-or-treating in our friend's neighborhood.
My friend took this picture and it just cracks me up!

At our neighborhood party before trick-or-treating.
Happy Halloween!
