The Bravest Baby Ducklings Ever!
Mommy duck decided this pool of water was a great place to take a dunk, but the only problem is that the curb is very high up and the water is very low down... especially if you're a baby ducky!
But those brave ducklings valiantly got up the courage to follow their momma, and each one took a big swan dive right in the water after her! Wheeee!

Cat Adopts and Nurses Baby Ducklings!
When two farmers in Ireland found three of their ducklings missing, they thought the worst. But then they did a little searching and found them nestled up to the neighborhood cat, trying to nurse alongside her kittens!
They originally assumed "The White Cat," as she is called, was to blame for the missing duckies... but they quickly realized she was just protecting them and making sure the had enough to eat. Look how cute and happy she is with her new birdie babies!
P.S. Unfortunately, I am reading some reports that duckies can't actually nurse, so they're just kind of copying what the kittens are doing -- but it still makes for a cute video!

Dog Protects Food Bowl From a Duck
For those of you who don't know, ducks have guts. They are bold and brave and often really annoying. (I know this from experience when a gaggle of them once lived in my office parking lot and I spent my days chasing after them like an idiot in my work clothes outside my office building so the cats could have a few minutes of peace to eat. I hope to never do that again. But I would. Anyway...)
You'd think a dog would be a big enough opponent for a duck to not try and steal his food. You'd also be wrong.
But this pretty doggie is not about to give up his noms!

Mommy Duck and Her Babies Stop Traffic in Washington D.C.
In the middle of the hustle and bustle of a major city, it's always a heart-warming sight to see people get together to do good -- like help a family of ducks cross a busy street.
Just yesterday, this adorable family of ducks proudly marched across Pennsylvania Avenue, escorted by a bunch of volunteer crosswalk patrol people. With their help, all the cars stopped and mom and her babies made it safe and sound.

Duck Nurtures Five Abandoned Kittens
When the folks at Lucky Duck Rescue discovered five abandoned kittens on a cold winter day, they knew just what to do to keep them warm. They put them in with Harry the duck in his clean, cuddly dog bed.
And within a few days, Harry had figured out what he needed to do, too...

Feel-Good Friday: Rescuing Baby Duckies!
A mama duck and her fuzzy little ducklings too refuge in this heated kiddie pool during a rain storm. Seemed smart and warm at the time, until it was time to hop out and the baby duckies couldn't jump high enough to clear the pool wall.
Momma duck stood helplessly quacking at her kids, until (cue superhero music) a nice man decided to jump in and help! The baby ducks would let him grab them, so he had to deploy a little bit of ducky rescue creativity...
The result? A super cute rescue!
Bonus Cute: Watch as a cop stops traffic to help ducks cross the street!

Man Rescues Daring Baby Duckies (a must see!)
This is officially one of my favorite news stories ever: A man noticed a mommy duck making her nest in his 2nd-story office ledge. She was cute to watch... and then the duckies hatched and couldn't hop down to try and get to the water.

These are five lucky duckies! Not only did they get adopted and have a happy home, but they get to go for a daily swim in the pool -- complete with diving board!

Frank the Duck
Frank the duck rides shotgun with Joe the truck driver, everywhere he goes. This is a really ironic story how they came to be best buds.
Like Joe says, "If more people had a duck in their life, maybe we wouldn't be all so mad at each other..."

Cop Stops Rush Hour to Help Duckies Cross!
To serve and protect (animals, too!)...
This officer stops rush hour on a busy interstate to help a mother duck and her baby ducklings safely cross the road. It's not the best quality video, but that didn't stop me from clapping all by myself in my living room at the end when the duckies made it safely across.
