Nuho's Custom Monk Dirtdrop MTB

A few shots of Nuho's very nice custom Monk Bicycle "Dirtdrop" MTB taken during the Bicycle Maru new year ride earlier this month...

Now doing the #RackLife thing with a Rawland rack upfront...

Kenji's Custom Ballooner

Kenji-san, owner of the Crazy Sheep brand also owns the super cool Ballooner brand. The whole ethos of Ballooner is a modern take on old school mountain bikes, think Repack and plaid rather than full face and droppers. Last weekend Velo Life Unpeu in Osaka hosted a Ballooner and Crazy Sheep demo bike day where Kenji was showing off some of his stable. His personal bike is the coolest bike you will ever see*...

A mix of old and new, rusted motorbike handlebars (a homage to the pioneers of mountain biking) on a Chris King headset and the bike rolls on 27.5 Maxxis tyres...

White Industries cranks with a battered Shimano Claris mech. No drop stop or clutch mechs here, the bike is built to be shredded...

A well worn in and never maintained Brooks saddle...

And those S and S couplers make sense because Kenji travels with this bike...
