Kentaro's Custom Signal Cycles
Now that the Kansai cyclocross season is over, Hutte shop manager Kentaro-san has switched up his trusty Signal Cycles CX bike to a 650B allroad/gravel grinder utilising those WTB Horizon tyres that are all the rage right now...
Classic Fizik/Thomson combo at the saddle...
Of course it's got a Chris King headset...
Gevenalle on shifting duties...
With a Wolf Tooth/ Shimano 105 set up at the cranks and a set of Pub Pedals making things a little easier...

Custom Ritchey Ultra
Starting the month off right with a very sweet custom Ritchey Ultra MTB that was in for maintenance at 1Jyo in Osaka last Monday...
Everything about this bike ticks our boxes, that famous Ritchey fade...
And lugwork...
The classic parts, including the rear mech from the classic era of XT before it went all Star Wars Lego style...
Ritchey cranks of course, bonus points for the Sugino dustcap...
26 inch Panaracer Paselas, the perfect city tyre...
And compared to this Bosco/slingshot stem set up all other cockpits are a load of old wank...
Seven speed XT thumbies...
Just as pretty on the NDS...
And that famous moustache...
Follow the 1Jyo Ultimate Factory on Instgram for more MTB/ATB beauties. A big thanks to the 1Jyo staff for letting us drool over this bike.

Street Viper's Wraith Fabrications CX
Whilst out riding in Kyoto a couple of weeks ago we bumped in local CX legend Christoph AKA Street Viper and got a chance to shoot some pictures of his very cool custom Wraith Fabrication rig...
Every single part is dailed, Ergon saddle on a Thomson post with Avid canti's taking care of braking...
The Viper was in civilian mode so he was rolling on his non-race Bontrager wheels with Clement tyres. A freshly taped and shellacked chain stay keeping things tidy with the Sram drive...
The classic cross combination of Wolf Tooth ring & Crank Brothers pedals...
And a fresh roll of Fizik tape on the Ritchey bars...
Such a cool bike. A big thank you to the Street Viper for letting us shoot the bike and if you are lucky enough to see him in action out on the KNSCX circuit then give him an encouraging shout, an espresso or a beer!
