4 Tips To Throwing Soccer Watch Party
Photo by Vick Bufano on Unsplash
It's soccer season, and for most of us, that means watching the premier league unfold. While it's great to enjoy the game on your own or in a bar, there is nothing like getting together with a few friends and watching the game in the comfort of your home own. So, why not make it a celebration, and throw a watch party.
A watch party gathers people at one place to view an event such as a sports match or a movie together in real-time. Watch parties can also be virtual when friends and family connect online using video chat software such as Zoom or Google Hangouts.
It can be a great way to share good food, drinks and keep up to date with sports news (https://sportnews.in/) while enjoying the game with your close friends and family. So, if you're thinking about throwing a watch party, here are a few tips that can help you get started:
Get Snacks
Food is one of the best parts of a watch party. Since it's a social event, there should be a lot of different types of foods that should be served. For example, some parties offer finger foods, while others might make hot foods like chicken wings or even order a pizza or take out. Of course, it all depends on the type of food you want at your party, and how many people will attend.
And if you're a good cook, there are a lot of different recipes online that would be great for your party if you're interested in trying them out.
Drinks
There are a lot of great drinks available that you could have on your watch party list, but it's important to remember to have a variety. Not everyone will want alcohol, and some may even have to drive home after the party is finished. So having soft drinks, alcohol, and water, and hot drinks could be an excellent option for your watch party.
Decorations
For a watch party, you don't have to go all out with decorations. You can keep it simple and still get what you need. Of course, you can decorate your home in the colors of your favorite team. Or in the colors of the two teams that are going head to head for that match. This could make your party more fun if you have friends cheering for the opposing team and bringing a little liveliness to your event.
Watch Party Games
What is a great party without party games? There are so many different types of party games that you can have at your event. Whether it's drinking games, betting games, or even little dares, a party game can put an extra layer of investment in the match you are watching and make you want to cheer even louder for your team.
In addition to this, while you're waiting for the match to begin, you can play trivia games to see who amongst you and your friends and family are the real sports fans. A whole host of other party games can be modified to make the laughs keep going at your watch party.
So, if you're throwing a party this season, these tips should get you started.

My New Hobby With Wesing App
With this MCO, CMCO and now RMCO, by now I am used to staying at home, it is more tedious to go out. So much precautions to take, masks, sanitizer, queues, and SOP to follow. However, I must applaud these safety precautions, only that I have to adjust to these procedures from now on. It is a good thing... yeah....
Oh, I have digress.... I wanted to post on my favourite hobby, singing! Yes, at my age, I still like to sing but I have to admit the stamina is not as good as decades ago. But still.... I carry on singing and listening to myself sing... at home! I got to know a singing app through a friend who posted up her singing in Facebook. It is called wesing.... and I downloaded it to my iPad recently.
Once downloaded the app, I can choose my own songs, sing it and then if it is "pass-able" I post it up to the app and allows other "singers" to listen. LOL.... I find it interesting! At first, I just sang through the iPad mic.... but actually it is better to use earphone with a mic. And after a few sessions, I purchased it online and it arrived yesterday.

I Watched Titoudao, Inspired By The True Story Of A Wayang Star
Titoudao is a true life story about a poor kampung girl making it big to becoming a wayang star. The first five minutes of episode one had me glued to the series till the end. The main actress is from Kuala Lumpur and the whole drama was in English though it was dubbed in Mandarin as well.
I watched the first few episodes on my laptop, not comfortable because of the small screen and poor colour lightings. However, getting to the bigger screen on TV, I had a hard time using the remote control to get to the website. Sweat! Yeah, I know laptop can connect to the TV but a big hassle for me, still not so tech-smart about that. Anyway, once I was in, I watched non-stop till the end of the series in one day. Crazy me!
Synosis from mewatch.sg (where I watched this Titoudao)
From a poor kampong girl to a shining wayang star, “Titoudao: Inspired By A True Wayang Star” is a series that follows the turbulent and colourful story of a real-life wayang star, Madam Oon Ah Chiam. A celebrated wayang performer who has to take on multiple hardships and challenges in life in order to realize her dreams and find her place in the world. This epic biography also parallels pivotal events in Singapore’s history to showcase how our lives have been transformed over the course of over 50 years. Taking on ever-changing roles in her life, Ah Chiam was brought up in a harsh environment and comes from a poor family of 12 children. Born during the Japanese invasion, her father has always suspected Chiam to be the product of a Japanese soldier’s rape and despised her for that. Having to deal with a mean-spirited father who constantly finds ways to abandon her, Ah Chiam had to prove her worth at a young age in order to convince her father to keep her in the family. After working multiple jobs prove insufficient to earn her stay, Ah Chiam made the ultimate sacrifice of joining the famous Sin Sai Hong wayang troupe along with her sister, Ah Dui.

How I Entertain Myself On Coronavirus MCO Days
I dare not think how my time could pass if I do not have Netflix to keep me occupied during this house confinement against the Coronavirus thingy. I was introduced to Netflix movies last year when I went visiting my son in Aberdeen. Ever since then, I was kind of glued to the movies/drama series whenever there is an opportunity to watch. When I returned to Malaysia, I bid Astro farewell and replaced it with Netflix instead. So much cheaper but the only thing is that the Internet/Wifi must be strong. If there is no Wifi, then there would no movies to watch....
The best thing with the Netflix programs is that there are English subtitles or Mandarin, depending on our own settings. I can watch Korean, Thai, Spanish, France and understand what they are saying... LOL... that is the best part. But most times, I watch American shows... be it comedy, horror, romantic, thriller, action packed, I am all for them! See why Netflix is worth subscribing to me? Oh, by the way, this is not a sponsored post promoting this network. Just sharing how I pass time and diverting from food posts once awhile.... LOL.....

My Memorable Time With Celine Dion In Las Vegas!
For the past few years I have been planning to watch Celine Dion live concert in Las Vegas but the timing was not right. The dates we planned did not coincide with her performances... either that or we reached a bit too late or she did not have live performances on the week we arrived and one time, her tickets were all sold out by the time we decided. However, this year I am so-very Happy that I finally "caught" her! Thanks to my sister who made the reservation way back in advance... planned our trip... made all the bookings to the hotel and tickets online.... and so on. Tickets are normally sold online, the cheapest one cost around $180 onwards... yes, we bought the cheapest ones... right at the back but we don't mind. This is a once-a-lifetime event to me!!
The concert was held in Caesar's Palace at 7.30pm. We started out early at 6.30pm, parked our car at a nearby hotel and walked a bit. So glad we finally make it this time... It was Celine's last concert in Las Vegas for that week, after which she will leave Las Vegas as we were told that she has been performing for the last 16 years!
