Our theme for this month is: The NEW Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog
The new September - December Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog is fabulous! SO many awesome new products will be launching on September 6th. This is my favorite time of the year, mostly because it means the temperature might finally drop below 90 degrees here in south Texas. Haha! We don’t really get a traditional Fall (or Autumn) season here, so I just live vicariously through my stamps. I’ll just crank up the air conditioning, sip my pumpkin spice latte and pretend. I’ve already started decorating the house for Fall, too. My poor husband just shakes his head and goes with it. He knows its my favorite time of year!

Picking a stamp set to use for this blog hop was tough! I finally decided on the Autumn Leaves stamps and dies. Ever since they arrived in my pre-order, they haven't left my desk. There are lots of different sizes of leaves. Some coordinate with the stamps and some have extra detail, like the leaves I used on my card. There are also wonderful sentiment label dies which coordinate beautifully with the sentiments in the set. I really think this bundle is a “must-have” for Fall!
I also used the new All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper on my card. I’m obsessed with this paper! One side of the paper has stunning copper metallic detail and the other side is a series of photographic images. For my card, I wanted to use BOTH sides of the paper.
Don’t you hate when you get a pack of paper and you really like both sides? It seems a shame to cover up one, so my layout uses both. I just love how the paper helped me decide my color palette for the card, too. I even cut a few of the leaves from the DSP for some extra pop and added Wink of Stella to the two Cajun Craze leaves, because we all need a little more sparkle in our lives, right? I also added a baker’s twine bow and some In Color Dots. The dots are technically Copper Clay but I don’t think you’d ever know because they look Cajun Craze on this card. So yay for matching embellishments!
