The Most Wonderful Time of the Month
A fellow blogger made this up and i had to share it with all the ladies! I loved this, it is so funny! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
Sung (sarcastically) to "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"
"The Most Wonderful Time of the Month"
It's the most wonderful time...of the month.
When the kids won't stop yelling
And everyone's telling you be of good cheer
It's the most wonderful time...of the month.
It's the crap-crappiest season of all
With no peace for my hubby, I'm bloated and chubby
My "friend" comes to call
It's the crap-crappiest season of all.
There'll be husbands for roasting
Blog fodder for posting
And carry a purse where you go
There'll be Advil and Kotex
Chocolate and no sex
And if I start crying you'll know...
It's that most wonderful time...of the month.
There'll be much tantrum throwing
And friends will be knowing
That "Aunt Flo" is near
It's the most wonderful time...
It's the most wonderful time...
It's that most wonderful time...of the month.

Tis the Season!
Holy Cow! We have been traveling fools. Just to Utah and back but it has been super fun. Since gas prices have gone down we are able to that a little more now. The kids love being able to see Grandma and Grandpa Wassom and Aunts and Uncles when we are there.
We just got back again and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! My sister graduated from Utah State (GO MELISA!!!) It's such a great feeling watching someone you care about succeed and know that they loved what they were doing. A BIG Thanks Debbie and Steve for helping us with the kids so they didn't have to sit through graduation. Thanks for all you guys do.
A few funny moments this weekend:
I was feeding Payton and leaned in to him and said say "momma, momma" he looked right into my eyes leaned forward as I did to him and said "dadda, dadda" I couldn't believe my 9 month old just teased me!!
Yes Payton has been saying dadda for a few weeks now but will not say momma! RRRRRRRRR! oh well the other two kids said momma first so I guess Ry has earned this one.
Then this morning Gavin was saying "Dood Mowning" to Reagan. (whom is not a happy riser) He said it again "Dood Mowning Reagan" She again said nothing in return so Gav goes "Or not!" as he rolls his eyes in annoyance. So funny:)
Then...(sorry one more) I was getting ready to nurse the baby and Gav says to me "He eats all da time, when he is done wif dat one he will want to drink that one." as he pointed to the other side of my chest. Holy Crazy Kids! They learn and remember so much. I just hope they don't remember when they are 10;)

How I met Ryan!
1.Where did you meet? I met Ry at North Forty. A local karaoke and game hangout. It's actually closed down now, we never got to go back and relive our first meeting. We always wanted to.
2.What was the first thought that went through your head when you met? Honestly, I really did think why is he staring at me? But at the same time I was thinking he is pretty cute.
3.Do you remember what he/she was wearing? He was wearing his P-coat over one of his many nice sweaters with jeans.
4.Where was the first time you kissed this person? In his parents kitchen.
5.Where did you go for your first date? Our first official date...we went to Big Judd's first and then saw Singles Ward in Rexburg. (That night Ry blew his engine, he forgot to put oil in before we left for Rexburg.)
6.How long did you know this person before you became a couple? We met Jan. 12th and became an official couple, (almost engaged) on Feb. 3! Not a long time.
7.How did he/she ask you out? We never really did that for a first date type thing. We were already a couple really, but he did ask if I wanted to go to Rexburg with him and some friends.
8.Has this person ever proposed to you? YES!!
9.Do you and this person have kids together? 3 cutie pies!
10.Have you ever broken the law with this person? Heck no! (Like Angela and Skip we are to afraid of getting in trouble.)
11.When was the first time you realized that you liked this person? I sort of knew right away, but I really understood my feelings on my lunch break one day while I was listening to a c.d. I had stolen from him that weekend. That is still our "song"! Firehouse baby!
12.Do you trust this person? YES
13.Do you see her/him as your partner in your future? And beyond!
14.What is the best gift she/he gave you? I think I may be getting it this year for Christmas!! He is really good at gifts. I won't forget our 2nd Anniversary, he had everything planned out. The babysitter for the night. I had no idea where we were going. We got to Ogden and we both got massages together and then stayed in Ogden for the night and he took me to Lagoon for the day! Some may say that is not a gift, but time alone after having kids is a gift to me.
15.What is one thing He/She does that gets on your nerves? Umm... I get irritated kind of easy, it's my biggest flaw... as for the ? it would have to be when he picks at his feet while we are watching a movie. I can hear the clicking of skin! I am getting annoyed just thinking about it. LOL:)

(This does not bother me anymore but it's a funny one that drove me nuts when we were first married. He would leave the remaining time on the microwave when he was done using it.)
16.Where do you see each other 15 years from now? Oh maybe one more kid, in a house, done with school and enjoying our time raising the family together!!! (Reagan will be 20, I better not be throwing a wedding yet!) Oh, Freaky!
17.What causes the most arguments? I HATE ARGUING but it would be money & family.
18.How long have you been together? since we met almost 7 years.
19.Are you Married? YES! 6 1/2 years

This was fun! You all should take a minute to do this, it's fun to think back on what brought you together, and to see where you have been!

Brandi-isms
K for all of you who know Brandi really well, all know that we have started calling funny things she says as "brandi-isms." I love Brandi beyond reason and one of the things I most love about her is her occasional naive nature and childlike innocence. So I have decided to keep track of the "brandi-isms" on our blog by posting them as they occur. Be aware that I am NOT making fun of her by any means but just sharing with all of you the joy of that which is "brandi-isms". Tonight Brandi had one that topped many of them. She was making german pancakes for lunch and got confused about measurements. She posed this scenario to me in question. She asked if she already had one cup of flour and wanted to add 1/3 more, how much she would need to add. I very obviously stated "um, 1/3 cup sweetheart." We laughed for about 5 minutes straight without stopping. Maybe you might get this and laugh as well. Or maybe you won't. Maybe it's just one of those moments that, well, you just needed to be there.

Speak Up!!
I am not a citizen of California so this is how I can help, I guess. I am posting this to let you all see this and send it to anyone you know in Cali. It's really a sad thing to see our rights and votes trying to be overturned.
California Citizens:
Sign a Petition to Gov. Schwarzenegger to Respect Prop 8 Election Results
If you are a California citizen, please act immediately to sign this petition to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger who is urging the California Supreme Court to overthrow the results of the recent free and fair election which passed Proposition 8, defining marriage as between a man and a woman.

TIGHT CHRISTMAS!!
This is an e-mail a fellow blog friend had that I really wanted to share!
My dear friends, Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I'm not getting an annual bonus and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below.
How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads: You need four maxi pads to make a pair. Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc. These slippers are: * Soft and Hygienic * Non-slip grip strips on the soles * Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh * No more bending over to mop up spills * Disposable and biodegradable * Environmentally safe * Three convenient sizes:
(1.) Regular,
(2.) Light and
(3.) Get out the Sand Bags. I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself.... Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you.

Happy Birthday Gavin!!
Okay Gavin has turned 3. I can't believe how fast time flies. My babies are not babies anymore and growing by the minute. I have a hard time around his birthday, just mixed emotions! From his birth to now is amazing and I am so blessed to have him with me still. I am going to take a little detour back to the day he was born as I do every year to help me remember how precious life is.
Gavin was born with what the doc's call a Diaphramatic Hernea(still not sure of the spelling) which means all of his intestines (bowel) were up in his chest cavity and didn't allow his right lung to grow properly and had not been able to expand at all. So when he was born he could not breathe. They go in and pull all the bowels out of the chest cavity and put it where it should go. In Gavin's case after they moved the bowel, his lung immediately began to expand. Not as full as the left but expand it did. Great news for me being a whole state away. He came out of surgery very fragile but better than before. He is now 3 and you would never know unless you watch him run for a few minutes and see that his lips have turned purple. He stops and says "mom i need my puff" which means he wants his inhaler. A constant companion from September to April. The cold weather also seems to bother his breathing. Otherwise he is all boy, totally into every sport out there and good at them too. He loves to pick on Reagan until she is screaming and also tries to wrestle with Payton. I am so grateful for this experience, although I don't ever want to live it again, we learned so much through this time of our lives. Love you Goopta!!
Gavin 3 yrs old
So that is the story of Gavin. His journey into this world and what an amazing feeling it is to watch this miracle play and laugh and run and breathe!!! I am so blessed to be his mommy.

Fall Fun!
So we decided to surprise Ryan's family for Halloween and trick or treat a day early. They were very surprised and loved it.(pics of the kids in there costumes coming soon.)
We wanted to get some pics of the kids in Ryan's parents back yard. It is beautifully landscaped and the colors are amazing right now. We had a blast. Here are a few of our fav's! (I am trying to zoom a few other pics. They are way to small to be on here.)

Yes we know that Gavin looks like he is in pain, this is just how he smiles. Funny boy!
