Apple’s big iOS 19 unveiling is a little over a month away, and according to a surprising source, it sounds like the update’s Apple Intelligence upgrades might include supporting multiple new third-party AI models.

Today Majin Bu shared a rumor about two big productivity upgrades coming to iPadOS 19 this year. But per Bu’s source, iOS 19 will make your iPhone far more powerful too, particularly when connected to an external display.

iOS 19 will be unveiled in less than two months at WWDC. And rumors indicate there’s at least one iOS 19 change coming that will be especially valuable for users of large iPhones: a relocated search bar in apps.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to make its upcoming iPadOS 19 overhaul “more like macOS.” This comes after many, many years of complaints about the capability of the iPad’s operating system.

If a change can be both stylish and practical such that it can last for years, then that’s a design change success. iOS 7 was too polarizing and required too many iterations before reaching stability to really hit that mark. iOS 19 has the potential to meet both metrics. It could also be a bigger deal than iOS 7 for three reasons.
