Argonaut Resins Mini Pharaoh Hound in Final Stages of Development

 

Argonaut Resins recently sent over images of the development of the Mini Pharaoh Hound, a 5-inch version of the original Pharaoh Hound figure. Above is the final wax stage of the Mini Hound sculpt next to a Mini Tuttz.

 

Here is a great shot of the full-sized 8-inch Pharaoh Hound (painted) next to the Mini. Eric from Argonaut was sculpting the Mini Hound at Toy Fair in February so that anyone interested in this porcess could watch him work. We covered his booth and the development of the Mini Hound in our special Toy Fair issue of Compulsion Magazine for the iPad.

Above (left to right) are several Argonaut sculpts: little Sucio from our Resin is King Series 2 blind box series, then the Mini Tuttz, the Mini Pharaoh Hound and the full-size hound.

Argonaut Resins 8" HellCat release TONIGHT

Argonaut Resins has again teamed up with Robbie Bush (aka DJ McBoing Boing) to start the launch of the all new 8 inch Tuttz artist custom series. In this new release Robbie continues his hellish flame theme carried over from his custom run on the Pharaoh Hound resins with these all new 8 inch Tuttz Hell Cats. The series will include a Mono gray tone Hell Cat, a Hell freeze over blue Hell Cat, a Hell Cat light and 2 Hell Cats dark. 

These 5 customs will go on sale Tuesday March 6 at 10PM Est. time in the Argonaut Resins online STORE. That's TONIGHT. Set your alarms.

There will a lot of other uber talented guest artists invited to take part in this 8 inch Tuttz custom series throughout the year and we will do our best to make it fun and exciting. The Tuttz figurine now comes in three sizes - 3.5 inch, 6.5 inch and 8 inches.

Argonaut Resins Pharaoh Hound: first painted pics!

Argonaut Resins has released the first images of painted Pharaoh Hounds: Pearl White and Black Onyx colorways, with matching Tuttz cats. The Hounds are Argonaut's follow-up resin figure to the extremely popular Tuttz figures. Every single Tuttz release sold out immediately; I'd expect nothing less from these beautiful Hounds! 

Each Pharaoh Hound resin figure is 8 inches tall and is handcrafted and hand painted locally in NJ by Eric Nocella Diaz of Argonaut Resins. Argonaut will be releasing more colorways during the run up to NYCC in mid-October. Eric also spoke of his plan to release a mini version of the Hound after NYCC, much like he did for the Tuttz cats.

SNEAK PEEK: Glyos x Tuttz "Bad Luck Squadron"

When Rob "Smack" Losito introduced END from Argonaut Resins to Matt, the creator of the Glyos line of DIY action figures, shit got real. Here's the dirt straight from END's mouth:

...as promised here are some teaser images of the secret project I'm collaborating with Onell Designs' Matt Doughty, creator of the famous Glyos. Rob Losito introduced me to Matt at the New York Comic Con last year and suggested we work together since I was a big fan of the Glyos figures. What we came up with is the Bad Luck Squadron! A fighting squad of Mini Tuttz action figures. This project was going to be a lot of work so we brought in artist Victor Durango to help with designing the bodies, accessories and all the paint work for the entire line, and the One Cam and  When Giants Meet to do the project photography. We will be releasing more images and pricing of the first wave in the near future on the Glyos site....and you know me - there will be lots of surprises in store!

The last wave of the ToysRevil Exclusive Red Tuttz are ready for launch! END added some glow in the dark pieces (GIDs) in this round along with a TRE logo-inspired color scheme, fully rendered custom figure so you get a 3rd chase bonus (so this wave is 3 regular figures, and 3 chases!). These last six Tuttz will be available Monday Feb. 7th at 9PM est. in the Argonaut Resins online store.

Argonaut Resins Xmas Tuttz releases + New Years chases

Argonaut Resins has released a colorful wave of their Tuttz resin cats in time for the holidays! There are 15 total figures in this wave, all uniquely painted. Tuttz figures are about 6.5 inches tall and hand cast in resin by Eric Nocella Diaz of Argonaut Resins. Each is $60 and there are just a few left. You can find them for sale here. My favorite is Tuttz #15: the "Xmas Past" chase figure.

Silver Tuttz Wave 2 release date Sunday Sep 19

Behold: the final images of Wave 2 of our Exclusive Silver Tuttz figures from Argonaut Resin! We will be releasing them for sale this Sunday, September 19th at 9pm EST (that's 6pm West Coast time) in the Exclusives section of our website.

Wave 2 consists of 6 blind-boxed Tuttz figures: 4 metallic Silver figures, one Blue Haze variant and one Cosmic Underworld variant. So no matter which one you get it's gonna be pretty darn cool, and EXTREMELY limited in nature. 

As with all Tuttzs, each figure is numbered and comes packed with a certificate of authenticity and a Tuttz story card.

Price will be $55 plus shipping. One per person.

Cookies N Cream Gold Tuttz Wave 2 nearing release

Wave 2 of the the Cookies-N-Cream Exclusive Gold Tuttz edition is nearing a release date! In the mean time here's a teaser of what to expect from the latest collaboration between Argonaut and Cookies N Cream. In case you haven't seen the sold out wave 1 Gold Tuttz - check it!

Argonaut Resins is now collaborating with selected artists on t-shirts! They ran a contest and let Jaime from KollectibleKulture pick the winner! Jaime picked Rich Page, who won an OG Tuttz for his efforts.

Plastic & Plush Exclusive Tuttz Green Jade Wave 2 drops Aug 12

Plastic and Plush is an excellent toy blog- if you don't already read P&P, I highly recommend it. I regularly check P&P along with SpankyStokes, TRE, VP & AFT (and many others!) for my toy news.

P&P is one of the lucky few of us who were able to secure exclusive colorways of Argonauts Resins Tuttz sculpt. 

Wave 2 of P&P's green-themed exclusive figures features 6 new Tuttz resins: Hellion, Jade Tint Underworld, Fireball, Clear Tint, Jade Clear Tint, and Jade Tint. These will be made available for sale on next Thursday August 12th 2010 at 8PM EST. 

They'll be packaged blindbox style this time around. And you can pick one up for $55.00 plus $10 shipping US ($20 international shipping) in the PlasticandPlush shop. This will be the last of the Jade exclusives.

Behold, a few sneak peeks at not only our exclusive silver Tuttz figures by Argonaut Resins, but also one of the chase figures: Robo Tuttz! There will be a few other chases in this series. Total number of Tenacious Exclusive Silver Tuttz figures will be 12. I believe the price will be the same as the other Tuttz figures Argonaut has released: $55. They will be blind-boxed in matching silver boxes and due to the low run number and the fact that there will be several chases, your chance of pulling a chase is pretty high!
