ThreeA Metal Gear Rex "Half-Size Edition"

One of the issues I have with ThreeA is the sheer size of some of the items they offer to me... I run a fairly small operation, so receiving, storing and then shipping giant ThreeA high-end pieces is kinda difficult for us at Tenacious Toys. Not to mention the fact that items prices over $300 tend to scare the art toy crowd away... I guess ThreeA realized that they better offer a smaller/cheaper option of some of those items.

Behold: the Metal Gear Rex "Half-Size Edition." Tons of articulation, just like the big version, but at a height of just 8.35" (20cm). The rail gun is about 11.5" long. Great size for a collector! When creating customs, the process involves quite a bit of imagination. One of the reasons that I am so compelled to work on ThreeA toy's robots is the rich back story. As attractive as it is, I can't leave well enough alone and wanted to branch out a bit into the history that isn't covered by the books and toys. 

After reading this entry on the ThreeA Wiki, I was inspired to create a 'bot that was outside of the normal body types. I assumed that there would be many unused prototypes, and this could be one of them. I wrote a bit of fiction about it below:

"As the leading competitor to Rothchild, Hobson & Dolch created many prototypes that never saw full production. "Dapper Lad" was a re-engineered 'bot built off an Armstrong frame. Utilizing the demoralizing psyops of the Square and a destructive armor-piercing RPG launcher, this 'bot was found to be unstable in it's programming. After a friendly fire incident during field testing, the "Dapper Lad" project was scrapped."

So, if you're a Transformers super fan, or a 3A super fan, these pieces will pretty much cap off your collection. Not every kid on the block will have a 15" $400 Bumblebee.... Buy this figure now at the Bambaland store.

I'm waiting for the full Premium Optimus Prime with the unfolding trailer. Isn't Optimus taller than Bumblebee? So he'd be like 20 inches tall with a 4 foot long trailer or something? Toyporn!!!

3A Adventure Kartel Action Portable 1/12-scale figures up for preorder now

 We now have all 14 of 3A's 1/12-scale Action Portable figures up for preorder on our website. I just paid them yesterday so once that payment clears, these items are shipping to us via Express from HK. I figure an arrival date of around Halloween-ish. These are 6-inch-tall figures priced at $45 each- a bargain as far as 3A is concerned.

I ordered VERY limited quantities so if you're looking for a specific figure (esp Cherry Bomb, Bleak Mission or Cold Merde) please don't wait... I don't expect many of these to last long. Buy 3 or more of them and get free shipping in the US.

On a related note, I've dropped the price on the 2 different Michonne's Pet 1/6-scale figures to $100.
