What are the specific rules for the 10,000 free minutes?
We provide each account with 10,000 free minutes every month during the first year. These 10,000 minutes can be used to deduct the duration of audio and video calls, interactive live streaming, as well as the duration generated by advanced features such as on-Íloud recording and MixTranscoding. For detailed deduction rules, please refer to Free Minutes Deduction.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes, we provide a free trial for up to 70 days, allowing you to fully experience all features of our RTC Engine product. Please note that each individual free trial is valid for 7 days, and you'll need to reclaim it once it expires.
What happens when my free minutes run out?
Your service will continue seamlessly if you have a monthly plan, top-up packages, or Pay-as-you-go enabled — usage is deducted in that order. If none of these are active, your service will pause until you add a payment option.
Can I use Top-Up Packages without a monthly plan?
Yes. Top-Up Packages can be added at any time, regardless of which plan you're on — including the Free Trial. Minutes are deducted after your Free Trial or plan minutes run out, and before Pay-as-you-go kicks in.
Do unused Top-Up minutes expire?
Yes. Top-Up Package minutes are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Any remaining balance at expiry is forfeited and not refunded. If you hold multiple packages, the one expiring soonest is always deducted first.
Can I disable Pay-as-you-go?
Yes, as long as you don't have an active paid plan or top-up package — Pay-as-you-go stays on automatically while any of those are in effect. When disabled, your service will pause once all available minutes are used up, rather than incurring per-minute charges.
Do Top-Up Packages cover Conversational AI?
No. Top-Up Packages apply to core audio/video calling, on-cloud recording, and MixTranscoding only. Conversational AI, Speech-to-Text, Translation, and TTS are billed separately at Pay-as-you-go rates.
