I know being here means we deep down believe they don't.

But then are artists just supposed to draw their art just for the love of the game?

In a perfect world I guess, but the world isn't perfect so we just have to deal with bills and credit.


I've seen a lot of people say artists can be expensive, but they never say how much they would pay for that artist's work.

That's the big question I feel, if you don't give a counter price, then it's easy for an artist to guess they just wan

Of course artists deserve due compensation whenever they produce a product that we enjoy.
No further qualifiers or addendums are required, to this point.

If an artist does not seek financial remuneration for their endeavors, then that is another, separate matter entirely.

A more interesting question to pose, pertains to why artists /don't/ deserve money. I would love to see people answer this, in seriousness, without dodging or hedging.

The wait for the 6th volume of the GNS is approaching 10 years.

Personally, once something has been in development for over 5 years I feel the odds of it ever coming out drops exponentially.
Sure it's a bit arbitrary and yes, they say they are working on it, but they are only half way done. Creative vision changes as we grow and new tools become available. There is no guarantee that the pages already done won't get scrapped and reworked in a never ending development cycle. Patreon provides a financial cushion that gives them cover to drag ass on this, and that's why I stopped giving.
