Lower Processing Fees and Great Customer Service

We came across Helcim during our search for a more affordable credit card processing option. They were very helpful in explaining their services and detailing what our fee expectations should be if switching to them. Once making the decision to switch service providers, they took the time to walk us through our account set up to ensure that everything was the way that we wanted it and that it would be efficient when we started processing payments through them. In the end, we lowered our fees by a significant percentage and have been more than pleased with the customer service provided so far.

Helcim call w/AJ Robles

AJ was super helpful in both my initial onboarding and follow up! He answered whatever questions I had or let me know how to reach someone for further assistance if necessary. Scheduling a call was very easy, there was a lot of availability and I know if I have any questions I can reach back out and things will be addressed adequately.

Imagine starting a brand new business

Imagine starting a brand new business. Making No Money for 2 weeks because you're a brand new business. Then suddenly having a pretty decent week that makes you and your employees super excited about the possibility of what's to come. Then Helcim returns all of that money back to your customers because you couldn't verify the phone number of someone who walked in to buy an item off the shelf. Who in the retail industry gets phone numbers for everyone who walks in the door? What a huge gut punch to a small business by this BULLY HELCIM. They can try to cover up legitimate reviews with fake account but please take your time and ready the reviews, I honestly wish I had.

Run Run Run

They returned a considerable amount of money to all of my clients the second week processing because I didn't have 1 customers phone number. They want to call and confirm transactions even for walk in customers. Seriously? Who in a retail establishment actually gets the phone number for everyone that walks in the door. Please do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs. They don't care about anyone.
They ARE NOT TRANSPARENT AT ALL.
They give generic responses to every question and their customer service is despicable.

EXPECT TO LOSE MONEY

I would give them a 0 star if it is at all possible. This company has been listed in many card processing companies review because they do not charge you a monthly fee and so people sign up with them, but if you want to lose all your money? Sign up with them. They might be cheap, but if you go with them, expect to lose money.

First, they will want to know what you are charging your customers for. They want to contact your clients. Have you ever heard of a processing company calling you to inquire what you are purchasing? If you have not, as a credit card consumer, then you know how you don't want to go through that kind of hell as a merchant.

Once that's done, and they feel like you could potentially be trusted, then they are fine with you using their platform until your first incident.

Then after your first chargeback, you can expect to lose all your money after that. It might take them 2 weeks to a month to make that decision. At the mean time, you continue to process your cards and Helcim will reverse all those charges back to your clients.

As a small business owner, you might just lose all your livelihood. Think twice before you sign up.

Excellent Person skill

Ann was remarkable in making us feel comfortable first of all before telling us about the product and service.

The laid back office design and her approach made it look like a conversation over a cup of tea.

Unexpected experiance

Jocelyn was very competent in her walk though. I usually expect or hope for that in most presentations like this. In my opinion Jocelyn went another step and was pleasent, funny, and thoughtful. That is not something I usually encounter. She's great, and if the rest of your staff is anything like her you must have a very good company.

Seamless set up

It was very easy to get set up with the system, everyone has been so helpful with any questions and are very quick to communicate with you. The website is easy to use and the system is easy to use as well.

Outstanding Results for This Small Business

Small business with a BIG BANK merchant for 15 years made the hesitant leap to Helcim based on reviews and a very impressive monthly fees comparison.

And never looked back.

When the option became available for Helcim merch fees to be charged separately, rather than subtracted immediately from a batch, it made accounting a breeze: Helcim takes customer input into account.

For any need to call Support, the wait time was minimal. Staff understood the issue and were patient describing how to correct.

So much account info is available when logging into the online Helcim account. There are no mysteries about fees. Many types of edits/changes can be made in real-time.

The Smart Terminal is eye candy, and easy to use, with large POS number keys. The ability to personalize the receipt with logo and business info is an appreciated professional touch.

Improvements for the Smart Terminal that would be very helpful: Autofill when entering a street address, and the ability to retain a repeat customer's data (esp. email for receipts).

The reader (Smart Terminal) design and screen colors are visually appealing to customers, with an enjoyable, upbeat little "sound" upon payment completion. Little details like that are so important!

The switch to Helcim was ALL positive.

Is this company a scam... I'll find out today.I just joined helsum and made a lot of…

I hope this company is not a scam.
I just joined Helsim and made a lot of money this weekend vending.

I was told everything was set.We're all ready to go now. So I used helps them this weekend to process a lot of money and a lot of sales. Ive been looking for release of funds into my bank for a week now.

Now.... They're asking for a picture of my company, a picture of my website, a picture of my social media to decide if they're going to release my funds.

I'm very concerned that this is a scam company. They do not have a phone number for their trust and security department, which does not breed trust, so you can check on what's going on and why they haven't released my funds.

If they wanted a picture of my business website et cetera, they should have asked me that in the process of acceptance.

At this point, this company could be a scam, I certainly hope not. Kim Whitt

I really wanted to like them.

I really wanted to like them.
The on boarding team were great and the value proposition looked super. We were all set up to go, so they told us......
We got a payment from a customer and things went sideways fast.
Suddenly the "Trust and Safety" team sprung to life.
They wanted to know personal info about the owners of the business who payed and needed a whole set of new info about us. "We have to because of ......laws" they told us.
Odd...other payment processors don't.
The shady companies say "we have to" when they really mean "we choose to"
Every new volley of requirements was "all they'd need", until they wanted more. Stool samples seemed imminent and the payment was 10 days in limbo. We asked them to just refund the customer and we'd collect through our old system. They finally released the funds.
Thankfully we used them just once with a long standing customer.
Avoid.

Great POS System for Small Business

I have a new retail shop and chose Helcim for POS. The onboarding team has been fantastic in walking me through everything. The support line has also been super helpful for my many questions as a new business owner. The payments have hit my account within 2 business days each time. The cost of equipment is very reasonable and I was able to integrate with a cash drawer and receipt printer. I am really happy with the whole experience and highly recommend them!

I’ve worked with many merchant service…

I’ve worked with many merchant service providers, and Helcim has been the best by far. Their customer service is top-notch—responsive and helpful, especially when we’ve had equipment issues. Their fee structure is transparent and competitive, without any hidden costs. The platform is easy to use, and the reporting features are robust, making it simple to track transactions and manage our business. I’ve used Stax/Fatmerchant before, which was better than some others, but Helcim really stands out in terms of overall support, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use.

Great Fees, Great Support!

Helcim has been a great addition to my business. I particularly love the saver fee option and their fees are a lot more stable to help a growing business. The support you get is outstanding. These people are always willing to help and very knowledgeable as well. Highly recommend especially if you're looking for an alternative online processor that won't take a huge chunk of your hard earned income.

Helcim has been amazing so far! They had the best rates when I called around. Jocelyn was amazing on our setup zoom call. She answered all of the questions that I had, gave me some tips and she followed up right away with some things that needed to be changed on our account. AMAZING customer service! Helcim has the best pricing by far

Helcim has the best pricing by far for credit card processing. They're very reasonable, especially if you're only an occasional user of credit cards, since there is no monthly fee. I think we've been using them about a year, and I've never had a problem with any transaction. Whenever I've contacted them, they reply right away. Super friendly and helpful!
