Hello Vans Reviews 

Front end experience feels and looks legitimate with easy payment and invoices issued in a timely way. However, I had a frightening experience with Hello Vans. The driver arrived 90 minutes early despite 6pm being specified on the booking, confirmed in writing, on the phone and then again via text with customer service. He agreed to return at the correct time.

When he returned his boss called him incessantly requesting additional payments for “government charges”. I said if they’re included on the invoice they would of course be paid. He then called again requesting payment for a parking ticket. The driver had not been issued a parking ticket. Note that I had also paid the 38% deposit prior to arrival and the remainder of the invoice balance once the driver arrived at 6:13pm as per the terms of payment in Hello Vans’ communications. He called relentlessly as his driver moved the boxes, requesting these additional payments.

Once we finally got on the road he called again this time shouting and ranting aggressively accusing me of having not paid the balance. I shared a screenshot of the timestamped bank transactions from my mobile banking with him and the driver. I had been issued a receipt by HelloVan for the first payment but not the second, hence sharing the detailed bank transactions as proof. He continued to accuse me of being a liar and threatened to call the police - which I welcomed as I had all the proof required. He of course did not call the police but escalated his verbal abuse and harassment at one point he instructed the driver to stop and withhold my belongings. Thankfully the driver did not follow those instructions. This harassment continued for 20 minutes until we arrived at the final location.

This was a very frightening and stressful experience. Clearly there is no vetting for subcontractors and the aggression, verbal abuse and harassment I experienced was shocking and scary. Avoid especially if you are a woman on your own.

Hired a Luton van and driver/labourer very abruptly, with 2 days notice to flee a domestic violence home - the staff at the office were extremely helpful and patient with my situation and made me feel at ease knowing I was getting out of there. I was given several options to best suit my needs at the time.

The travel was fine, the unloading was both efficient and quick. Hats off to the driver for being professional whilst leaving my previous address as it could've turned into a situation.

I cannot recommend this company and their services enough, I'm very happy with it. Price was very agreeable too.

Very professional and friendly men. Collected and delivered a sofa on time and kept both buyer and seller updated on the journey. Definitely recommend 😁

Had a move with Adam and his colleague. Excellent service. One of the more stress free moves I’ve done. Good communication, they were careful with my items, SUPER QUICK carrying things (like superhuman) and overall i was really happy. Had my items moved across the country within a few hours. thanks guys!

Amazing service! I used HelloVans as a student for a long distance move across the UK, which would’ve easily been really stressful but my mover Hamza was friendly and very helpful with moving everything into my new place. Communication was easy and it made everything much smoother.

Really fast work very good service finished 30min early even only booked for two hours would use again

Unfortunately they came to my home to remove a cupboard from the bedroom to my lounge. They did not disassemble the furniture and made a dent in my wall which they denied. They then took false footage of the wall once they had disassembled the cupboard to make out that the damage was there but it had been done when they tried to move it without disassembling it. They were threatening and aggressive demanding payment and would not leave without it. My two children 3 and 1 were crying and on me with all the aggression shown. It was a harrowing experience. We are awaiting a response from the customer team and will update this review.

The main problem is that the van wasn’t large enough. I ordered (and paid for) a large van, but a small van was used. This required 2 car journeys to get the remaining stuff.

The removal men were good and helpful, but they only knew the post codes of the 2 properties and not the full addresses.

Big thank you to Mohammed. He rang to confirm address and turned up on time. He was friendly and helpful. It wasn’t easy as no parking near pick up. He had a van with tail lift. He made sure everything safely in new room. Thank you.

Mohamed G20 and his team in Glasgow did a great job with my move. The service was easy to book and on time, everything was taken care of quickly, and my things arrived in good condition. I would recommend this service.

Absolutely amazing service from Mohammed (ID G20)! He did a fantastic job moving my shed from my old house to my new one. The whole process was handled professionally, carefully, and efficiently.

As someone who works in logistics, I really appreciate good organisation, reliability and a strong work ethic — and Mohammed was excellent. I would honestly like to have more workers like him in the industry. He was professional, friendly, hardworking and took great care throughout the whole move.

I will definitely be using Mohammed and the team again to move more goods in the future. I highly recommend Mohammed (G20) to anyone looking for a reliable and professional removal service.

The experience was very great. My driver Mohamed (G20) was very helpful in moving to a new home in Glasgow. He was very swift in helping bring down my boxes downstairs to the van. He also helped with moving stuff into the new flat and arranging the items in their intended locations. Will definitely use this service again in future.

Great service. Highly recommended. No issues booking a removal for the Sunday online at 3pm on the Friday afternoon when I was let down last minute by a less efficient operator. Reasonable cost. Brilliant service. Turned up slightly early and worked very hard to complete in the allotted time. No complaints and only praise for the lads doing the shifting. So in short - easy and quick to book; turned up on time; efficient, presentable, hard working and friendly operatives. Highly recommended.

Moving is stressful enough without the moving company making it worse. Unfortunately, our experience with HelloVan was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend them.
I booked a 2pm move with one man, but two men showed up early at around 1:30pm when I wasn’t even there yet. The older man, who seemed to mainly be driving, spent most of the time complaining about parking and repeatedly telling me I would be fined, despite me having already sent photos showing that parking directly outside was possible.
The same issue happened at the new property, with constant complaints about where they had to park and potential fines. Even though I had paid for two hours and two flights of stairs, they were already trying to leave at around 3:25pm and left some of our belongings on the street rather than completing the job.
To make matters worse, while one of the movers briefly used our bathroom, the older man was banging on the door and telling us we would be charged extra, despite the job having started at 2pm as booked.
Overall, a really stressful and unprofessional experience. I would definitely look elsewhere if you’re booking a moving company.

Wow amazing company who go above and beyond! The removal guys were so helpful and supportive in a stressful situation. Friendly , polite, professional and nothing was too much trouble. My belongings were treated respectfully and
everything was done in good time. Once collected delivery to the new address was prompt. Everything was put out exactly as I wanted without hesitation. What a great experience from a removal firm. Thank you so so much and if I ever need a removal firm I shall be in touch plus recommend to all who ask if I know of anyone that can do removals. Cheers Guys! Oh and well done to the polite booking team who fitted me in and quoted a fair price.

Had a genuinely wonderful service from these guys. The owner called me the day before to check the details of what to expect and on the day the workers were extremely polite and helpful. Making no fuss, very reasonable price also. It made moving day that much less stressful. Very highly recommend 👌🏼
