*"I'm extremely disappointed with the overall delivery experience for this purchase. The item itself — a Lamy AL-star fountain pen — was fine and as described, well packaged and in good condition. However, the shipping and delivery process let the transaction down badly.

The listing clearly stated an estimated delivery time of 3 days. In reality, the parcel did not arrive until 7 days after ordering — more than double the promised timeframe. To their credit, Morgans Direct did respond when I raised the issue, which I appreciated. However, the delivery company itself never responded at all — no explanation, no apology, nothing — despite being the one actually responsible for the delay.

What makes this even more frustrating is the size and weight of the item. A single fountain pen weighs well under 100g — nowhere near Royal Mail's 2kg small parcel limit, and easily light enough to have gone as a large letter or small parcel via Royal Mail's standard 24 or 48 tracked services, both inexpensive and reliably delivered within 1-3 working days. There's no reasonable excuse for an item this small and light to take a full week to arrive.

I want to be fair: the product itself deserves credit, Morgans Direct did engage when contacted, and I have no complaints about how the item was packaged. But the delivery company let the whole experience down — slow, with zero communication or accountability when things went wrong.

Overall: good product, responsive seller, badly let down by a delivery company that was both unreliable and completely unresponsive. I'd think carefully before relying on this delivery method again."*

I have bought the same Morgan diary for many years. It is an excellent product, and is great for me, as I work a very irregular shift pattern.
I bought next year’s diary off Amazon, and it had a manufacturing fault. The dates at one point were out of sequence.
I contacted Morgan Direct, and they were happy to arrange a replacement after I had provided photographic evidence of the fault. At the moment, I am waiting for the replacement to be delivered.
Excellent customer service, so thank you from me. I will, of course, continue to purchase your products.

I tried on numerous occasions to purchase a A4 2 page per day desk diary 3 times it wouldn’t accept my payment, I called and spoke to someone who sent me a link which I tried to use, again to no avail, my card is fine as I was using it before and after trying to purchase a diary.
