Like the food quality, tastes & flavours, portion size and packaging. I would prefer less little plastic packets of things. maybe offer a reduced price option if we supply ingredients like honey, soya from our own stock. Also please use fresh garlic and ginger rather than little plastic pouches of processed stuff.

I was incredibly excited to start my journey with Mindful Chef, and after painfully choosing my meals to order (so many of them looked and sounded great) ..I placed my order, paid and ensured the food I had in the house would be used up by the delivery date.
*insert the issue* -when paying it automatically subscribes you to received future deliveries. As this was my first try and wanted to ensure I liked the process and meals, I emailed to cancel that subscription for now. . . . Delivery date comes, and I have been at work all day/ utterly starving and cannot wait to try my meals. . . They had not arrived. I emailed utterly perplexed and slightly worried something happened to the delivery driver, only to find that they not only cancelled the subscription but my order.
It appears mindful chef cannot comprehend a different between ‘I want my order but no future orders’ and instead removes all from your account! 🤦♀️ . . . Worse, I have had painfully challenging communications attempting to explain the difference not only to representatives but to management also. I am still in this process.
Who knows if the food is good or great- because it’s a bushtucker trial navigating the ‘customer care’ or trying to remotely get some.
Very nice and easy recipes. Never miss any of the ingredients and always on time. I would definitely recommend it and I would only say that it is a bit pricey.

So we’ve had the Mindful Chef box for 3 weeks. The positives - tried some new foods, includes good quality ingredients, reduced our food waste, took the mental load out of thinking what to have for dinner especially for me as a coeliac as all their recipes are gluten free.
The negative - the adverts where they claim is reduces your food cost. It definitely doesn’t - even with the 25% discount on the first 4 boxes our weekly food costs increased by £30-£40. Don’t get me wrong, I know and appreciate I’m paying for convenience but this is a false claim to use in their advertising.
We’ve cancelled the service now as at full price we just don’t feel the positives outweigh the cost of it but all in all it’s been the best meal box we have tried. We may get a box in the future every now and then for a treat.

We believe that our prices reflect the quality of our products, as we collaborate with some of the best suppliers in the country.
Our pricing structure also encompasses the comprehensive service we offer at Mindful Chef, covering packaging and delivery costs.
It's important to note that our recipes feature more nutritious, fresh vegetables, and our meat and fish portions are actually 25% larger than those offered by our competitors. This means that while our prices might be higher, the value for money is equal to, if not greater than, what you'd find elsewhere.
Regardless, I have forwarded your feedback to our product team for review, with the aim of making improvements.
It's great that you found it beneficial overall, but I can see why you’d want to cancel if the costs were too high for regular use. Maybe a box here and there as a treat is a good compromise!
I like the healthy focus of the mindful chef boxes, particularly helping to include more veg into meals. I thought the menu was a little restricted compared to other providers, and the portion sizes were a little smaller. I also struggled to dispose of the freezer pack contents, whereas other providers just use ice that melts easily.

When it comes to portion sizes all of our recipes are between 450-650 calories and are all nutritionally balanced. The exact amount will depend entirely on the ingredients used and the calorie density of those ingredients but they should all be enough for the main meal of the average adult. Regardless, I will raise your feedback to the chef's team.
Sadly we had to stop using water-based ice packs last year as the condensation they create caused a lot of damage to boxes and resulted in a lot of boxes not making it to their final destinations, but we are still exploring this as an option.
We’re working closely with our suppliers to explore new materials, technologies and processes and hope to offer a much better solution as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can always double-check our recycling/ disposal advice on the website here.

We have been using Mindful Chef for nearly 3 years. We love it. We order 2 meals a week which gives us structure, flexibility plus variety. The quality of meat, poultry, fish and fresh fruit & vegetables are excellent, as is the diversity of international flavours. It’s easy to skip meals for a week or more due to travel, or we aren’t inspired by the options one week or another. It’s an easy & fun way to spend time together prepping / dinner. Portion sizes are large and we often have some for lunch the next day.

This is a part of my routine that I have to say I'd be a little lost without now. There are no other ways of getting a healthy fresh meal that tastes fantastic without searching recipes and overbuying ingredients. Mindful Chef is miles away from Hello Fresh in its quality of ingredients and recipes and was an integral part of my losing weight over the last year. The only small negative is that they, as a company, are taken in by various spurious globalist narratives, but isn't everyone. Really fantastic company - give them a try.

My partner and I have enjoyed most of our chosen meals; during the first week we had two meals that were incomplete and needed to have a main ingredient supplied from our store cupboard. Plus the green herbs supplied were wilted and yellow. The second week was okay; most meals were adequate but at least two were not a filling meal for two adults.

Great healthy recipes and excellent quality produce,, The meals are extremely tasty. Although the overall cooking time is a little longer. Arrived on time well packed even the box it came in was great and will be reused before recycled .

Our packaging is 90% recyclable and we are on a mission to remove plastic from our boxes. But we won't do this at the expense of the environment. Making fast changes without properly evaluating both the positive and negative outcomes could have a bigger impact in the future.
We've pledged to accelerate the reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions to reach a 1.5-degree trajectory leading to net-zero by 2030 along with 500 other B Corp companies at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

The venison and chicken received for 2 of the meals were tough, the venison especially, in the past we have had some nice tender venison. Last box delivered was ‘open’, top open and bottom started to come apart. Meat options are becoming limited, Mindful Chef seem to now be concentrating on veggie and fish meals which are not for us, hence have cancelled my subscription.

I would prefer that all meals were based on my making or cooking its components. Really disappointed at the falafel being mass produced and a bit concerned at the microwave rice. I would also have liked a text reminder of ordering deadlines as email often get lost. I ended up with a selection of meals I wouldn’t have chosen.

3 weeks in for 2 very foody chefy types, and the quality of the ingredients, and recipe choices are excellent. It’s a very simple process to sign up and pick what’s on the menu next week. The only niggle is DPD as a delivery partner. They’re like young teenagers on mischievous night … knocking and running!

Very good. Gets us to eat more vegetables and healthier generally. Quite expensive but you do get a suitable amount of protein. Could have more variety of meals with less stir fries and curries and more other dishes.

My friend has been telling me about mindful chef for some time and I’ve always thought it wasn’t anything I would be interested in, particularly as I love cooking and am reasonably adept at it. Recently I’ve been incapacitated due to injury and couldn’t drive so I thought I would give it a go. I’ve had five meals per week and without exception we have enjoyed them all. There’s no thinking about what to make or what to buy and none of those endless leftover Tupperware’s that go into the fridge on their way to the dustbin. We love mindful chef and can’t imagine not having it. We are converts. The only downside is my friends “I told you so” - yes truly insufferable

Boxes delivered correctly and left on doorstep. On the whole menu choice is good but I am a bit concerned there’s too many spicy ones with not enough low calorie healthy vegetables. I wish it was all organic and free range. On average I manage to pick 4 recipes a weeks for 2 people @£60/ wk ish - however it is getting more expensive. Im very unhappy poor ingredient substitutes can be made and sometimes the ingredients are not fresh ie salad/ spring onions/ garlic/ green beans wellpast their best. However I do look around at other food boxes and on balance it’s the easiest/ healthiest food box around.

Enjoying trying the different recipes every night. We ve enjoyed them all up to now . The only thing is by the end of the week in the 4th and 5th meals the veg is a bit soft and starting to get discoloured even tho we keep it in the fridge. Otherwise we are happy.

We've been using Mindful Chef for a few months now, and in that time I think we've had one meal which we wouldn't order again, nothing wrong with it, just not to our taste.
