Agumon-species
The Agumon-species, or "the various Agumon" (いろいろなアグモン Iroirona Agumon), is a family of Digimon whose names and designs are based on the original Agumon. Depending on the data they absorb and their environment, some Digimon of the same species can change their appearance, form, and even the internal structure of their Digicore. These Digimon are then counted as a separate species from the original Digimon. Agumon, in particular, has many different species, meaning a variety of unique "Agumon".[1]
These Agumon are Child stage Digimon that are usually Reptile or Dinosaur types. The Agumon-species is related to the Greymon-species, as the effect of the X-Antibody on Agumon improves its qualities for evolving into the exceptionally outstanding Dinosaur-types, the Greymon-species. Agumon (X-Antibody) also evolves from a Reptile-type (as Agumon) into a Dinosaur-type itself.[2]
