A Digimon capable of concealing itself in shadows. The more data it accumulates, the stronger it becomes, and its power surpasses even that of Perfects depending on how much it has stored. It possesses many eyes, and does not turn a blind eye to any of the enemy's movements. Its Special Moves are cursed beams fired from all of its eyes (Janengan), and transforming the data it has accumulated into objects and using them both offensively and defensively (Gugen).

Appearances[edit]

Anime[edit]

Digimon Adventure:[edit]

Eyesmon is a major antagonist.

It first appeared in "The Jet-black Shadow Invades Tokyo" when multiple Eyesmon: Scatter Mode merged into their true form. Eyesmon attacked Metal Greymon, Lilimon, and Atlur Kabuterimon by using the data of Tokyo both offensively and defensively before Ishida Yamato with Were Garurumon, Takenouchi Sora with Garudamon and Kido Joe with Zudomon arrived. All six Chosen Children's Perfect Digimon managed to defeat Eyesmon with their combined attacks, but it survived and evolved into its Perfect form, Orochimon.

Eyesmon is a horrific, parasitic Digimon that appeared in "Red Eye" who slowly erodes and kills people by luring and possessing them. All of his victims have red eyes (regardless of their original eye coloration) and eyes grow out of their bodies. They would become abnormally gossipy and thirsty for information, even committing indecent acts to find the information. Eventually, the eyes on their body will peel off and they will die as their bodies disintegrate. Eyesmon has claimed at least 5 people (including Emma Hanes) with at least 1 confirmed bodycount.

When Emma Hanes went from America to Japan, Eyesmon lured her into a toilet and possessed her, then influenced her to snoop on Kiyoshiro. To hide the eyes growing on her body, Emma wears winter clothing even if the episode took place in Summer, and to hide her abnormal red eyes, she wears shades. She would also keep using excuses to run away from Kiyoshiro and even try to remove the eyes on her body with a surgery kit, but they are all connected to it so she cannot actually remove them because of the excessive pain. Eventually, Ruli had a meeting with the rest of the group and Emma, where she tells of a mysterious infection circulating the internet, which matches what Emma was suffering from in the show proper. She then went to the toilet where Emma was hiding in and discovered her red eyes and an eye-like growth coming from her neck. The trio then asked Emma about the situation, at which the eye-like growths on her body started to split off from it and an Eyesmon: Scatter Mode appeared from it. Angoramon recognizes the Digimon that came from Emma's shadow and the trio concocted a plan to save their friend from potential death. they wrapped the eye growths on Emma's body with bandages and asked her to shut down her eyes, causing Eyesmon himself to appear and attack them.

In the battle, Eyesmon uses Gugen to transfer various objects that he witnessed into the battlefield and directly throw them on the humans, then possessed Emma herself and used her body to cast Janengan. Hiro counters this by ordering Canoweissmon to radiate a bright light that expels all of the Eyesmon: Scatter Mode that forms the greater Eyesmon from Emma's body, then Symbare Angoramon and Tesla Jellymon took care of the rest. All of the victims were restored back to normal afterwards.

There was one Eyesmon: Scatter Mode remaining from the greater Eyesmon. It was captured in an enclosure where it ranted about how it only wanted to have people gather information for him. Angoramon suggests that they send Eyesmon to a community to be heavily monitored.
