⇨ Japanese Styracomon is a superdreadnought-class power fighter whose bulk rivals that of Ultimate Brachimon. It prides itself on its armor and muscles, and can generate an energy field from the horns that cover its whole body. With these various defense mechanisms, physical attacks are meaningless against Styracomon.
Thanks to its absolute defensive capabilities, Styracomon prides itself on withstanding all of its opponent's attacks. Thus, each Special Move it uses when launching an counterattack is powerful; its "Crimson Crest", in which it concentrates and fires energy from the horns on its head armor, and "Dreadnought Stampede", where it charges with its boosters while shooting missiles from all over its body, completely pulverize the opponent.
There are many Digimon that admire its heroic fighting style of withstanding and countering attacks, and several Digimon that take pride in their strength come to Styracomon as challengers.

| As a "superdreadnought-class power fighter" with a technique called the Dreadnought Stampede, the official profile of this Digimon references its partner, Owen Dreadnought, from Digimon Liberator. Styracomon is an evolution for Medusamon, but the body plan and armor design directly reference Owen’s other partner Digimon, War Greymon. The arm gauntlets in particular call to mind the Dramon Killers of War Greymon.
Styraco, from the Ancient Greek word styrax, refers to the spiked end of a spear. This connects to the Ancient Greek origin for Medusamon’s name, Medusa. This connection is strengthened by the species names of two different, but closely related ceratopsian dinosaurs, the Medusaceratops and the Styracosaurus. The first discovery of Medusaceratops was initially misidentified as an occurrence of Styracosaurus albertensis, based on misidentified frill spikes.[1] Styracosaurus itself means "spiked lizard" in Ancient Greek, and as the facial adornments of the Styracosaurus are identified as frills and horns, Styracomon shares the frilled lizard motif of Elizamon. Styracomon is also described as "a vigorous power fighter who is the exact opposite of the delicate and cruel Medusamon".[2]
