Digimon Liberator[edit]
During the finals of the Digimon Card Game World Championship in "Welcome to LACUNA", the announcer introduced the participants: the defending champion, Owen Dreadnought, and the challenger, Zenith. With a call of "Digital Gate, Open", the players set up their decks, Security and hands. The card game began with Owen playing an Agumon. The battle then moved to the end, Zenith and a Ragnamon defeating Owen and his War Greymon.
Receiving his trophy from a person in an Agumon suit, Zenith told the interviewer that he needed to beat Owen to reach the top and was glad to accomplish that. Asked about his next goal, he answered that he would aim to be the top Digimon Liberator player. The announcer asked if Digimon Liberator was the game that recently finished its year-long closed beta, and Zenith explained that he had been part of said beta, which he found amazing, with a big grin on his face.
During the Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode (Black) incident, Zenith's data was deleted while saving Owen from an Imperialdramon clone.
In "MIRACLE MAKER (Part 1)", after utterly crushing Kazama Shoto, humiliating him and putting him off the conflict, Zenith (as Xeno) challenges Owen to a situational Battle, recreating the final turns right before Zenith defeated Owen in the World Championship.
During "MIRACLE MAKER (Part 2)", Owen suspends Medusamon to activate the Alliance effect of Medieval Dukemon, attempting to teach Zenith about teamwork and friendship by showing his own growth thanks to Shoto. Owen then evolves his Medusamon to his new trump card, BT24-018 Styracomon. Zenith is defeated by Owen’s War Greymon and Styracomon.[2]
Novel[edit]
Digimon Liberator[edit]
Context about how Zenith managed to work for Unchained was provided in DEBUG.11-3. After Zenith got his avatar deleted during the Imperialdramon attack, he ended up in a bizarre space where Unchain approached him. Unsatisfied by being no longer able to duel Owen again, he made a deal with Unchain to have his body modified and team up with Unchain's grand plan to sacrifice countless players to form their new world.
