The Unique Emblem (ユニークエンブレム Yunīku Enburemu; Dub: Novel Emblem[1] / Unique Emblem[2]) is an item in Digimon Liberator given only to members of the debug team.
Functions[edit]
- Proves the owner belongs to the debug team.[2]
- Allows the user to be granted the powers of a Game Master.[3]
- Allows access to the Garden without a Game Master's permission.[3]
- Enter debugging mode[2], allowing the user to interfere in battles already underway. This allows debuggers to resolve bugs related to unexpected Digimon behavior, as well as handle out-of-control NPCs.[3]
- Allows the user to evolve their Partner Digimon outside of battle above Level 3.[3]
- A Digimon can be given full evolution permissions, allowing them to evolve on their own.[4]
- Save and back-up function as a safety net in case the debugger loses a battle against a rogue NPC, which may corrupt a player's data upon defeat. However, it is still in a developmental stage and isn't guaranteed to work.[3]
- Alter Ride an existing card into an Unique Emblem card. This function is seemingly automatic.[5]
- Protects the user from Unchain's "Security Conversion" ability which turns players into security. However, there's a limit to how much damage the Unique Emblem can take before breaking. While the ability's active, the Unique Emblem is always visible, with cracks forming in it as it takes damage.[6][7]

Appearances[edit]
Manga[edit]
Digimon Liberator[edit]
The Unique Emblems first appeared in "SELECT FEW (Part 1)" while Owen Dreadnought and Kazama Shoto chased a Maquinamon. Owen used his to evolve his Partner Digimon, Elizamon, into Dimetromon, and Shoto did the same with his Muchomon, evolving it into Cockatrimon.
Continuing in "SELECT FEW (Part 2)", Owen and Shoto then used their Unique Emblems to enter debugging mode, letting them break into an active battlefield where Close was facing the three Deep Savers NPCs.
Shoto used his Unique Emblem to evolve Muchomon into Cockatrimon to ride him once again in "RAID ON THE WORLD (Part 1)".
Violet Inboots activated her Unique Emblem at the end of "RAID ON THE WORLD (Part 2)" to fight Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode (Black). It was shown again during that fight after Violet evolved Ghostmon into Necromon in "OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 1)". Shoto then broke into said battle as it was about to end in "OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 2)" using his Unique Emblem to enter debugging mode, cancelling the fight and saving Violet.
Yao Qinglan thought about using her Unique Emblem to stop the fight between Shoto and Sam the Clown in "SHOW ME YOUR BRAVE HEART (Part 1)" but was stopped by Sangomon as that would put her data in danger. Nonetheless, she still tried to go for it in "SHOW ME YOUR BRAVE HEART (Part 2)" when Shoto's defeat seemed certain, but was once again stopped, this time by Kinosaki Arisa who noticed Zephagamon was glowing.
In "Prelude of Destruction (Part 1)", Shoto and Owen used their Unique Emblems to evolve their Partner Digimon once again to head towards the Emerald Coast's Sanctuary.
During her fight against Smiley Navigator in "UNKNOWN BREAKER (Part 2)", Yao's Unique Emblem overrode the P-036 Blue Memory Boost!! in her Security[8] and changed on its own into the card BT22-096 Unique Emblem: Poseidia Lagoon to protect her. Despite being a Digimon Liberator developer, Yao was unaware of this feature.
Kinosaki Mirai used her Unique Emblem to evolve her Hanimon into Kaguyamon to use her as transportation in "STAND BY ME (Part 1)".
During her fight against Close in "STAND BY ME (Part 2)", Arisa's Unique Emblem overrode the EX7-030 Cendrillmon in her Security[9] in her Security and changed on its own into the card BT22-098 Unique Emblem: Fable Waltz.
Unchain explained to Close in "I WISH, I CAN (Part 1)" that they were collecting the data of all the Unique Emblems to obtain the power of Override, which they needed to put an end to Digimon Liberator and enter the Digital World. To do so, they took Close's form to analyze her data and kidnapped Sunarizamon. Later on, during their fight, Close's Unique Emblem triggered, breaking Sunarizamon free of Unchain's brainwashing and returning it to Close's side. Unchain was shocked at Close's Unique Emblem awakening. Continuing in "I WISH, I CAN (Part 2)", Close's Unique Emblem overrode security cards, and maybe even her hand, deck and battle area, which Unchain claimed was because Close had the Unique Emblem's base system. One of these cards was the one born from her Unique Emblem: EX10-069 Unique Emblem: Gravel Hearts.
After regaining her confidence during her fight against Arisa in "ONLY MY PRIDE (Part 2)", Violet gained and her own Unique Emblem card, BT23-098 Unique Emblem: Soul Banquet.
Before their clash in "HOPELESS TO YOU (Part 2)", Owen and Xeno flashed their Unique Emblems at each other; Owen's from his D-Storage, Xeno's from the back of his hand. During their fight in "MIRACLE MAKER (Part 1)", Owen played his Unique Emblem card, BT24-089 Unique Emblem: Blazing Conductor to play a BT21-008 Elizamon from his hand for free. His Unique Emblem was also projected when he activated said card's Delay effect in "MIRACLE MAKER (Part 2)".
The Unique Emblems protected the debuggers from E.G.G. converting players into data in "BE THE BELIEVERS (Part 2)". Owen later used his to evolve Elizamon into Medusamon. Then, in response to Shoto's newfound determination, his Unique Emblem shone from his D-Storage and released a massive light which took the form of an unknown Digimon. As the fight continued in "DIGIMON / LIBERATOR (Part 1)", the debugger team and their Partner Digimon kept using the Unique Emblems to protect themselves from "Security Conversion". However, there was a limit to how much the Unique Emblems could take, with at least one debugger being defeated. Arisa's Unique Emblem took heavy damage too, which caused Cendrillmon to devolve into Shoemon. Shoto then protected her from a Mulemon using his Unique Emblem.
Cool Boy used his Unique Emblem to protect himself from Ex Maquinamon's attack in "DIGIMON / LIBERATOR (Part 2)".
Owen started the Trinity Battle in "THE GOD (Part 1)" with his BT24-089 Unique Emblem: Blazing Conductor on the field, which he used to evolve his EX11-012 Medusamon into Styracomon. During their turn, Unchain revealed that the halo on their head was their Unique Emblem, Unique Emblem: Machina's Ascension, which they used to evolve their EX11-040 Mulemon into Mockingbirdmon for no cost.
Unchain checked Shoto's EX11-072 Unique Emblem: Guardian Vortex from his security stack in "THE GOD (Part 2)" which he used to play a Muchomon from his hand.
Shoto's Unique Emblem projected from his head like a halo, similar to Unchain's, in "TO THE NEW WORLD (Part 1)". Unchain believed it was due to the will of the world responding to Shoto. Shoto then activated Unique Emblem: Guardian Vortex's Delay effect to evolve EX11-032 Grand Galemon into Vortexdramon[N 1], who managed to defeat Unchain and end their Noah Project once and for all.

Digimon Liberator[edit]
Yuuki's Unique Emblem protected her data after being defeated by a rogue NPC prior to "Yuuki".
In "Forever. Always. Together.", Close explained she was the cornerstone of the Unique Emblems, the cornerstone of the debugging team's core system, as they only worked by passing through Close's black box thought circuits.
Ryutaro Williams used his Unique Emblem to evolve Tyranomon into Master Tyranomon to protect himself and his allies from Mistymon's attacks in "Attack". Saikiyo and Kazuki Suzune soon followed, evolving Funbeemon and Yukidarumon into Vespamon and Polar Bearmon, respectively. After being captured by the Guardians, Altea used his Unique Emblem to evolve Oblivimon into Invisimon so he could infiltrate their stronghold.
Kinosaki Mirai used her Unique Emblem to evolve Hanimon to its Level 6 form, Kaguyamon, in "Kinosaki Mirai".
Ryutaro used his Unique Emblem to evolve Tyranomon into Master Tyranomon and Dinomon to fight a Monochromon, an Ankylomon, a Triceramon and a Vermillimon in "Fiery Fist - Part 1".

Trivia[edit]
- All named Unique Emblems follow the same naming pattern: a kanji name (formed as a two-word phrase broken by a の) with furigana that gives it a forced English reading (two words long) that doesn't match the kanji.
- Kinosaki Arisa's Unique Emblem, Fable Waltz, shares its name with ST-19 and Episode 04 (Part 1 and Part 2) of Digimon Liberator. All of these are focused on Arisa.
- Kazama Shoto's Unique Emblem, Guardian Vortex, shares its name with ST-18, which is focused on Shoto.
