Cross Connectia

Cross Connectia is an MMORPG game in the world of Digimon Liberator, where a player and their Digimon partner explore a world inhabited by Digimon. It is an unreleased game, with LACUNA, as the world of the Digimon Liberator game, acting as a much larger-scale project in the same vein.

Overview

The world used to be split in two halves, with one side ruled by Dalphomon and another ruled by Metatromon. Both entities are considered "Gods" of the world with control of its systems. Apparently, Dalphomon had a bitter, seemingly one-way grudge over Metatromon for unknown reasons.

Some time prior to the Debug Team's visit, Metatromon's side was destroyed in a cataclysm. It tried to convince Dalphomon to escape alongside it, but to no avail. Dalphomon briefly clashed with it and it escaped towards LACUNA where it became Unchain's partner. As of the present day, only a single island governed by Dalphomon remained. The island has varied environments arranging from dense forests to deserts to snowy mountains. The Digimon there are able to live carefree lives as they are each inclined.

Cool Boy is said to have created the game, likely as part of I.D.E.A. The Guardians of the world serve and protect Dalphomon and are some of the many Digimon that inhabit Cross Connectia. was an inhabitant that clashed with Dalphomon before it moved to the Digimon Liberator game world.

Digimon Liberator

Unchain’s ultimate plan is to merge Cross Connectia and Digimon Liberator to create a new world where all Digimon are turned into environment-resilient Maquinamon, thereby making it so no Digimon will die as they currently do in LACUNA. To achieve this, Unchain sends Cool Boy away to Cross Connectia to find Dalphomon to fuse with his own Metatromon and create a god-like Digimon that can combine both worlds. Cool Boy was aware of Unchain's insanity and prepared a trojan hose program for Dalphomon so they can be stopped.

Novel

Digimon Liberator

Jesmon was the leader of the Guardians, but found itself in LACUNA after defending Dalphomon from Metatromon. Jesmon befriended Cool Boy, creator of the Cross Connectia game. Later, Yuuki and Impmon assure Jesmon that Digimon of all kinds would not be abandoned to die to the harsh environment of LACUNA, including inhabitants of Cross Connectia.

When Cool Boy is transported to Cross Connectia by Unchain, Cool Boy’s only way home is to use Dalphomon to open a portal back to the Digimon Liberator game world. The Debug Team members Yuuki, Saikiyo, Ryutaro Williams, Kazuki Suzune, Altea, Kinosaki Mirai, and their respective Partner Digimon travel to Cross Connectia to retrieve Cool Boy. They encounter inhabitants of Cross Connectia, including the Guardians. At around the same time, a number of NPCs from LACUNA invade Cross Connectia, terrorizing the Digimon inhabitants. The Debug Team members defeat these NPCs and befriend the inhabitants of Cross Connectia. The Debug Team reunite with Cool Boy, meeting Dalphomon in the process. Ultimately, Yuuki convinces Dalphomon to bring all the gathered Digimon, Debug Team members, Cool Boy, and Dalphomon itself through a portal to LACUNA to confront Unchain.
