It has a cautious and prudent personality because it was discovered in a defense system created in reference to the Scarab treasure chamber in the deepest part of a pyramid. During battle, it patiently serves as a shield for its comrades using its sturdy armor and endures the opponent's attacks, but if it reaches its critical point it will go on an intense offensive with all of its gunports until even the opponent's form is reduced to nothing. Because its heavy weight lowers its mobility, it is basically the one in charge of logistical support. However, in close-range battles it obliterates the opponent with its various armaments. Its Special Moves are collecting and then firing all of its energy from both of its arms (Ultimate Thunder), and firing an extremely high-speed positron laser from its head-turret (Field Destroyer). Unlike its final design, all of these designs featured a more humanoid build with legs instead of tank treads. The first concept was tentatively named Biribeemon (ビリビーモン). It was much smaller and lighter than Bolgmon, had wings, and wore yellow armor. Unlike all other known design concepts for the Digimon, its horn is just a horn, and does not appear to be a cannon. Two pieces of concept art (1, 2) appear to depict variations on the same design, with the most significant differences just being color (one gray, the other indigo) and the details of the head. These designs still have legs instead of tank treads, and Bolgmon's final arm guns are still missing in favor of clawed hands, but their builds are much bulkier and their torsos resemble Bolgmon's final torso. The indigo design redesigns the head to something close to the final product. The gray design was given the tentative name Metal Kabuterimon (メタルカブテリモン). (Bolgmon itself was later renamed "MetalKabuterimon" in English localizations.)
