More About CDKitchen

Started as a hobby website in 1995, CDKitchen has grown into one of the leading food sites on the web. CDKitchen, its founder Valerie Whitmore, and several of our staff cooking experts have been featured on a national cable television food channel (you know which one!), on local radio, in major metropolitan newspapers, and on various other platforms. Recipes from CDKitchen have been reprinted in cookbooks, magazines, and numerous newspapers.

CDKitchen is advertising supported and is always free to its users. No subscription fees, no products to peddle, no spam, period! We're a resource for seasoned foodies and for kitchen beginners alike. Many of our recipes have been submitted by registered members of the site over the years. While we tried to scan them for accuracy, they weren't always well written. We no longer accept recipe submissions from outside sources and are in the process of cleaning up the existing recipes by testing them and rewriting them for clarification, as needed. We are hoping this improves the quality of the recipes on the site and instills confidence in our home cooks when they choose to try our recipes.
