Using photos and images found on CDKitchen

CDKitchen does not give permission to use any photos, images, or graphics (either linked to the original or copied) found on this site outside of the following manner:

You may share a photo on various social media outlets or other websites providing that the photo or image is used as a link back to the original page it was found on (ie: linking to the recipe, etc) or as supporting content with a text link back to the page. Do not link directly to the image, you must link to the webpage on CDKitchen that the image is located on. You may not include the image along with the recipe in its entirety.

a) alter the photo in any way,
b) include the text (directions and cooking notes), headnote, user reviews, or meta tags of the associated recipe,
c) you may not portray the image as your own work, imply or infer a partnership with CDKitchen, Inc., or associate it with a different recipe from where it was originally used,
d) you may not display the image on any inappropriate websites or purely for the use of attempting to mislead visitors as to the content of your website,
d) you may not offer the image for sale, encourage downloads, or imply that the image is free to use in any way,
e) you may not use the image on any site that does not contain substantial editorial content such as a wallpaper download site, or a site developed purely to generate advertising revenue,
f) use the photo for commercial purposes. Examples include, but are not limited to, a catering website, a restaurant menu, or another recipe website.

User submitted recipe photos to CDKitchen are property of the submitter and CDKitchen. Some of our promotional photos are purchased stock photography from sources such as Dreamstime.com and iStockPhoto.com and licensed use cannot be transferred. If you use a photo that falls into this category you may be subject to copyright infringment by the owner of the photo or the company distributing them for failure to purchase a license.

Any unauthorized use of CDKitchen staff photos constitutes copyright infringement and will result in the infringer being invoiced for retroactive licensing fees (fees start at $5,000 US per use) plus administrative fees, plus any legal fees incurred in recovering the costs, and potentially statutory damages awarded by the courts.
