Warm and dry weather will make for a beautiful Easter Sunday across Alabama, with a breezy afternoon, increasing clouds by evening, and a stretch of unsettled days ahead as a stalled front brings waves of rain and storms into the workweek.
Not a Bad Easter Weekend; Active Weather Through the Work Week
Easter Weekend will be dry and warm across the state. However, we’ll have to keep the rain gear handy for the work week. And, as always, we’ll be watching the radar like a hawk. Here is what I got for today’s briefing.
Highs In The 80s Tomorrow/Sunday; Showers Return Monday
WARM SPRING DAY: Temperatures are in the low 80s across most of Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine. We note the average high for Birmingham on April 18 is 76. Tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 57-64 degree range.
Midday Nowcast: Very Warm and Dry through Easter Sunday
High pressure to our east and an upper ridge over the top of us means warm days ahead with afternoon highs around ten degrees above average for this time of year.
Warm, Dry Easter Weekend Ahead
SUMMER PREVIEW: An upper ridge across the Southeast U.S. will bring some of the warmest weather so far this year to Alabama and the Deep South through the Easter weekend with highs well into the 80s daily. A few spots will approach 90 degrees tomorrow, about 10 to 15 degrees above average for mid to late April.

WARMER DAYS AHEAD: We are forecasting a high in the low 80s for most Alabama communities today, followed by mid 80s tomorrow and over the weekend. No risk of any rain through Saturday with mostly sunny days and fair nights.
