Easter Brunch Update: Hazy Skies and Summerlike Warmth
Partly cloudy skies, warm temperatures, and a hazy, summery feel dominate this Easter Sunday, with changes on the way as rain chances return Monday.
Warm and dry weather will make for a beautiful Easter Sunday across Alabama, with a breezy afternoon, increasing clouds by evening, and a stretch of unsettled days ahead as a stalled front brings waves of rain and storms into the workweek.
WARM SPRING DAY: Temperatures are in the low 80s across most of Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine. We note the average high for Birmingham on April 18 is 76. Tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 57-64 degree range.
SUMMER PREVIEW: An upper ridge across the Southeast U.S. will bring some of the warmest weather so far this year to Alabama and the Deep South through the Easter weekend with highs well into the 80s daily. A few spots will approach 90 degrees tomorrow, about 10 to 15 degrees above average for mid to late April.
SUNNY APRIL AFTERNOON: Temperatures are close to the 80 degree mark at mid-afternoon across Alabama with a sunny sky. Tonight will be clear with a low in the 50s.
WARMER DAYS AHEAD: We are forecasting a high in the low 80s for most Alabama communities today, followed by mid 80s tomorrow and over the weekend. No risk of any rain through Saturday with mostly sunny days and fair nights.
SUNNY SPRING DAY: With sunshine in full supply, temperatures are in the 70s across Alabama this afternoon… very close to seasonal averages. Tonight will be clear with a low in the 47-54 degree range.
NICE WARM-UP: Some of the colder spots over North Alabama have dipped into the 30s early this morning, but most places are in the 40s at daybreak. Look for a high in the 70s today with sunshine in full supply.
COOLER SPRING DAY: Temperatures are mostly in the low to mid 70s across Alabama this afternoon with a sunny sky. Tonight will be clear and cool with a low in the 40s.
