I really liked the original TV show, so this is exciting. It will probably take a while to make it to the US. Perhaps our UK group members will let us know if it's any good?

Tracey | 1 comments I haven't seen the TV version. I'm a bit afraid to watch it. Don't want to ruin my own impressions! Does everyone feel the TV show was true to the characters in the books?

Sharon | 25 comments John Hannah played Rebus in the beginning and having read REBUS since the start (thirty year now!) I could not get into him as the character even though as an actor I really like him. Ken Stott though just inhabited the character of Rebus and right down to the accent so much so that I see and hear him while reading any new books the last years. Hoping when they make yet another series (which they say will be longer) that they keep Stott and other characters as I liked them...curious who will play Fox!

Has been fun watching the 30 year celebrations through the press and wish I could get the special Scotch! Always been my favourite series right to having walked the walk and been to the Ox! But then I like all Rankin's books and articles.....
