Could I possibly switch my book? I don't think that abridgment is any good and I don't think anyone would actually read the 1500 page version. Especially since it's hard to get.

My second favorite book that I read this summer was Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake.

Wow! At least three of these sound interesting to me, and the other two are probably interesting and I just don't know enough about them. But it's now an excuse to read Dracula.

ETA: Not gonna lie, I had a few heart attacks when I initially saw this task because I was spazzing out and thinking "no way I can finish all five of those! I've never even heard of four of them!"

Then I realized I was being dumb and I got to pick.

I just got back from our NEW local bookstore with The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet. Excited for this one.

I don't find any of these really appealing. I have already read Dracula and wasn't that crazy about it. I think I will go with Nine Parts of Desire.

I read Nine Parts of Desire: The Hidden World of Islamic Women several years ago and found it to be a thought-provoking book. It was a peek into a vastly different culture for me.

Okay, the kids in the reading class I am in at school are reading Dracula. Could I use that book as my group read since we are doing the book as a group?
