Born and raised in Romania, now an American citizen, visual artist and writer based in the U.S.A, D.C. Thomas endeavored to find her own voice as a bilingual poetess.

She aims to publish more stories and poems she’s been writing since her childhood spent in Bucharest and in its vicinity.

The “Her Suns and Their Daughters: Daughters Of The Universe Seen" (DOTUS) anthology, a collection of thoughts on life and dreams, is the debut poetry volume of the artist. This work is a small unit out of a myriad of literary aspirations D.C. has been containing in a small universe of bonded notebooks.

D.C. lives in Tennessee with her husband and their two Golden Retrievers.

“I want to live in this field with you.
Loving you,
Wanting you,
Having you,
Becoming you,
Leaving you.”
D.C. Thomas, Her Suns And Their Daughters: Daughters Of The Universe Seen

“Lonely girls don't ask for attention,
They're quiet with their intentions,
They walk through halls of mirrors
With no reflection.”
D.C. Thomas, Her Suns And Their Daughters: Daughters Of The Universe Seen

“Let me adore
The whole being of you.”
D.C. Thomas, Her Suns And Their Daughters: Daughters Of The Universe Seen

“A painting requires a little mystery, some vagueness, and some fantasy. When you always make your meaning perfectly plain you end up boring people”
Edgar Degas

“When the mind is allowed to relax, inspiration often follows.”
Phil Jackson, Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success

“But trying to eliminate anger never works. The more you try to suppress it, the more likely it is to erupt later in a more virulent form. A better approach is to become as intimate as possible with how anger works on your mind and body so that you can transform its underlying energy into something productive.”
Phil Jackson

“Fall down seven times. Stand up eight. JAPANESE PROVERB”
Phil Jackson, Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success

“In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities; in the expert’s mind there are few.”
Phil Jackson, Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success
