This one is the prequel to Xander and Melissa's story which continues in the next book and after reading this one, you bet I had to go and buy the follow-up book.
Young love is often so naive and yet open too to feelings of the heart and Xander and Melissa might have started off as lust on high but soon they can't control the growing affection between them.
But both of them belong to rival families and who will never let them be together.
There's lots of spiciness going on in this book as Xander and Melissa are unable to keep their hands off each other.
Especially when this is a first of a kinda experience for Melissa.
When an expected surprise pops up, Melissa will have to decide and choose. But how can she decide when all options lead to heartbreak.
Also, as Xander is about to rise ranks in his family, whom will he choose?!

i have some questions….
I enjoyed the overall story, the plot, but there are story details which are confusing.
Beginning doesnt make any sense. The hero is best friends with heroines brother, so much so that the guards are used to seeing hero around the house…
BUT their families are rivals?!? Not just rivals, but enemies. How does that work?
Hero is so comfortable being at heroines house, so welcome the guards dont approach, dont kick him out….But the heroine doesn’t know him?
Then, when they have their first smexy time, hero is practically mauling heroine on her front steps before hero carts her off to her bedroom. Ummmm, where are the guards when this is going on?
Or, what about their second time? In the HALLWAY….during a FAMILY DINNER!!!
No one can hear her crying out? No guards or servants around?
This has to the worst guarded family in the mafia, where an enemy mafia’s son can waltz onto the property, gain access to the house whenever he wants, go into the bedroom of a mafia princess, fuck her in a wide open hallway and no one is ever around. Ok👌🏽
The overall all plot was good: mafia prince falls for princess. He knocks her up.

This book is the beginning of the their romance. Melissa is a mafia princess who is going to Stanford university. She’s home and when she meets her brother best friend? who is the son and heir of a rival family (not sure how that works). Theirs is instant attraction and some spice as soon as they meet.
Their few hookups are weird. Appearing in each other’s family houses. Where the hell is security. But anyway.
And then she falls pregnant and is sent away. It ends abruptly and I hope we get something more in their book.
There is no choice for her and their fathers are the ones “supporting” her by sending her away without revealing anything to Xander. We are told he needs to concentrate on taking over as Don and that she would be his weakness. I don’t like it!!!

Dark and Delicious Prequel - This is an enjoyable quick read, it's the prequel to Xander and Melissa's story which continues in the next book, and is a wild rollercoaster ride from beginning to end!
If you're into dark and dangerous love stories, mafia or brother's best friend stories then this tells how Xander and Melissa fell in love despite his being her brother's best friend and their fathers being enemies.
Because they belong to rival families they know their families will never let them be together, even so they are unable to keep their hands off each other.
I loved the spiciness of this book the chemistry between Xander and Melissa is undeniable and their feelings run deep.
But when Melissa discovers she's pregnant they both know that they have some tough decisions to make. I for one can’t wait to see what happens to them in the next book.

Okay, so Claimed by the Mafia Prince is a wild ride from start to finish! 🎢 If you're into dark and dangerous love stories with a mafia angle, this novella is totally for you. The chemistry between Xander, the Mafia prince, and Mel is scorching hot and immediate—instalove at its finest. 🔥 There are intense, forbidden love vibes since he’s her brother’s best friend and their dads are archenemies. The twists in this story hit me like a wrecking ball, even more so than the bombshell pregnancy reveal. 😱 Insta-love, age gap, and can't-get-enough fans of good cliffhangers will love this. A Worthwhile Reunion -
I read Mafia Heir's Secret Baby a few months ago, but reading the real beginning of Mel and Xander love journey was a really interesting reading experience. The chemistry between them was volcanic level hot, but the family politics made it difficult for them to find happiness together. However, fate had plans in store for them, which gave them an opportunity to have the life they wanted. The drama, raw emotions and nerve wracking tension, kept me glued to the pages and made it difficult for me to take a break until I finished reading the book. This is a definite must read book.

Claimed By The Mafia Prince is Book 1 of Ruthless Mafia Kings, I throughly enjoyed reading this book. I can’t wait to read Mafia Heir’s Secret Baby which is the continuation of this book. I thought Claimed By The Mafia Prince to be both suspenseful and a page-turner. I could hardly set my kindle down before finishing the book. I found it to be both enjoyable and entertaining at the same time. I absolutely love Melissa and Xander, I found them both to be quite interesting. I’m not going to give out any details about this book because I don’t want to spoil it for other readers. However, I would highly recommend this book to others. One amazing mafia romance!!!!.

A prequel to the book Mafia Heirs Secret Baby, this sets up the story of Mel and Xander, the division of the families and the pull of something forbidden.
It got a little OTT, especially when Mel found she was pregnant - was she seriously that naive? I did feel the hopelessness of Xander as he steps into his role and that's what kept me reading - I was invested.
The ending didn't have the drama I was expecting, I wished there had been something around Mel's isolation and the birth of her son, but I assume keeping the page count down just to lead onto the next book.
You couldn't read this as a standalone and you certainly couldn't read the next book without this - it would feel like you are missing the back story.....

It’s a little unusual to read the prequel for a book months after its release, but it provides a lot of background information prior to the situation in Mafia Heir’s Secret Baby. Vivy Skys gives her readers what would have been a great prelude for the book. She helps us experience the circumstances that resulted in Melissa’s pregnancy and why she felt the need to escape from the Mafia lifestyle and leave Xander behind with her broken heart.
I feel like it should have been published before the Mafia Heir’s Secret Baby, but at least new readers can enjoy this prequel before reading it.

OMG this story was spicy and hot of forbidden romance between Xander and Melissa's and it was mind blowing. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. When you dive into their story of passion and the temptation of the rollercoaster ride of deliciou and darkness of pleasure. They never knew that they will fall into the urge of the sexual tension that will lead them to into a one night stand and unexpected baby stomach that will be showing very soon. It was crazy and complicated.

This is the first time I am reading this author and I really enjoyed the authors . It was a well written and quick read. The characters were engaging . This is Zander and Melissa's story . Zander is the soon to be Pakhan of the Amory Family . They fall in love and she gets pregnants and leaves without telling him. This is a prequel and ends on a cliff hanger . I believe the book that follows the journey for these two as already been published prior to the prequel being published. Since this is the first time I am reading this author and haven't read any other books . I would be reading them. So glad to have found a hidden gem. I would definitely be reading more books by this author.

Wow for fans who like dark mafia stories then this is definitely recommended. This is the beginning of the Mafia Heir's Secret Baby. We find out how Xander and Melissa's story started. A glimpse of the veil is lifted and we get the reason why she left Xander overnight and also without telling him that she was pregnant by him. What will he think and say when he finds out and the reason why? Highly recommended to read.

The way she talked about her first kiss was just too funny and at the same time very sad. He knew he should stay away from her but they had a chemistry that couldn't be denied. She knew the life that both of them were meant to lead and even though she knew she shouldn't she wanted to spend it with him. It is understandable why the fathers wanted what they wanted but it is still sad. I look forward to reading the next book to see what the future brings them all.

This is a quick read. Xander and Melissa are attracted to each other even though their families are enemies and her brother is his best friend. Forbidden fruit only draws them closer and then she is pregnant and sent away. Vivy is a wonderful author and does not disappoint. If you like Mafia romance you will love this book. I personally enjoy all of Vivy's books. This is a quick introduction to Mafia Heir's Secret Baby. Enjoy your reading journey.

A good beginning
This is the prequel describing how the h and H met. She is the daughter of his father’s rival. Both come from Mafia families. He is to become the don. They fall in love but can’t be together because he needs to focus on leading the family. She becomes pregnant and both families decides that she needs to leave without telling him about the baby. Not a bad read
This is the first book I have read by this author.
It was a quick read with the story flowing well .
I didn't understand though why the enemy was having dinner with the Sedrics if they hated each other so much and why Daniel was best friends with Xander. To me that didn't sit well and I found that part of the story unbelievable.
I will read book two just to see what happens next.

This shows the way that the Mafia works when two families are fighting especially when the daughter of one family and the heir to the other fall for each other but have to keep it a secret until it isn't.

This is a prequel to TheMafias Heirs Secret baby. I liked this book a lot. I wish I had read it before the secret baby book. So,I reread it afterwards and it was better than the first time. I liked seeing Mel and Zander when they were younger. It flowed really well into the next book. I love Vivy Skys books.

This was when the book 1st started Xander wanted Melissa. Their fathers are not friends.. she finds out she’s pregnant and her father doesn’t want him to know.So leaves not knowing when he will ever learned about his child. Xander father knows and wants her to leave. The family will support her and the child.

This is the prequel that started it all. They were so young when they fell in love. Melissa and Xander thought nothing could separate them. Family duties destroyed them. Loved this story and how it filled the missing gap before Mafia Heir’s Secret Baby.

This is the prologue to Mafia Heir's Secret Baby by Vivy Skys. In this book we get the background behind why Melissa leaves Xander without telling him that she is pregnant with his child. She has her reasons but will Xander ever truly forgive her? I recommend this book to all dark mafia romance readers.
