Commanded

Rate this book
A dedicated cop, Sawyer Quinn blows off steam by immersing himself in his role as a Master at the hottest club in Las Vegas. But when Sawyer goes after the perp who brutally beat his sister, he teams up with Chloe Nash, a sexy private investigator who awakens a sweet new need: to keep her to himself, away from the dungeon of Club Sin. Chloe is beautiful, smart, and too innocent for the BDSM lifestyle. Sawyer’s never wanted a woman like this before. Is her love worth swearing off the one thing that keeps him sane?

There’s something different about Sawyer: a commanding strength that pulls Chloe into a vortex of heady desire. But when she learns about his double life as a Dom, she’s shocked—and afraid she could never complete him. Then he saves her life, and just like that, Chloe knows she will be able to give him anything he desires. She is his—wherever and however he wants to take her.

4 **hunting criminals the sexy way** STARS

This is going to be short and sweet, but after spending the last four days binge reading Stacey Kennedy's Club Sin Series I just have to say a few words.

Of all six books, Commanded was my very favourite. Insanely cute. The banter between Chloe and Sawyer had me squee-ing like a little girl and the sex was truly panty melting. But here is the funny thing, for a series about BDSM this instalment was the lightest on the kink side, but the most entertaining and engaging when it comes to plot and action.

Sawyer Quinn is a cop, working for Las Vegas SWAT, but all his training can't help him when he is forced to hunt down the piece of sh*t who beat up his baby sister. So he asks his good friend, fellow Club Sin Master and PI Porter to lend him one of his employees, Chloe Nash. She happens to be rather good at finding people and bending the law to get things done.

Now Chloe is as vanilla as a girl could be. But she is also very much attracted to Sawyer and has no clue whatsoever that the hot cop is also a Dom. Oh, and Sawyer really had no ulterior motives when he requested her to help him. No really. None at all. *cough* sarcasm *cough*

So, they spend a few days working together. What could possibly go wrong?

**Just one little note to their relationship without giving too much away. I absolutely loved how Ms. Kennedy managed to bring two people together, who couldn't be more different in their sexual experience and likes, without making either of them change to fit the other. Kudos to that!

All in all, I can say if you like to read some glitter BDSM with some hot alphas and feisty subs this series doesn't disappoint. My ratings for all the books range from 3 to 4 stars (and yes, 3 stars are not bad at all).

Every book tells the story of a new couple, but brings back the old characters. Some more than others, but technically every book can be read as a standalone. I'm anal about reading serials in order and I like to have the whole family and friends aspect work for me...so, I would probably recommend starting from the beginning. But if you want to just get a taste, Commanded is by far the most standalone-ish one in the series.

I had a good time just getting lost in this series and I'm looking forward to read some more about the Club Sin Doms in the future. ;)

3.5 stars!

The Good

-The sexy times are hot. Very hot.
-Sawyer. He's hot, loyal, possessive without being annoyingly so and very much into Chloe.
-Chloe. I liked her very much as well. She has her own career and is good at it. She could have easily kowtowed to Sawyer's whims and desires but she didn't.

The Not So Good

- The resolution between Sawyer's desire for BDSM and Chloe's resistance to it was too neatly resolved and too convenient.
- The suspense storyline with Sawyer sister didn't quite fit into the book. It doesn't mean I didn't like it but it didn't fit in the book for me. Maybe because I actually wanted Sawyer and Chloe to explore the BDSM lifestyle together. Plus, there were a lot of plot holes with that particular plot.
- There were a few too cheesy and smarmy lines between Sawyer and the Masters that just turned me off.

Conclusion

Other than those issues listed above, I still enjoyed this book. It was a short and fun read for the most part. I liked the characters but the plot wasn't as tight as I'd like it to be, in my opinion.

Commanded
, I'll be 100% honest, I went into a bit cautiously. Why? Because, quite frankly, the Erotica genre as a whole has disappointed me more than pleased me lately. Often times with erotica, I feel like we get zero character development, hardly any depth to the storyline, and just an absolute sh*t-ton of sex sex sex. I'm over it! But alas, Stacey Kennedy saved me for erotica in Commanded! It was freaking awesome! Ladies and gents, we get story! We get character development! We get depth! And I ate it up!

Let me premise my review with one thing- you do NOT have to read every book in the Club Sin Series to read this book. It can be read as a standalone, in fact, I've only read book one thus far (not sure why) and I was totally fine. Each book is a different couple but we do see cameos of past couples. On to my review...

Sawyer is a Las Vegas SWAT member and Dominant at Club Sin. He's never taken on a submissive of his own, preferring to instead mentor newer Doms or taking a submissive for a night here and there. He's just never connected to a woman until he meets Chloe...who just so happens to be as vanillaas they come.

Chloe is a private investigator and Sawyer hires her to find the ex-boyfriend of his sister who beat her within an inch of her life. They team up together to find this Tyler yet, all the while, fighting their attraction to each other. Chloe literally JUST broke up with her long term and only lover and does not find jumping into the sack so quickly a smart move. But her body says something else...

 photo 0FAC6921-EEBC-47E4-9D19-A46DA22D47F9_zpskhzbcuds.gif

Sawyer is painfully aware of Chloe's innocence, and surprisingly, it's what attracts him most to her. But he needs to be honest and open with her about the man he is too...a man who loves kink. This will work or it won't- for that he's sure.

This is the aspect of the book I knew would make or break my rating. Nothing I HATE more than a vanilla, inexperienced girl suddenly embracing her inner goddess and becoming this experienced submissive in all things BDSM. The author chose to go realistic here and I hail her! Chloe is what she is. Sawyer is what HE is. How can they meet in the middle when it's clear that his sex club lifestyle is NOT for her? The author gave me the resolution I feel is most realistic to real life and I really really loved it! I'm not giving it away but let's just say she pulled it off perfectly!

Sawyer was the perfect Dominant personality. Oftentimes authors try to tell us how Dom a man is without just SHOWING us. With Sawyer, we saw it all. He's strong, uber protective of his sister (and Chloe), sweet, and understanding that Chloe is not experienced in all (or any) things kinky. He recognizes her submissive ways yet respects her boundaries. And let's just say, when they come together, the scenes were developed perfectly hawt! Wow, even I blushed. It was such a perfect build up, I felt he was seducing me thru the pages! Why I haven't read each and every book in this series, I am not sure.

 photo 06918BF5-BB36-483F-BD99-6007CDB944BA_zpse2shbt5o.gif

I'd call this series BDSM-lite. In fact, this particular book is more of a romance than BDSM and there's virtually no club scenes in it but don't worry...the bedroom scenes fill that hole perfectly (pun NOT intended).

So, if you're looking for a steamy steamy romantic novel with a bit of suspense and two characters that are realistically perfectly suited for each other, this book is a must read! And I MUST go backwards and read the past books within the series as I simply forgot how fantastic Stacey Kennedy's writing style is for me.

Thank you, Stacey Kennedy, for saving the BDSM/Erotica genre for me.

In the sixth installment of Club Sin by Stacey Kennedy we get the story of Sawyer Quinn and Chloe Nash. Remember Chloe from Tamed (Porter’s story)? She was the young and innocent PI that caught Sawyer’s attention in the brief encounter they shared – but it wasn’t just Sawyer that was affected. Chloe felt instant sparks – but Chloe had some hard choices to make before taking the leap to give into Sawyer’s demands.

When a brutal attack against his sister has Sawyer seeking the help of Porter’s PI Firm, it’s clear that he wants more from Chloe than just working the case. But there are things about Sawyer that might be too much for someone as innocent as her but Sawyer is finding the thing he might just love the most about her is that innocence, something that his lifestyle could taint. A merging of two hearts with worlds that just don’t mesh.

I have eaten up every single one of the books in this series. I love that we get this dose of BDSM that is kept a little light and although the heroes are all alpha and dominant, nothing ever felt like it was too much. Now there are readers who love the punishing D/s reads and then there are others that found this genre of erotica through books like Fifty, where sure the spankings were hot – but full on BDSM might just be a little too hard core.

I loved that Sawyer and Chloe’s story changed up the status quo a bit from the prior books in this series. It could have had a very simple ending that left us with yet another club member, but that just didn’t fit Chloe’s character and love that Stacey stayed true to the girl she wrote.

If you need a great BDSM themed series that is all about the feels then you need to pick up Club Sin.

The deciding factor, when I purchased this ebook, was the negative review of another reader. All the reasons she hated this read were all the reasons I thought I would like it. This involves BDSM and is not typically a book I would seek out. These types of reads tend to have a lot of my triggers but this negative review made me take a chance on this read and see if the author would be able to pull it off.

Full disclosure, I haven’t (nor will I) read any of the other books in this series. It is about a group of Masters (Doms) that live and breathe the BDSM lifestyle and manage an exclusive sex club called Club Sin. Normally this is a pass for me. I’ve tried this trope before and it never really worked for me. I don’t do sharing, voyeurism (performing in front of others) is out and the whole leashed and naked kneeling thing is a big fat no.

But the main reason this trope tends to flop is that I never like how the initiation or conversion of someone not in that lifestyle is handled. It always seemed to me like the H/h was trying to change the other person. There is this underlying tone that suggests the H/h isn't good enough unless he/she changes. Sometimes there are even ultimatums and for me, a love story should have acceptance and respect, at all times, not molding someone into something different just to get the other’s rocks off. I always finished the story thinking the relationships were too one sided. Not to say all the stories are like that, but I came across very few who were actually able to convince me both parties were into it without being “trained” beforehand.

Commanded has a Hero who kind of broke the mold for me and although this author won’t be an auto buy for me, I’m glad I took a chance on this read. The story follows Sawyer and Chloe. Brought together when Sawyer hires Chloe, a PI, to find his sister’s attacker. Sawyer is part of the lifestyle and Chloe is not. They both are instantly attracted to each other and with both inside and outside forces trying to keep them apart, they have to navigate their differences for a chance to build something together.

What I loved:
I loved that Chloe wasn’t a malleable heroine. She knew who she was and wasn’t looking to change her self.
I can’t be this woman. Not for Sawyer. Not for anyone.

I loved that both MCs clicked immediately. There was no wishy-washy behavior or one trying to convince the other. It was natural on both sides.

With Chloe, the Dom and sub relationship was natural. Letting him take control wasn’t something learned or taught; she held an innate instinct to be aroused when he dominated her. He didn’t’ want to f*ck with the purity of that.

I loved that Sawyer was so possessive/protective of Chloe. His feelings for her change his outlook rather than vise versa.

He shamelessly wanted her all to himself. Only for his eyes. Only for his touch. Only for his enjoyment and pleasure.

This, between them, was something different. Something better. Something special.

And what sealed the deal with this hero and made me really love this read was the way he always put his heroine above everything else. He isn't selfish or domineering. Instead he's sensitive to his heroines needs and gives her 100% of his understanding, support and love.

"Chloe is perfect just the way she is. What will happen if I change that? What will happen if I bring her into an erotic world she wasn't a part of before? Will she be better because of it? Or will it just make her different? More of what I want, but not truly who she is?"

I loved that Sawyer doesn’t miss or question his decision to leave Club Sin behind. He doesn’t leave his kink behind, he just realizes that he doesn’t need the club anymore. Neither character had to change who they were to be together. Sawyer learns he’s more happy with Chloe than anything he could have at the cluba Master. Chloe learns she likes Sawyer’s brand of spice in their sex life and again, she doesn’t have to immerse herself in the lifestyle to be happy.

For the record, this was still a super steamy read made better because the MCs are both emotional and physically supportive of each other. Their's was a true give and take relationship.

Would I recommend? If you like your kink without all the unsafe club scenes this one is a good one. Considering the subject matter, this was surprisingly safe.

4 "Hard Choices" Stars! Being a long time lover of the Club Sin Series, I eagerly await each new installment. Once again Stacey Kennedy delivers another fresh story within the old familiar Club Sin network of friends, providing for an erotic and entertaining read. Commanded tells Club Sin's Master Sawyer's story and tackles the challenges that a Dom may be required to face should his heart settle upon a vanilla sub, particularly one who is also unaware of her proclivities and who may be unwilling to totally submit to the Club Sin lifestyle. Further enhancing the romance is a mild action/suspense overlay surrounding the apprehension of the man who brutally attacked Sawyer's sister, which forms the basis for this unlikely duo spending time together to realize their connection.

While the Club Sin Series can be read on a stand-alone basis, given each focuses on the love story of a different couple, the characters from prior stories do continue to make an appearance in subsequent books. Thus if you plan to read the entire series, and I highly recommend you do, then they are best enjoyed in order. In this case, both Sawyer Quinn, the hero and a Club Sin Master, and Chloe Nash, the heroine and co-worker of Porter Marshall (the Club Sin hero of Book 5), have previously been introduced in prior books.

Following the brutal attack of his sister, Sawyer seeks the aid of Porter's investigation firm to track down the culprit. Eager to explore the attraction he feels for Chloe, and hoping that her involvement will help his sister feel more comfortable to honestly discuss the attack with a woman, Sawyer specifically requests that the case be handled by Chloe.

Chloe meanwhile is equally receptive to the undeniable chemistry that ties her to Sawyer. Chloe, however, is clearly to innocent to ever fit in in the Club Sin lifestyle. Nonetheless, she sparks feelings in Sawyer that may very well be even more powerful. He has no doubt that she is a submissive of heart, but will she ever be able to set aside her inhibitions enough to partake in the public displays that are part of Club Sin? Should it come down to it, which is more important to Sawyer: his role as a Club Sin Master or Chloe? Moreover, even if Sawyer could make such a decision, would Chloe be willing to trust her heart to a man who clearly is used to such a very different lifestyle?

While Commanded is definitely on the tamer side of the BDSM spectrum, Ms. Kennedy still manages to infuse her signature erotic overlay to the developing romance between Chloe and Sawyer. Enhancing this salacious overlay is the fast-paced, action and suspense plot which adds a layer of depth to the fragile and desperate nature of this couple's desire and needs. Both aspects work well together delivering another satisfying Club Sin love story.

All in all, Commanded is another hit for the Club Sin series, and I can't wait to read more of this fantastic series. Next up in October is Mine, a novella length story that continues Presley's and Dimitri's story, the couple that started the Club Sin Series.

Sawyer and Chloe are brought together to help Sawyer’s sister, who has been attacked by her boyfriend. As they work alongside each other, Chloe struggles to decide if she should give in to her feelings, considering she just broke up with her long term boyfriend. But I think we all know where this is going, right? Yep, straight to romance.

description
- It’s a mild BDSM series : This is a BDSM lite, so it’s more about control, domination and submission than all the hardcore bits. I like to mix it up, so I enjoyed this walk on the mild side. I’ve only read two of the books so far, and this is my favorite. And that’s all about Sawyer and Chloe.

- Sawyer can tie me up anytime : Let’s face it, when it comes to romances, I want the hero to really melt my butter. Sawyer does a very good job. He’s alpha, possessive and protective without crossing the line into alpha-hole territory. I have to say, I’m used to BDSM books where public sex is simply part and parcel of the lifestyle, and I liked Sawyer’s attitude and unwillingness to share. I would say that, more than anything, tipped this from a three star to a four star read for me. His ultimate decision regarding Chloe and his lifestyle choices was a bit surprising and not what I would have expected from a Dom, but I think it fits this couple, and will work long term in opening up the canvas for this series.

- Chloe’s very likeable and practical : Best yet, I really didn’t connect as well with the previous heroine, but here I definitely enjoyed Chloe. She’s pragmatic and levelheaded, yet not judgmental when it comes to the lifestyle and that made this a much more enjoyable read.

- Standalone, mostly : Now, I would have liked to see their first meeting integrated into this book to really give a foundation for their attraction, but having read the previous book, it didn’t bother me so much. That said, most of the friendships are explained well enough that it’s easy to follow along so I think you can read and enjoy this without reading the entire series.

- Good, slightly (kinky) sexy times : Like I’ve said, it’s mild, but there’s good chemistry between Sawyer and Chloe and her intro to kinky sex was done well. I would have liked to have seen more about their connection and further introduction to the lifestyle for Chloe and I think it got a bit shortchanged because of the need to at least wrap up the reason for their working together in the first place. Which leads me to…

- The suspense part, well… : It could have been a bit tighter. It really felt more like a plot contrivance, rather than integral to the story. It has as much to do with the majority of the story as it does in my little synopsis. The timeline’s condensed, so I get the need to put these two together quickly, I just thought that part could have been a bit more convincing. Ultimately, I think the story could have been stronger if these two could have explored each other more than being tied to a suspense plot that didn’t quite gel with the rest of the tale.

****Full Review****

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Chloe has felt like something was missing in her life for the last couple months and it seems to stem from her relationship with her high school sweetheart. After years of dating, they both decide that their relationship has become stale because they are first and foremost just friends. After Chloe's boss introduces her to his friend Sawyer, she learns what sexual chemistry is really all about. Sawyer is instantly drawn to Chloe but knows she isn't into the BDSM lifestyle him and all his friends are and is nervous of scaring her away. These two want each other but will changes be too much for either?

Commanded is book six in the Club Sin series and all your favorite couples make appearances with little updates on how everyone is doing. This story holds up on its own as this is fully Chloe and Sawyer's story and somewhat different from the rest. There was an interesting take on why and how Sawyer got into the BDSM club life, when he was honorably discharged out of the military he missed the camaraderie, giving orders, and being looked up to. With his natural dominant personality, he transitioned what he was missing from his past military life into becoming involved in a BDSM club and finding fulfillment there. Showing all the rhymes and reasons individuals get involved with this lifestyle is what makes this series so good and keeps things feeling fresh.

Chloe was a good character in that she felt completely normal, from her fear to not being what Sawyer needed, to her strength to not compromise who she was. Sawyer was the calm, cool, and level headed Dominant that oozes sexual confidence. Our couple meets in the previous book so when they reconnect here, it doesn't take long before they decide they should be together because both have wanted it for some time. I really enjoyed how nothing was forced in their relationship and how Sawyer introduced Chloe to not the club lifestyle but to what he individually needed from her. These two talk and while there may be a few hiccups in the beginning, they have a pretty smooth joining; I found myself missing a little bit of the angst and drama.

There is a side action story that involves Sawyer's sister, her spiraling down MMA boyfriend, and then a Chloe kidnap scene that allowed for Sawyer to show off his badass SWAT sniper side but seemed a little forced. It gave me the drama I was missing but the resolution was wrapped up very quickly. There are also no club scenes between this couple, remember how I mentioned this was a bit different from the rest of the series? This story really is all about Sawyer and Chloe growing individually and what that means for their growth together. The resolution to Sawyer and Chloe's relationship and what their BDSM relationship looks like for them felt natural and real.

If needing a break from drama and angst then Commanded would be a great choice with its sexy scenes and level headed characters.

" Commanded" part of the club sin series is a light BDSM romance that is a quick read. I have read a few of the books in this series now and have not been dissapointed
The series focuses on the dungeon masters from exclusive BDSM club " Club Sin" .
Sawyer Quinn, dungeon master , rope play his specialty and Swat team sniper is called away from his play at Club Sin , by horrific family news , his little sister Ashlyn has been beaten to a pulp and her boyfriend is the main suspect; however the boyfriend is in the wind and the police leads are running cold. Sawyer being a Dom and a police officer is outraged and feeling like he let his little sister down, the Dom part of him expected her to be treasured and cared for and he feels like he should of been their to protect her.
Sawyer's frustration leads him to fellow Dom and dungeon master, Porter and his private investigation business and one of Porters' employees Chloe Nash .
Chloe is young , beautiful , smart , great at her job and obviously attracted to Sawyer and the feeling is mutual, but the last time he saw Chloe she was involved with a long term boyfriend , but not. anymore .
Th minute Sawyer sees how Chloe is with his sister Ashlyn and how she interact with his parents , he knows he has made the right choice in pushing Porter away from the case and asking for Chloe .
Running down leads together takes time but when they hit he time when all they can do is wait , Sawyer presses Chloe , but even though. She is no longer with her ex Josh it has only been a day since they broke it off how can she consider Jumping into bed with someone else. Sawyer is her kryptonite though when it comes to resistance , but Sawyer being a Dom may be a deal breaker. Can Chloe handle Sawyer as a Dom and the lifestyle, will Sawyer change for her? Will they find Ashlyn, dirt bag boyfriend ?
Pick up " Commanded " and enjoy!

Well...sometimes waking up early and losing sleep is a good thing.

Another great Club Sin book. We've met Sawyer and Chloe before and saw some sparks then, but now we get to see fireworks. Chloe was so sweetly innocent in all things BDSM, even more so than Ella was in Desired. Sawyer was seriously sexy and so sweet, not only with his sister but also with Chloe.

This latest entry in the Club Sin series (can be read as a standalone) is the story of Sawyer and Chloe. Sawyer is a cop and in his spare time a Dominant at Club Sin. But lately, he's been kind of bored with the scene, and finding himself not giving it his full attention. The reason? His attraction to Chloe, a private investigator who works with his friend Porter (also a Master at Club Sin). Teaming up with Chloe to find the man who brutally attacked his sister is the first step to getting her into his bed. But she's innocent of his late night doings and he's hesitant to bring her fully into his world. Will he choose the safety and security of his sex club life or dive into something new and refreshing with Chloe?

I really enjoyed this story! Sawyer is yummy all around - handsome, strong, and confident whether it's in his job as a police officer or a Master at Club Sin. His attraction to Chloe is easy to understand. Unlike the submissives he's used to who might feign innocence as part of their play acting, Chloe really is innocent. She's not a virgin, but she's never experienced anything like the sexual dynamo that is Sawyer and he can't help but want to keep that to himself. They have an instant sexual chemistry and Sawyer isn't above using her attraction to him to further their relationship. At the same time, he can't picture her at Club Sin, and he doesn't want to. He wants to open her eyes to the possibilities of what could be in their relationship all by himself. This isn't the first story in the series to keep the majority of the action away from the club (Freed also centered on a relationship outside of Club Sin) and I thought it was interesting to take the dynamics of a D/s relationship and set them free of the expectations one would find at the club. Chloe is an equally intriguing character - she's friendly and strong willed and a woman in control. But she's never had a man like Sawyer pay attention to her and she finds that letting him take charge is quite liberating for her - with the clear understanding between them that it's in the bedroom only. And Sawyer finds that he likes that she's not under his thumb 24/7. He likes her spark, her feistiness and doesn't want that to change. When Chloe experiences her first visit to a sex club, and realizes that she doesn't want to do what she sees there, I really liked that Sawyer didn't try to change her mind and convince her otherwise. He too sees that their relationship is more valuable than trying to make someone into something that they aren't.

We get to see some of the other characters in the Club Sin world, Sawyer's friends who have made up a big part of who he is today. I enjoyed their interactions as well, and their friendship with Sawyer, trusting that he is making the right decision for himself in going all-in with Chloe.

It wouldn't be a Club Sin book without lots of steamy sex so we get that in abundance. It was fun to see Sawyer open Chloe's eyes to how letting him take charge could make things that much better for her. But even without the sex, their relationship is fun and invigorating. There are some great action scenes in the hunt to find Sawyer's sister's attacker and that added a good punch to the story. It was a very enjoyable read. 4.5 stars.

'The heat of his body overwhelmed her, pulsating against her, threatening to take over her thoughts. "You, sweetheart," he growled, stepping toward her, "need to shut off that busy mind of yours." She backed away until she hit the wall by the door.
"Oh, Jesus," she breathed.
Eyes blazing hot and centered on her, he slid one knee in between her thighs. With pure confidence, he reached for her wrists and, with ease, pinned them above her head. Not giving her a chance to catch up, he sealed his mouth over hers.
That's when the talking ended and the heavy hard kissing began.'

COMMANDED was a nice change in the CLUB SIN series. Sawyer actually seeks out Chloe for help in finding the man responsible for attacking his sister. It was nice to see an alpha male lead needing his love interest to help him with something so important and possibly dangerous outside of a romantic suspense story. Chloe is a private investigator and very good at her job. Calm, clear thinking, and determined she is the perfect person to help Sawyer. Chloe is able to use contacts outside of the strictly legal police channels that Sawyer himself would have to adhere to. With all of her strengths and abilities Sawyer still sees her as a woman with a submissive side that he would love to help her explore and enjoy.

There is plenty of steaminess in COMMANDED but the scenes are not over the top and reads more as sensual and stimulating instead of outright erotically graphic. The story itself is nicely paced and the relationship and romance between Sawyer and Chloe develops quickly but believably. I enjoyed the respect and care Sawyer had for Chloe from the beginning. Sawyer never saw Chloe as just someone he wanted to see kneeling at his feet and obeying his commands. Chloe is not part of the BDSM lifestyle and Sawyer has to walk a fine line between what he wants sexually and what he wants in a relationship overall which is another interesting twist.

COMMANDED is an enjoyable quick read. It was nice to have a couple in this series that didn't fall into the BDSM world as intricately as the couples in the previous books.

Holy. Hell. Excuse me, where can I get myself a Sawyer Quinn? I give Commanded a brilliant, shining, and out of this world 5 stars. I loved the story, loved the characters, and loved the way it all came together. I was having a bit of a reading slump but this story recharged me.

Let's jump right into what I loved, shall we? Sawyer. Quinn. Is. Hot. I am talking about the kind of hot that is more than just his looks. He's got the attitude, the confidence, the passion, the wit, and the tenderness that rolls into one solid male to make him damn near flawless. I loved him easily and deeply. He takes care of his own and is very much a worthy hero. He doesn't attempt to control Chloe anywhere outside of the bedroom and respects her independent and self sufficient nature easily.

Chloe is a great heroine. She's cool, calm, collected, sharp, passionate, and compassionate. As a private investigator, she sees it all and doesn't let it rattle her. That's what brings her into Sawyer's orbit, he's friends with her boss and asks her for her help. She's always had this deep pull towards Sawyer and now that she's single she can act upon it, Sawyer clearly will.

The two characters are great together and apart. There isn't a lot of unnecessary drama which can happen in these types of books. There's a solid story that moves with the characters and easily allows the reader to fall into the world. This is very important considering this is the sixth book in the series. I didn't read any others but I might now since I loved this so much.

Being her Master is enough...
I've been a fan of the Club Sin series for a while. I love how the Masters of the Club Sin dungeon are strong, powerful, in full control but also soft on the inside. They take their responsibilities for the care and safety, and especially the pleasure of their partners very seriously. Club Sin has been home to Sawyer for years. He has risen to the position of Master and now trains other Doms. It pleases him to see his friends, also Masters, enjoying themselves as they play but he's missing that special connection that they seem to have with their women. Is he just going through the motions? He wants what they have, someone to share his heart with. He felt that spark with Chloe, but she belonged to another. When faced with a traumatic event that the police department wasn't able to solve he found himself seeking out his friend, Porter, who runs a PI service. Do you remember Porter & Kenzie? Yes, he is a fellow Master at the club and guess who just happens to be one of his PI's? Yup, sexy Chloe has made a reputation for herself as a PI and is just what he needs to make his sister feel comfortable sharing the details of her attack. The sparks fly between these two and it's obvious to everyone, including her boss. Both Porter & Sawyer are concerned that their world will be too much for Chloe. She seems so innocent. But still, she responds so beautifully to Sawyer's requests. Will she be the same in the bedroom? What if she disapproves when she finds out about his secret lifestyle? Can she accept his kink? Or maybe, once she's exposed to it, she might even share it...hmmm. But what if she doesn't? He doesn't want to risk her disgust or cause her to flee. Can he survive a vanilla lifestyle as long as she's in it? While you are waiting to find out, get ready to enjoy the action and suspense of the case that they are working on together. Each installment in the series brings the characters we have come to know and love closer together. Their friendship and support of each other is very special and I'm sad to see the end of the Club Sin series approaching...sigh.

This was so great. I loved Sawyer and Chloe together!

I've been curious about Sawyer from the beginning and I loved getting to learn more about him. I loved seeing this other side of him outside of Club Sin. He was just so sweet and super sexy but he seemed to have a different vibe than the other guys which was refreshing. I liked Chloe as well and I loved her innocence in respect to the bdsm lifestyle and how she perceived things. The two of them had a wonderful relationship and I loved watching it grow. They had really good chemistry but I never felt a major pull between the two.

This story brought about some big changes which was such a wonderful thing, even though I was sad one thing was ending I was happy the direction everything was going. I liked getting to see all the couples from previous stories and catch up with them. I really like seeing Porter protective side of Chloe as well. I was wondering what was up with Dmitri and Presley, their encounters seemed to provide bits of foreshadowing for the final book.

I thought this was a really great, smooth read. It had a steady pace and flowed nicely. A good mix of sexy times and emotion as well as a solid story. It did have a different feel for me than the others stories, maybe because the majority it took place outside of Club Sin. I thought it was an excellent edition to the series.

More like a 3.5 🌟 for me. Nothing wrong with the book- I liked the characters, and it was as hot as the others, there just wasn't enough to it. I read this book in a day (not unusual, but still fast for this series). I haven't looked at page length, but it just seemed really short and to the point. There wasn't a lot of conflict, and what there was, was resolved very, very quickly. Plus, I didn't feel like I got enough of the relationship from this book. Overall good, but just felt really rushed, not much conflict, easy resolution to conflict, and anti-climatic.

Title: Commanded
Author: Stacey Kennedy
Publisher/Year: Random House 7/7/15
Length: 195 Pages
Series: Club Sin #6

Overview

dedicated cop, Sawyer Quinn blows off steam by immersing himself in his role as a Master at the hottest club in Las Vegas. But when Sawyer goes after the perp who brutally beat his sister, he teams up with Chloe Nash, a sexy private investigator who awakens a sweet new need: to keep her to himself, away from the dungeon of Club Sin. Chloe is beautiful, smart, and too innocent for the lifestyle.

My Thoughts

we all knew this story was coming - There was a connection that we saw between Chloe (a PI who works for Porter) and Sawyer from their first meeting - so it's interesting to see how that plays out in this 6th installment to the series.

What's unique in this story is that we start off by learning that Chloe has been dating the same guy since high school and of course that creates a bit of a problem for her, while really none at all for Sawyer. he's just THAT confident. Luckily for the two of them, Chloe and her boyfriend realize that they aren't meant for the long haul and break up amicably.

The downside though is where this story starts for Sawyer and it's not a good place. while mentoring another Dom in the club, he's called away by his father after learning that his sister has been beaten severely, likely by her boyfriend, and is in the hospital. So that's where the biggest bit of the story takes shape. Sawyer needs Chloe's help to locate the boyfriend and that's what she's put out to do.

In being thrown together, Chloe's forced to admit her feelings for Sawyer, feelings that as a Dom he's quite aware of. It makes the experience and the interactions so much more intriguing to watch because Chloe is quite vanilla and doesn't seem to be a fit in the kink world that the others live in. she submits to him sexually but doesn't understand the allure of everything else.

This quest to find Travis, the boyfriend that beat up Sawyers sister turns up empty in a lot of cases, with every resources turning up with little to go on in the hopes of finding him. he's being hidden by his family and friends and while everyone refuses to give up in finding him, it's not coming easy.

While all that is going on though, at least it gives time for Chloe to learn more about Sawyer and vice versa to see what's there. Chloe's very pure and innocent to a sense, and Sawyer has this fear of corrupting that and ruining it. He even makes decisions for her that Chloe may not agree with in the hopes of keeping the essence that he loves about her intact.

So what this means is that we'll have a lot of amazing sceneing, and lots of great make up anger sex and then hopefully in the middle of it all, they'll catch a break and find Travis.

Where they come across him is completely unexpected and what happens from there is even more so a shock. It prompts a lot of things to happen at once and a few changes that are quite shocking from what we know of the characters in the series thus far. It's left me wondering what the final installment can give us since this one shook me up a bit and thankfully i've got that last book handy so i can check it out now.

I've enjoyed this series from the start. Sure, there were a couple of installments that I didn't love and the BDSM component isn't EXACTLY spot on but these books are so much fun and so hot that I can't put them down. This one was no different.

Chloe was a decent hero. She had a super minor appearance in at least one of the previous books but knowing about her isn't necessary before starting THIS book. I liked how Chloe was a little bit kick butt and super nice at the same time. She got along really well with everyone she met. She's also good at her job, I guess? Everyone says that about her and I'm sure it's true but there wasn't a lot of her showing off her skills. Then again, I didn't really mind that either. I felt like she seemed more real to be because she had normal reactions to dangerous situations. I mean, she was scared shitless...and then she turned on her kick butt-edness (I'm totally going to copyright that word! LOL!). If she had been totally unafraid and totally brave in each situation, she wouldn't have been very believable to me. But because she WAS scared and wasn't really sure what to do, she came across as completely real.

Sawyer was pretty great. He's a cop but I felt like I didn't get enough of him on the job, either. He's a SWAT team guy and I'm not really sure how that works. I mean, does the SWAT team do normal, regular police work when they aren't....SWAT'ing? Or do they only work when SWAT is needed? If it's the latter, his lack of time at work makes more sense. And yes, I do realize that he was given two weeks off to help with his sister but I really notice the lack of work time. I loved that Sawyer was a passionate guy. He clearly loved his little sister and I think his reactions to her ordeal were perfectly big brother-ish! It was cool that he had a great family, in general. I definitely felt like I got to know Sawyer a lot better than I got to know Chloe but I don't think that was a big deal for me.

As expected, the Sexy Time was super hot. It was fairly plentiful but I guess I expected a teensy bit more (quantity) from an erotic romance. Either way, I was fine with the amount that was there. I really liked how Chloe, just by being Chloe, gave Sawyer something he needed and wanted but maybe didn't know that he was missing. It was amazing that he recognized it too. But I feel like Sawyer did most of the changing in this relationship. Chloe was introduced to something she had no idea about but she took to it like a duck to water. I didn't really feel that she changed or was inconvenienced in any way, while Sawyer ended up giving up a big portion of who he was for her. And yes, he was happy to do it but it would have been nice if Chloe had evolved a little more too.

I absolutely enjoyed this book. It felt a little short but only because it didn't take long for me to read it. The story was fully fleshed out, made sense, and was really well paced. I liked how it slowed down a bit when Chloe and Sawyer were waiting for information on Sawyer's sister's attacker because that's how it would be in real life. Plus, I'm sure the slow down was on purpose too! Although this is Book 6 in the Club Sin series, I feel this would probably be okay as a stand-alone. Some characters from previous books show up but since Chloe is meeting them for the first time, readers probably won't feel lost or left out. I would recommend this book to fans of this series and to fans of erotic romance in general. I can't wait to see what this author does next!

Heather's review from Smut Matters

Sawyer Quinn is a cop who blows off steam by his role as a Dom Master at Club Sin. When his younger sister is brutally beaten by her boyfriend, he and PI Chloe Nash team up to hunt him down.

I both did and didn't like this one. I really like Sawyer and Chloe, both individually and as a couple. (Weren't those the names of a couple in Lucky Harbor?)  I got the feeling they had met in a previous book. I didn't realize when I requested this that it was the sixth book in a series. I thought it read pretty well as a standalone, though. There were a lot of couples who were clearly from previous books, which I'll definitely check out.

This one was pretty light on the actual BDSM. And the resolution to the difference in their sexual lifestyles was too easy. Sawyer was a little too quick to decide he was going to leave it all behind. From what I know of the BDSM lifestyle, someone who's risen to the level of Dom Master in his club, and is looked up to as a leader, helping initiate other Doms and Subs is not going to suddenly decide, "That's ok. My new girlfriend isn't into the lifestyle, so I'll just spend the rest of my life spanking her and that'll be fine." It was a lot for him to give up, and Chloe never even really tried it. She went to a club with some of Sawyer's friends, looked around a bit from her seat at a table in the bar area and decided it wasn't for her. I really wish she had tried it at least once. Even if not at the club, she could have tried something with Sawyer at home.

However, I loved that Sawyer was very clear on the division between his Dom lifestyle and his life outside of the club. There was never any misunderstanding about that. In the bedroom, Sawyer was completely in charge. Outside of it, though, he and Chloe were equals. He never treated her like a Sub outside of their bedroom. That's been a sticking point for me in a lot of BDSM relationships I've read. However your relationship works in the bedroom, if one treats the other without respect and trust outside of it, I have a rough time getting behind the relationship. Luckily, that wasn't the case with Sawyer and Chloe.

The part with Sawyer's sister's boyfriend was the weakest part of this one for me. The whole kidnapping plot, while a chaotic mess, was still a little too well thought out and executed for your average meth head. It seemed like it was really stuck in there in order to let us see Sawyer's exceptional sniper skills, which I would have believed without that scene.

Overall, this was a great introduction to Stacy Kennedy. I'm definitely going back and reaing the first five in the series when I get a chance. I liked all the couples I saw here who had already had their books. The writing was solid, the sex scenes were good, and the couple was great. All I want in a romance novel.

This is the sixth book in the Club Sin series but can be read as a stand-alone book. This is Sawyer and Chloe's story, both of who have appeared briefly previously in the series.

The BDSM theme is not really explored in this book but as Sawyer is a Dom at Club Sin, it is touched on and forms part of the storyline but for those not into BDSM stories, then this is a read you can indulge in without the kink being involved. There is some minor rope play but nothing to make you run and hide!

Sawyer and Chloe have met before as Chloe works as a PI for his friend, Porter. Sawyer has held back from pursuing anything with Chloe, even though he can feel the strong attraction they both have, due to her dating another guy. But it is a situation with his sister that has him seeking out her professional services that brings the pairing together. Once he finds out she is now single though, all bets are off and he pushes to make this beautiful vanilla woman his.

This was a quick and absorbing read and although I do love BDSM romance this was a very light touch on that. I loved that Sawyer was a Dom though as his alpha-licious ways were swoon worthy! His natural dominating ways were easily explored in his military career but once he was released from duty he needed an outlet for this and Club Sin was that outlet and lead him to his fellow Masters and friends. Sawyer has seen the majority of the Masters find love and settle down and he now wants that for himself. When his attraction to Chloe is undeniable he knows he is at a crossroads of his life that will have a lasting change forever. Little did he know what that change would bring him to.

Chloe was instantly likeable and I loved how she stood up for her belief in herself. She could not allow herself to try to be something for Sawyer that she knew in her heart she could not be, no matter how much Sawyer meant to her. I also loved how Sawyer worked out what it was he needed and made the decision he did, even though a tiny part of me was saddened at what he gave up.

The backstory of the attack on his sister was good to draw some additional drama into the read but it did not detract from the overall romance storyline.

It was good to catch up with the previous characters who make a cameo appearance. These guys just have me melting!

I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend this series if you love your alpha men with a touch of kink but not too dark like some other BDSM series. Four stars.

Solid 4 Stars...another great addition to this series

Honestly I have lost count as to what book this is in the series as I have read everyone, except the first, and I have really enjoyed all of them, minus one. This time around we get in to the life of Sawyer, another Club Sin Master and Chloe, the PI we met in the last book who works with Porter. The two seemed to have an attraction when they met in the last book, and this book obviously builds on that.

Chloe has been asked by Sawyer to help find the man who beat up his sister and Chloe is eager to help. As she just came out of a long term relationship she is hesitant to hop right into bed with Sawyer but being the man he is, he doesn't take long till he gets Chloe under his command and into his bed.

You heard me, into his bed, not into a scene at the club. Chloe is not part of the BDSM lifestyle, and though curious, she isn't sure she can become that person. Sawyer is happy to know that despite her conflict, there is no doubt she is a submissive in bed. I loved that the majority of this book takes place outside of Club Sin and more so I loved the decision that Sawyer makes along the way.

For those really into the BDSM aspects of this series, you may be disappointed as very little of that takes place in this book. For me, I loved that a new angle was taken by Kennedy in exploring the hero/heroine relationship. Readers will be happy to have all the former masters and their women throughout the story and like the others there is a little suspense/action taking place in the story. This story did wrap up a little too quickly for me and the Epilogue was nice, but I would have loved more. Overall I feel this was a great addition to the series, and there is still more to come.

Sawyer Quinn is a Master at the hottest club in Las Vegas but when he teams up with beautiful innocent Chloe he has to question if he can give up the one thing that keeps him sane in this magnetic Club Sin romance.

Chloe has been questioning her life choices since meeting Sawyer but nothing like the questions she finds herself facing when she realizes just how different Sawyer is from what she’s used to and the reader’s heart can’t help but be captured by these strong, captivating characters that are so opposite in a sexual sense, but so perfect for each other. The chemistry between these two is certainly hot enough to burn down Vegas and the sex scenes are scorching but the relationship hinges on a major decision by one of them that will change both their worlds, while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot enthralls readers with suspense, some excitement, lots of passion and emotional turmoil that has the readers questioning what if?

Tension and expectation builds throughout the story as the reader gets caught up in Chloe and Sawyer’s romance and that’s not all as the couple looks for the perp, things take a deadly turn that has them both rethinking things. Well written scenes and details make it easy for the reader immerse their self in the story while the intriguing events keep reader glued to the pages and I have to say that Master Sawyer’s dilemma adds a unique element to the story which adds depth and spices things up a bit.

Once again, visiting Club Sin is such a passion filled journey that I just can’t get enough of and I’m wondering if this story just became my favorite but it is so hard for me say that because I love all of them…oh well, I still have Mine to read soon and I can always go back and read them over and over and over… you get the idea.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Only a few BDSM series actually capture my attention. My favorite would still be Cherise Sinclair's Masters Of The Shadowlands and Mountain Masters And Dark Haven. Lexi Blake's Masters And Mercenaries is another favorite. Stacey Kennedy's Club Sin series has slowly worked its way up into my list.

Commanded is the 6th book in this series, and I have to say that the hero is a great character. I don't have a cop fetish. However, it's always hot when the hero is a cop and a dom at the same time. It's the idea of discipline and structure and rule and dominance. Of course, I also like him because he wasn't a macho jerk who couldn't and wouldn't accept any help from a woman.

I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed any other books from my favorites. I've read from Stacey Kennedy before, and I think her best work is on this series. I like the way she creates her doms and her subs. I like the whole new world she created in Club Sin and all its hedonistic, forbidden pleasures and the love stories that have grown through the past five installments.

While I couldn't really picture the hero and the heroine really ending up together, they had great chemistry that upped the book's heat factor. Of course, there are steamy scenes, but they are well-written. They will tease your senses and fire up your imagination.

All in all, Commanded is a good book and a very good addition to the series. I will surely still follow the next installment. I hope it will be as enjoyable. Better yet, I hope it tops this book in story and conflict.

Commanded (Club Sin #6)by Stacey Kennedy, is a quick, enjoyable and positive read. The story of Sawyer & Chloe is one of two people coming together over a family tragedy and quickly growing into a loving relationship. The book can be read as a standalone, brief cameo appearances from previous Club Sin couples, helps to tie the story to overall series.
General thoughts:
• Both Sawyer and Chloe are likable characters
• The back-story for both Sawyer and Chloe is limited, but enough is provided for the reader to form an opinion of them
• Sawyer is caring, has strong ties to his family, a dominant personality, that doesn't intimidate others, and strong morals.
• Chloe is open, sweet, calm, has a sense of humor, professional, she doesn't scare easily.
• The story is BDSM light, with references to the lifestyle and some brief rope bondage.
• Although the writing implies a chemistry, and connection between Sawyer and Chloe, I never really felt it, and I really wanted to.
• Both Sawyer and Chloe conquer personal challenges within their lives, to further and solidify their relationship, leading to an expected HEA.
I enjoyed the book and it’s a nice addition to the Club Sin series.

Advanced Readers Copy Courtesy of Netgalley...:)

Wow I cant believe this is the 6th book in this series already. Got to say I have loved each and every one of them, but somehow Sawyer has managed to sneak in and become my favorite.....

Sawyer is a Master at Club Sin, but lately he has been feeling like something is missing. He has watched all his fellow friends/masters fall in love and he thinks that maybe he is ready for that too.

He met Chloe who works as a PI with his friend Porter a month ago and he cannot get her out of his mind. When something terrible happens to Sawyer's sister he contacts Chloe to help him out. Even though she is what is considered "vanilla" in his world he knows he has to have her.

This was a really sweet book, and I say that because I loved how much Sawyer was willing to give up for the women he falls in love with, and I also loved how Chloe was willing to delve into a world that she knew nothing about and give it a try.

A really great read for this series and I look forward to the last Master who is left to get his HEA...

Although it did not seem like all is right with Dimitri and Presley and I hope we get a little novella or something there, because after all they were the first 2 to find happiness, yet are still not married.....mmmm...whats up with that?

The author Stacey Kennedy does a stellar job in this story between Master Dom, Sawyer and vanilla as in not in the lifestyle, Chloe. Both of these characters are introduced in Tamed: Club Sin #5 were you could tell that there was some interesting heat between them.

This book really adds a special twist to the traditional BDSM story line that will draw in all those women who are romantics.

There are plenty of amazing scenes between these two but the ending is so impactful on how Sawyer makes a major decision that will change his life/lifestyle as he has known it for the last 4-5 years to be with a women who has won his heart. This is a man that will warm your heart and make you melt.

Chloe is someone I can really relate to. I admire her work ethic and personal strength. She shoots from the hip and is totally honest with life. She is a prime example of a person being honest about a situation and being strong enough to do something about it.

Once again the author has written a steamy emotional book where the readers will love the ending. I give this book 5 STARS.

I was given this ARC for an honest opinion by Netgalley.

I enjoy this series and even if you haven’t read previous books you can still read this and enjoy it as well. This was a fast read with a little bit of angst and drama. Sawyer and Chloe are working together to catch the guy who beat up Sawyers sister. Sawyer is into BDSM and Chloe is not, they are both hot for each other and have some steamy scenes together. I am not sure if it was because the book wasn’t that lengthy that it seems like somethings were just wrapped up with a nice little bow to quickly or what but I didn’t care for that too much, I think the author could have made the book a little longer and gone into the BDSM part between Chloe and Sawyer more.
Characters: well written and believable
Sex: yes
Religious: no
Would I recommend to others: yes
More than one book in the series: yes
Genre: Romance
Would I read more by this author: yes

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, and this was the perfect ending for the gang. It could be read as a standalone, but really, why miss the pleasure of reading them all?

Here the story is turned, as Sawyer realises just what is important. The message is clear, and he is ready to listen. I loved the heat, the passion, and yet the gentleness. He conquered his demons through BDSM, and now finds out what matters most. The plot is enough to get the message across, and is tense, but the reader doesn't have to wait too long for a resolution. A pretty hot, sexy read, with only a hint of public play, but plenty of private passion.

I shall be watching to see what Ms Kennedy presents next for our pleasure!

5 Stars

This is the first book in this series, but it was written so that I wasn't lost... In fact, I loved it. The chemistry was off the charts and so incredibly hot! I will say there was a few times at the beginning where I felt like I had missed something, but it was explained enough that it wasn't a big deal, plus, I knew that I was coming in missing the first 5 parts of the story.

I wish we could've seen more of Sawyer with rope because boy he was flipping HOT when he had it. There was a very minimal BDSM aspect to this book so I wished for more of that, but the other things going on in the book kept me interested enough that I didn't really mind.

I can't wait to read more from this series and author. Great read with a couple that has to work through some challenges and choices that aren't easy to make.
