Forsaken Sinners MC #0.5

Rewriting Destiny

Rate this book
When life gives you lemons, it’s time for shots of tequila. That’s my new saying in life, and trust me, life handed me lots of lemons.

For eighteen years I took those lemons that life and “destiny” threw at me and made lemonade, but I’m no longer a naive girl. I was forced to grow up too fast and the one person I depended on turned his back on me. So now I say screw the lemonade and just give me a bottle of tequila, because I don’t believe in destiny anymore.

There is no pre-designed path set out for each of us. Sometimes bad things happen, it’s just a part of life. It sucks, but you have to pick yourself up and get on with your life. I’m done just sitting around and waiting for my life to change or something good to just fall in my lap. It took me awhile to understand, but once I was done being the doormat to destiny, it was time for me to take control. I would decide where I would go in life and what would happen. It wouldn't always be pretty, it would sometimes hurt like hell, but I would make sure I lived my life to the fullest.

It time to rewrite destiny.

4 Totally unexpected stars

I could not figure out what I wanted to read next, yes one of those moods. So I went through my kindle and found this box set and just jumped in.

I am not usually a fan of YA or NA but I really enjoyed this book.

 photo minner_zpsjidtctro.gif

It starts off with a very young naive Danielle who has not had a regular upbringing. Danielle's mum dies when she is three and her Dad just can not cope so signs over his rights to her grandmother. Danielle is a loner but does form a strong bond with her neighbours Zeke and Zane.

Rewriting Destiny was obviously a lead up story as it takes you through Danielle's youth following her relationships with her grandmother, friends and lovers. These relationships and the things that happen to her are what defines her future and leads her to make a fresh start.

 photo stayfriends_zpssxkcgqkw.gif

Danielle's fresh start leads her to a tattoo shop owned by the Forsaken Sinners MC, I must say though that this does not happen until 3/4 of the way through the book. There is not much of the MC life in this one, I would say this is a coming of age story with a second chance for love.

WARNING: If you are not a fan of OW/OM in your books be advised, you may not like this one. Although the H & h are not truly together at the time it does feel like cheating.

Zane is the most popular guy in the senior class. Star quarterback on our football team, champion for the last three years in wrestling, and he was also nominated Prom King this year.

The hero used to take our heroine to parties and leave her alone to have sex with other women already in high school.

“Oh God, Zane, yes! Yes!” Oh. My. God. She’s fucking Zane? I just watched him screw some chick up against a truck? I can’t believe...

Empty promises.
Zane turns toward me and takes hold of my hand. “You know I’ll always be here for you, don’t you, Baby Girl? Doesn’t matter how far away I am; I’ll always be there for you.”

They almost had sex and he does not confess his feelings making her feel bad.
He regrets what happened last night. What I thought was a turning point for us was nothing but a mistake for him.

He does not get in touch on her birthday and gives no explanation.
If he was going to wish me a happy birthday at all, he would have by now. Last year I only got a text message, and now I don’t even get that.

He does not show up at her graduation ceremony. And he also does not give a sign of life or that cares about her.
“Where’s Zane? I didn’t see him in there.” Looks like whether I want it or not, I’m going to get the answer. “Ah, well, he’s not here actually. He, uh, he’s pretty busy with school right now,” says Mrs. Hendricks.
The ceremony was beautiful and so many people showed up.
Mr. and Mrs. Hendrix, but no Zane. The only person who was really there for me was Jaxon.

He knowing that he would be deployed soon ... Why did he invite her to move to another city and change university? Does not make sense. She would be alone and friendless in a strange city.
Let's agree that our hero is a shithead.

“No, you gotta come. It’ll be fun, I promise. You can crash at my place tonight, then tomorrow we’ll spend the whole day unloading your stuff and touring the campus.”

The same pattern repeats itself again. He takes her to a party and forgets her completely because he is going to have sex with another woman. In high school, our heroine was in a familiar environment with friends. Here he left her in a strange environment and without her knowing anyone. His attitude was unforgivable and it had serious consequences.
I get up to go to the bathroom, and when I come back, there is a stunning blonde next to Zane where I was sitting a couple minutes ago

When I return to the living room, I don’t see Zane or the blonde anywhere.

“He left? But I came here with him. Why would he leave without even telling me?”

The guy didn’t use a condom when he raped me and I’m not on birth control.

The message he sends to her when she asks for help:
Zane: Jesus fucking Christ! I’m sorry, but I do have a fucking life ya know. I can’t be there for you all the fucking time. You need to learn to take care of yourself at some point. I’m not always going to be around for every little thing you need! I’m turning my phone off. Maybe I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Make sure to leave my keys on the console.

He was the one who told me I should come here to go to school. He was the one that said he would take care of me. I didn’t ask for any of this! Fuck this and fuck him.

He wasn’t there for me when I needed him the most. And when I begged him to answer me and he finally replied, he didn’t even ask if I was okay or what was wrong. He just blew up at me. Well, I’ve had enough. I’m done. Done with him, done with everything.

The old Danielle is dead, and in her place is a girl that I don’t yet know.

I can see Danielle coming back into the room. I give her a look, trying to see if she is okay, but before I can make out her expression, the blonde starts rubbing her hand up my thigh. Fuck, that feels good. Since Danielle arrived today, I’ve had a constant hard-on.

Liam comes up behind me and notices the same thing. “Like I said, you shouldn’t have left her there.”

But he’s also the man who walked away from me when I needed him the most, who fed me to the wolves and broke me beyond repair.

Weak girls get hurt because they can’t handle what destiny throws at them. I need to be strong, powerful, and unbreakable. Destiny can kiss my ass— I’m taking over, writing my own story.

When life gives you lemons, it’s time for shots of tequila or to re-write destiny

In a few words: BRILLIANT! BRUTAL! DEVASTATING! POWERFUL! INTENSE! Rewriting Destiny is all that and more, as DEBUT author Shelly Morgan opens her creative throttle wide open and blasts us into the world she has created. The hidden gem pile has just revealed blindingly bright read to treasure and a gifted author to follow.

Dani still remembers the day she met Zane and his older brother Zeke. From that day forward, Zeke became like a big brother and Zane became her best friend. When tragedy struck and a promise was broken, all Zane and Dani had were each other to console their shattered hearts. But teenaged Dani felt more than friendship toward Zane and was secretly sure he felt the same, until he went off to college and disappeared from her life after one brief but exquisite intimate moment they shared. Another tragedy brings Zane home from college with the plan that he could take better care of Dani and her dependence on him if she came back to school with him. Hopeful, Dani soon discovers Zane will not be there for her when she needs him most when he deserts her at a party to spend “quality” time with a buxom blonde. What happened to Dani that night is nothing short of heartbreaking, soul breaking and pure hell, and Zane had turned his back on her and she ran.

Fast forward several years, no longer the insecure girl, Dani has been educated in the school of hard knocks, but has found a home and family with a rough and tough motorcycle club who take her under their protection, like a sister. Now a tattoo shop owner, a new club pledge is being sent her way to get some ink. Enter Zane-and fate and destiny sit back laughing in her face. Her unrequited, soul deep love, her biggest heartbreak has returned. Now what, more pain, more humiliation or will the new and strong Danielle make their “re-connection” something Zane will never forget? Go Team Danielle;)

Looking for a sweet and soul-grabbing tale of second chances for love and redemption from a personal hell? Not going to find it, no hearts and flowers or slow-mo tripping through a field of flowers, that isn’t Shelly Morgan’s style. This author takes bold and earthy swipes at each page with fiercely strong characters, grueling and torturous scenes and in-your-face emotion. If this is what we can expect from Shelly Morgan, I’d say we are in for the ride of our lives and this was just the prequel to her series!

I received an ARC edition from the author in exchange for my honest review and suggest you mark February 19 on your MUST READ calendar!

Note to self: Read this one in the past when safety wasn’t yet an issue for me. Not safe, hero descriptive sex with OW, leaves heroine at party all alone to have sex with OW in his car and takes her home to f*ck some more. Heroine doesn’t know anyone else at the party and ends up being raped as a virgin. Afterwards she calls him several times that night, he hears his phone but doesn’t pick up because he’s banging the OW in his mattress. He was in love with her since they met, but he lost himself in countless OW to “forget” her because he made himself believe they could never be together. Heroine witnessed him being with OW. They end up together, in the end, which is just gross. Nothing but nothing could redeem him in my eyes.

Not sure what I think

I liked this at first. It really didn't match the description. I didn't feel like Dani was abused all her life, she had a grandmother who loved her and she got through school. Now she did have something horrible happen to her. I like she was strong and made a new life for herself. She sure didn't take any crap.

Zane...well I didn't like him and if he uttered Baby Girl one more time I think I was going to bang my head off my iPad. He also committed the biggest no, no in my reading life: I love you, but while I am waiting for you to have your experiences I am going to have sex with anyone I want to and just picture you while I screw their brains out. I tell you that is the kinda love I want! NOT! He also made choices for her to protect her, well you arrogant jerk it didn't work out well.

Oh well...not for me but I am sure someone will like it.

I'm not sure I liked this book. Zane secretly loves Dani but is with a girl at a high school party he invited her to. Dani realizes that night there's no hope for them and tries to move on. Zane was standoffish with her during her last two years of high school. Zane reappears after her grandmother passes away and asks her to go with him to Austin. Once again he invites her to a party. He ditches her to screw a blonde girl. Meanwhile Dani gets taken advantage of. She tries texting Zane but he's to busy with the blonde. Dani bails and heads back to her grandmas and packs her shit up and hits the road. Zane finds out the next day that Dani was assaulted. I'm sorry but I do not think I could have forgiven him. Why did he even ask her to go to Austin? I didn't like his explanation he gave her for that night. He should have brought her back to the dorms. All he did was hurt Dani and I couldn't get over that. I don't like when people say they love someone but sleep with other people. People shouldn't hide their feelings. I'd rather lose a friendship knowing I tried than see the person I love hanging out with other girls.

They were never togehter as couple before rape, so no cheating.
Heroine openly loved him
Hero "loved" heroine, but fucked around and heroine saw him fucking OWs several times (sex scenes with ow and him thrusting)
Skipped most of the "younger crap and teenage love and heartbreak, all the OWs"and went right into that rape night and what happenf after. (Chapter 14)
I don't know how i felt about the grovel. Was there grovel? Did he even say he is sorry? I feel all he made was excuses; that how he LOOOOVED her years, but he was afraid or some shit and had to go off with OW (to fuck and that scene was also detailed.. like the rape was detailed ) and leave heroine alone with older stangers. (And she got brutally raped, which she did not report, but ran off. She was a virgin and took a morning after pill).
They were 4 years apart. Met. Had a fight. Talked. Hero made tons of excuses and "whys" he did what he did. Heroine felt she still loved him, but there was some anger. They did not meet 7 days. 8th day they meet and time alone has already softened her (hero did nothing). 9th day the fuck. Then a month of no fuck or seing each other because club drama. And then they make up again.

Like.. no grovel and i wanted to read this book because that rape-betrayal and THEN epic grovel. WHERE IS MY GROVEL? Like how they get back together was so dissapointing, because i was waiting that grovel that never come.
Time heals her wounds and he was a stupid horny teenager back then. They go back abd forth. Like together, but but not together? Then she faints like a fair maiden and at the hospital they find out she is pregnant (no condoms or pill talk ever). Pregnant and HEA. And she is like 21?22 y?

Also.. there is no mention about OWs during that 4 years. Like.. he KNEW he left heroine alone to a party where he took her and she got raped. He beat that dude up or something. But like.. was he celibate finally out of guilt or something? No mention. Heroine was with at least 1 other guy.ONS

And how hero became patched in Blaze? Like 4 years and he did 2 tours with marines? Prospect time or something? How did he find that MC and why he transfer? .. weird..

Half the story I wondered where the motorcycle genre was, but then I got the answer. Dani and Zane are the best friends among whom they are very deep emotions. However, no one acknowledges this, and because of secrecy and circumstances, a tragedy occurs.
I liked Danielle, but Dani not much. I liked that she was back on her feet, but not at the expense of rudeness, what she was. I don't like that Zane's story while he was in the Marines was not told at all, so I practically do not know anything about him.

I received this ARC for honest review. So honest you get.
This book is heart warming, heart wrenching, and just hot!!
Never have I been as taken with a new author as I am by Shelly Morgan. This book touched my heart
Zane/Danielle/Zeke are great characters.Brothers and friend.Through twist of fate they go from best friends to people left behind. They are the best and the worst together and so they are separated.
Danielle goes from the lost little girl to force to be reckoned with.
Zane from the sweet boy next door to a hot alpha biker. On different paths in their lives to end up, ironicly ,back in the same town as each other.
This is an epic book.Shelly Morgan this may be your first book but definitely not your last.Great job!

I have this bad habit of reading books and forgeting to put it here , so I often find myself re-reading the same books, until I remember something or check if I read them. This happened with "Rewriting Destiny". The book started ok , you can stomach the immaturity and stupidity you see in their inner monologe and their interactions because the H and h are still young, but in the second half it is unacceptable.

The "Hero" :
description

"Of course I`ve talked to her about it.That night he made us go back to his office we discussed everything there was about that time in our lives. Or wait, did we actually go over any of that? Now that I thing about it , I`m not sure if we did. She mentioned that the person I knew all these years ago is gone, but she never said why or how. And I never asked what she went throgh in the years after what happened to her; I only told her what I had gone throgh, and that now that I had her back in my life, I wans`t going to let her go. Shit! How could I not ask her all the important questions?"

And this "talk" they had is about

The heroin :

All in all , this is how I feel about this book

See, when I was younger and life threw me lemons, I just made lemonade because I figured that’s what I was supposed to do. Not anymore. Now when those lemons come my way, I’ll be doing shots of tequila instead.

When I read the synopsis to Rewriting Destiny and it opened with having tequila shots instead of lemonade when life give you lemons, I knew I had to read this book. For me though, that was the highlight of the book. If you love angsty NA books, you might enjoy this more than I did. I was expecting a gritty biker book, and I got a mostly YA book since more than 50% of the book chronicles the heroines high school history with the Hero. I knew that it would include some of their earlier years, I just wasn’t expecting it to be more than half the book. Truly, if I had known this on the front end, I probably wouldn’t have read it since YA is definitely not my thing.

Most of this book was angsty to the nth degree. Some of it is dark, including a rape. I can handle angsty, dark and gritty, but immaturity makes me grind my teeth. Unfortunately for me both the H and h are immature as all get out through most of this book, even after they grow up.

Dani has had it tough. Life handed her lemons from the beginning when her Mom died and her Dad abandoned her when she was three years old. She did have a wonderful Grandmother who loved her dearly and raised her well so that lemonade was sweet at times but more lemons kept getting lobbed at her. She hits rock bottom when Zane, her best friend who she’s secretly in love with, decides to get laid so he abandons her at a party where she knows no one and she ends up getting raped. Then Zane refuses to come when she calls begging for help, so Dani runs. After being taken in by the Forsaken Sinners and becoming the owner of her own Tattoo Parlor, Dani slowly heals. Dani at times seemed to have it together and acted as the strong, kickass heroine that I really like. Then she would be a bitch, or do something so totally immature and stupid I would just roll my eyes.

Zane is one of the biggest asshole Hero’s I have ever read. He is a Class A jerk. He also should win an award for one of the worst apologies ever. No groveling to be had here. I might have liked him more if we had more insight into what he was doing during the years after Dani disappeared. One minute he’s being deployed, then bam, several years later he just kind of shows up a member of the Forsaken Sinners but with no explanation as to how this happened. This was frustrating.

I did like most of the members of the Forsaken Sinners MC. This was a prequel and there was lots of setup for future books with hints of what’s to come. I will read the next book in the series because I already like Mack, Toby and the boys a lot more than I liked Dani and Zane and I want to read their stories. Hopefully they won’t be YA disguised as biker books.

Since this is a prequel to the upcoming Forsaken Sinners MC series and only Shelly Morgan knows where this series is going...readers are given a fairly long look back into what Danielle's life was like from childhood on and the impact neighbors Zane and Zeke have on her life. Danielle has several significant life altering experiences but she proves to be a strong enough woman to pull herself up by her bootstraps, forge a new life, and learn to take care of herself. Along the way she finds herself protected by the Forsaken Sinners and learns to make friends while becoming part of a family again. Zane accidentally walks back into Dani's life and turns everything upside down in her world. They have secrets that need to be dealt with before they can move on and decide what they want from and for each other. Zane must realize Dani is not the same girl he knew growing up and he selfishly added to her emotional and physical pain. Dani must forgive Zane for hiding some major decisions from her at critical points in her life that left her floundering and all alone. The author has thrown some teasers out I for one hope get answered in the series...who and what is Dani's father and is Mack hiding some secrets? I just love this ending quote...sums up a lot about all the characters..." Live your own life and chose your own path - rewrite your own destiny."

DNF— I don’t like the writing style- it seems disjointed and like a young teen wrote it. Too much book time is spent on the years when they were kids. The H has sex with OW all night long after he invited h to come be with him at college. We don’t know much about what happened to the H while he was in the Marines other than he was deployed twice. When the book finally makes it to current time- it’s 4 years later and 60 percent into the book. The h has morphed into a tough talking badass tatoo artist for a MCC. The H shows up to her tattoo parlor halfway across the country from where they are from. He’s now patched into the exact club she’s affiliated with… get this he’s been in love with her since the first day they met as children— he had a funny way of showing it fking everything that moves the whole time they were together but not together. This should have been great angst but it wasn’t. The h buys his lame o excuse because he tells her he always loved her and it was to protect her that he had sex with all the ow— even though she was right there beside him… such a weak way to tie up the loose ends of this story. It basically just fizzled out from there on and I skimmed to the end. This story was just weak.

I was graciously given this book as an ARC for an honest review.

*Alert: Due to a sensitive situation, rape… This book may not be for everyone.

All I can say is hold on to your hats ladies and gents... The ride is about to start on this new series by a very talented and gifted new author Shelly Morgan.

My personal thoughts on this story. I really, really liked the way the story unfolds for Danielle and Zane. It begins as them being best friends in their teen years throughout high school. Life evolves and a tragedy strike which then takes them both on different paths, only neither one of them realized it at the time. They've loved each other from the beginning, but were too young and immature to know how to nurture it. Instead, hearts were stomped on; beat up, broken and decimated to the point of almost no return.

A real life heinous and cruel act happens to Danielle that changes her life forever. Gone is the innocent and trusting girl. Meet the new independent; take care of herself, hardened adult Dani. While running away from her old life, she stumbles across Mack. He is the President of the Forsaken Sinners MC and owns the tattoo shop across the street from the motel where Dani is staying. She sees a 'for rent' sign for an apartment and decides to ask about it. This decision will forever shape who Dani ultimately becomes, and those who make it their mission to support and protect her going forward.

Four years later, Dani is asked to tattoo a new MC transfer from the Nevada chapter. When he arrives and Dani hears his voice, her world again, is changed. Zane (Blaze) is here to get his new tattoo, but doesn’t recognize Dani at first. Until, she calls him Zane…

Zane cannot believe that he has found Danielle again, his ‘baby girl’. What Zane is not aware of is that the young girl that he thought was lost to him forever is not the woman he believes her to be. Gone is the innocence, the trust, the adoration for him that Dani carried around in her heart for Zane. Zane’s mission now is to get her back, by whatever means possible. He vows to protect and love her to make up for what he let happen to her years ago.

Friendships are rekindled, hearts are on the line, trust issues still plague them, and jealousy, independence and another chance of Zane protecting Dani from another psycho who means to do her harm.

This is a great story that you won’t want to put down once you start reading it. It is fast paced, has a few kick ass plots, solid characters and it is a stand-alone book.

I can't believe I actually read this. Disappointing.

Over 50% of this book is YA. Highschool kids drinking and screwing around. Zeke joins the Marines, does in combat. Zane falls in love with Dani, turns into a jerk. Dani love him, takes his behavior and let's him treat her like crap. Jerk drama, rape, and more jerk drama, leads to Dani taking off.

Now we get into the adult section of the story. Dani lands on her feet with the Forsaken Sinners. Years later, Zane shows up as a brother in the MC. More drama follows, attempted rape of Dani, and a surprise pregnancy. There, story is done. Definitely not worth the money or my time to read any more in this series. Thankfully, I got this book for free.

I have to STOP listening to recommendations

What a waste of 3.99 Disappointed in myself for listening to who recommended the book.

First 50% of the book was high school drama and more of a YA book. Then you finally get to the adult portion of the book only to have the Hero be a jerk and the heroine getting raped.

Dani ends up taking off and several years later Zane shows back up in her life. Boring book ensues. Some rinse and repeat smex scenes, I mean come on they weren't good scenes at all and the same words repeated.

She ends up pregnant and it's the end.

Sorry if you really want to read a good MC book look for another Author there are plenty.

Gross

The scene where she finds Zane with someone else is one of the most heart breaking things ever, plus that has no place in a romance. At all. I don't want to read that trash. Romances should have the main characters having sex with each other, no one else at any time. And he was supposed to pick her up but didn't? He just left her at home and went to sleep with someone else? No place in a romance. None. Put a warning or something on this crap before starts reading and is emotionally crushed like I was.

Had potential

The story had potential But kind of fell flat. The 1st half of the book is when the characters are in hs. I understand we needed a back story but this was way to much. Way to many unnecessary details that added nothing to the story. Lots of under age drinking . The second half of the story was better but not much. Danielle forgave Zane way to easily. With a good editor this could have been much better.

Rewriting Destiny is Shelly Morgan's, Prequel to her Forsaken Sinners MC series and is also her debut novel. This author has brilliantly written a heart-wrenching story about young love emerging from the ashes as life throws tragedy after tragedy at them. Zane and Danielle's triumph over the trauma they endured in their traumatic young lives is nothing short of beautiful. Their journey isn't rainbows and lollipops, but loss and heartache and making the best of what life gives you.

The story is told mostly from Danielle's point of view and halfway through the book you are given insight into Zane's. I cannot express how many emotions this book evoked from me. The adolescent years were prevalent in setting the tone for this story. The three musketeers, Zeke, Zane and Danielle were inseparable and shared the others burdens and happiness. Zeke and Zane's family moved in next door to Danielle's when she was thirteen. They were her best friends.

Zane was the all-American football players throughout high school. He felt deeply about Danielle but she was younger and he wanted her to enjoy her time. Danielle realizes at a young age, she would always love Zane and that he would never reciprocate those feelings or at least that’s what she thought. When another loss occurs, Zane returns from college to help his baby girl recover. He talks her into going to school at the University of Texas with him. She once again lets her guard down and makes plans to be with her best friend. When the unthinkable happens, she is left alone once again and she learns to depend on herself. This is when you see the emergence of the new, angry, vengeful, Dani. Four years later she has become the Princess to the Forsaken Sinners MC. They are her brothers and the President has all but adopted her as his daughter. He has taught her a trade, tattooing, and she is good at it. Everything in her life is within her control until Blaze walks through her parlor. Once again, everything is turned upside down in her life.

The entire time, I continually asked myself how this book was going to evolve into an MC romance and them bam! It did. The brothers are protective and loyal. Toby and Louie are Dani's best friends. This books has drama, angst, love, romance, and a happily MC ending for our hero and heroine. It is fast paced and you are not left hanging at the end. This author is now on my author radar. Once again, another excellent addition to my library! I cannot wait for the next installment in this series.

This book…..I need a moment….this book should come with a warning label. Do not read if you have a heart condition or at least have some nitro tabs nearby! My heart shattered over and over and over again! I cried. I screamed. I clutched my chest. I gasped. I yelled. I threw things. I was happy, sad, angry, heart broken, devastated, shocked and many more emotions! A great MUST read book! It’s been a few days since I’ve read it, but I needed that time to start to heal before I could relive it for a review.

Danielle had so many lemons thrown at her in her young life that she will have scars forever! Her mom dies. He father gives her over to her elderly grandmother and then abandons her. Heartbreak and abandonment from the start! Her grandmother did the best job she could raising her but she was up in years. Danielle felt lost and all alone in the big bad world. That all changed the day a new family moved in next door giving Danielle two brothers Zane and Zeke to occupy her time. They became the best of friends.

Life seemed to finally look up for Danielle. Then tragedy strikes forcing the bond between Danielle and Zane to double tenfold. Eventually Danielle realizes that she has more than friendly feelings for Zane. She has hope, but then he goes off to college leaving her once again feeling all alone.

Yet another tragedy strikes. Zane comes to the rescue. He convinces Danielle to go to his college so they can be close to one another. Excited? Don’t be! You guessed it, TRAGEDY! We learn that Zane was keeping secrets from Danielle that she will learn down the road. What does Danielle do? She leaves everything behind and starts over! Good for her! She finds a new family with a MC and reinvents herself. Now, she is Dani. Tattoo shop owner. Stronger. Able to dodge lemons better.

Well then…..ok not tragedy right now but you can’t run from your past can you? A new biker has joined the MC and the President sent him to Dani’s shop to get a new back piece. “Blaze” walks into the shop and...and….and….go read the book!

More tragedy comes barreling down at Dani. More pain, but she’s tougher this time. She can handle it better. Just be prepared for some feels! They beat you down hard! Just one right after the other, over and over and over! In the end, Dani did rewrite her destiny. The saying goes….what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger. Dani is a perfect example of that.

Now the writing is great. The characters are amazing. The story grabs you and holds you for dear life. I could not put the book down once I started. I cannot wait for more from the author. A definite must read. Go 1-click and be ready for the ride of a lifetime!

I received an ARC of this book last night after Shelly Morgan posted a contest on her Facebook page. After shuffling the kids off to bed, I opened it up. I. Couldn't. Put. It. Down!!! This book ended up being much more important than my coherence today but I'm not sorry. It was worth it. I am a picky reader and I read a lot of books....like a whole lot. I don't hand out 5 star reviews very often but I have to say, I am amazed that this is her debut book. First she made me fall in love and then she broke my heart. After that, she ripped it out and stomped around on it for a little while. But when she put it back together again, it was so worth it and I forgave her. To me, that is what a good writer does. The more emotions I feel while reading, the better writer you are.

I instantly liked the characters. The way that the book was written, I became invested in their lives instantly. Danielle was so likeable. I loved that she wasn't a whiner or clingy and basically was kind of a badass, albeit a feminine one. I could see myself in her situation so many times! My heart was as invested in her life as hers was!

Zane was hot as hell and I pretty much fell in love with him instantly. There were a few times that I wanted to shake him and say "Wtf are you thinking!?!?!?" He pissed me off more than a few times but I always kind of had an idea of why he was doing what he was doing so he was pretty easy to forgive. I love a possessive alpha male and Zane was pretty much perfect. I am more than a little in love with him I think.

This book was a perfect cure for my book hangover but now I have another one. I can't wait to read Toby's story! Get back to your computer Shelly and get writing!!!

An ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my goodness I absolutely loved this book! I was sucked in from the very first page, and I couldn't put it down! This is so much more than just your regular MC romance novel. The author has a beautiful writing style, and she managed to weave her characters into my heart. I loved all the characters, and I really felt that I was invested in this novel! I could feel all the emotions the characters were feeling and was able to connect with them. I love when an author can draw me in to a story that well. It's hard to believe this is Shelly Morgan's debut novel!

This is the prequel to the Forsaken Sinners MC series, and I absolutely can not wait until the next book in the series is released! Fantastic job done by Shelly Morgan! If you're a fan of MC romance, then I definitely recommend checking out this new series!

This book is heart warming, heart wrenching, and just HOT!!!

Shelly Morgan has touched my heart with Rewriting Destiny.
Zane/Danielle/Zeke are brothers and a friend, as close as family. Through a twist of fate they go from always being there for each other to being a friend and family left behind.
Zane and Danielle are the best and the worst together. As time passes and things get in their way , they are torn apart.
Zane goes from the sweet boy next door to a hot ass biker. Danielle goes from the lost little girl to a strong, independent force to be reckoned with.
On different paths in their life's to end up, ironically, in the same town associated with the same MC.
This is an epic book. Shelley Morgan this may be your first book, but definitely not your last.Thank you for your hard work.

Story has a silly,artificial feel

The H 's actions throughout are fairly nonsensical and seem artificially generated to create angst factor. In addition,Danielle's transformation by the end of the tale is over the top unwarrented as was the constant, ludicrous manufactured push and pull between them. I hate rating low on someone's hard work, but in all honesty 3 stars is generous IMO.

This was actually a reread for me. I liked the book although some parts dragged on. The h was likable but after the rape she became this badass until the H showed back up. She caved pretty quick once he was back. I didn’t like that at all, he definitely needed to grovel more.

Didn’t love it didn’t hate it
Our hero who could be considered a zero makes some pretty big mistakes… our heroine grows some pretty big girl balls and turns into a bit of a badass
Does Zane redeem himself? Just I’m satisfied with the ending

This book is a perfect example of an author trying to be badass and failing miserably. I thought it started out ok and then it went downhill. The h is described as everyone liking her and her having a good heart. Ah, no. Not at all. She was actually spoiled, self centered and mopey the entire book. Not to mention a bitch. I found myself disliking her so much I didn't mind the H Zane anymore. Another case of a cowardly beta man who the author tried to portray as strong. Ah, no. Then the h finds herself a MC after all the shit that went down between her and Zane. She's adopted as their princess. Eye roll because the author just threw the MC in there for no apparent reason felt like. Dani the h was drinking bottles of whiskey and tequila. Actually someone really should have staged an intervention and got her to AA stat. Girl's throwing back beer after beer. Then downing a whole bottle of Jack. So cool! Not! I'd like to explain to the author that alcohol poisoning is real and there's no way with how she was drinking that she wouldn't have been hospitalized. Maybe do research? I know this is fiction, but make it believable with thing's like that. Not only that she's been drinking this hard since she's 16. Gotta be her liver's crying at her. Anyways, the h Danielle I just did not like. And it was weird reading a book with my name and my exact height, hair, and eye color 😂😅. One thing I'll mention which I can't stand in these books is when the H is a manwhore and says every woman he's been with he's pictured it was the h. Boy please. Just own up to your whoring ways and just go with that. No woman wants to hear that. Am I right?

Safety: no cheating. H is in love with h, but doesn't pursue it. He's a manwhore with a great imagination. There is an on page descriptive rape scene that happens to Dani which was Zane's fault. I don't care what Dani says in the end.
