He's a half-breed granted the unnatural ability to shapeshift, troubled by the ghosts of those he has killed and hunted by the Agency and its masters, who have finally shown their faces.
She's a speed demon, a race-car driver who's lost her job and her father. A search to find the man who gave life to her leads to King City, where a desperate war being waged in the shadows brings her into contact with an impossibly gorgeous shifter.
Justin Renne knows this beautiful, curvy woman is different from the others, and her need for speed matches his own in a way he never thought he'd find. But he has unintentionally pulled her into his world of death and brutal warfare with a firsthand introduction that should leave her scarred for life.
But Shay Lyon is made of sterner stuff than that. As his fight and her quest become inexorably intertwined, so do the pair and their future. In the end though, she's a human in the midst of a war. Can he protect her from his life of violence, or will she end up as just one more nightmare that haunts him?
Amelia Jade loves to write the stories of tall, growly shifter men and the women who come to love them. Living out in the back-country near the mountains, she keeps her own alpha male close by, to keep the bears away and keep her warm. In her down time (which is rare), she loves to read science-fiction with a dash of fantasy. You can often find her curled up in front of the real wood-burning fireplace, her nose firmly buried in a book or her favorite ereader. The cold can't bother her there!

Am really enjoying this series love the characters and the storyline so can't wait to read more in this series so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone
Book 2 of the Agency series, we're now seeing more into what's going on with the Agency, and what it will take to stop them for good.
Justin, call sign Charlie, is a Sentinel for the Underground. If you've read book one which you should have before reading book two, you already know about the war between the Underground (shifters) and the Agency (anti-shifter zealots). Justin has a harder time with his position than the rest of the team. He knows what needs to be done and he has the skills to do it, he just doesn't want to have to kill anyone. After an "attack" by an Agency thug, Justin meets Shay. One look into her blue-green eyes and he's lost.
Shay, a former pro race car driver, has made her way to King City. She's looking for her father, whom she hasn't heard from in months and is presumed missing. As a human not involved in the war, she has no idea what's brewing between the Underground and the Agency. That doesn't stop her from ending up in the middle of it.
Not as many action or sex scenes as the previous book, but it didn't leave the book lacking. This book embraced the emotional side of it more than book one. The internal dilemma between right and wrong, good and evil.
I enjoyed the story, the characters, and of course the drama. Whether it was the fight scenes or the intimate scenes, I liked it all. Overall a highly enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to seeing what Sentinel gets his happy ever after next.

I received this for a honest review. I so love this series and anything to do with Genesis Valley. Don't worry, each book works fine as a standalone.
Shay Lyon had the need for speed. She loved to race and love the thrill that the speed gave her. She truly love cars and anything that could go fast. When her world came crashing down and she realized her career as a race car driver was over she went in search for her father. She did not realize the journey this would take her own.
Justin Renne loved his bike. He loved working and helping other shifters. He was part of the Sentinel team. He was having some issues will parts of the job and was not sure how to handle what was bothering him. Oh sorry, you will have to read the book to see what was bothering him.
Justin knew he was smitten the moment he laid eyes on Shay. He found out she was looking for her father and truly wanted to help. He did not realize this would take him in the heart of the Agent headquarters. There was truly danger all around.
This was a great story. One full of love, adventure, hope, and a new outlook on things. You will fall in love with each and every character. I so can wait see what will happen next in this series.
Another good read from this author. Justin is a trained sentinel operative who is struggling with the killing side of what he has to do. Whilst I commend him for these feelings I think Shay put it best, if he didn’t do what he did more shifters would die. Shay was a cracker and I really enjoyed her abilities being utilised. I did not feel there was a lot of interaction between our two H’s. They did meet and it was coming along nicely but then all of a sudden we are near the end of the book and they profess they love each other. Little too rushed and lacking commitment for me. Whilst I really enjoyed this book and the continuation of the background story I was miffed at our heroine Shays’ stupidity. Going back to where she was threatened at gunpoint is not smart, especially as she is looking for a father she has rarely interacted with. Why the big deal to find him? Sounds like she is better off without the waste of space in her life. But saying that her actions did help the Underground gain the upper hand with and more information on The Agency. Unfortunately, The Agency is not finished so we get more books. YAH.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
The Agency is still in operations and we are determined to bring them down. It is getting harder to defeat the Extreme and Enhanced but we will keep fighting.
I don’t like killing I try to give them other options but they don’t stay down. Every time I kill I wonder if this is when I cross the line and start enjoy the kill.
What are the chances I finally meet a guy that I can like but I am broke and kind of homeless. Looking for my father but not sure where to start. He and I are not close because he was in and out of my life since I was young but he is all I have left so I worry when I don’t receive his monthly communication for 3 months.
If you like confident but at times shy guys and gutsy girls then this is the story to read. It will keep you reading until the end. The author has done a great job of weaving the story between Justin and Shay two people who at first glance are at cross purposes but soon find a common goal.

This was a really good book with a good balance between action and romance. I absolutely loved Shay, and how strong she was. The fact that she was a race car driver added serious bonus points as well, since that's rare to find! The fact that Justin is a killer worked against him and took me a bit longer to warm up to, but I did eventually like him, and thought he genuinely cared about Shay. I really enjoyed following their story, and getting to see some familiar faces! I was upset when one of them got hurt, but turned out I didn't have anything to worry about because it wasn't as bad as I feared, and they all still got their HEA (the most important part!!)
I voluntarily agreed to review this book. My review is my own honest opinion. Love the story and this book! Shay is a race car, who's been on a losing streak and is out of money. She decides to look for her long lost father. Justin is a shy Sentinel. He in the fight but don't care for the killing. He meets Shay after he's kicked off his motorcycle in front of her. Shay finds Justin cute, interesting and the first shifter she's ever met. He's so secretive at first about his job until she witnessed a fight and his bear. I really liked Shay. She was one tough cookie, even in the face of danger. Justin is a woman's dream. In spite of what he does for a living, the prejudice they face, he refused to let it change his character. Another great addition to the series!
Justin Renne is more than just a killing machine and the ghost's of his kills haunt him daily. Shay Lyon use to race cars, but now is racing against the clock to find her father. When the Agency is out to get Justin, will Shay listen to why? Will they be able to find her father and rescue her before it is to late?
Another Amelia Jade hit! Loved Justin's softer side and how he wasn't just a mindless killer. Shay was a tough woman and fit perfectly in with the group. I was happy that they made her dad realize what was going on and he was willing to change his ways! Can't wait to read the next in the series!

Werebear Justin is in conflict with his identity of self. Is he more than he trained to be? What is his purpose in life? Shay Lyon challenges him. His bear realizes that there is something different about her. Will he ever realize what she could mean to him?
I highly recommend “Blackblood Bear" by Amelia Jade and it deserves 4.5 stars.
i was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed the book very much, the emotion between the 2 main characters was pulsing off the page. the secondary story with the female's father pulled you in. The action of the story was very good with the fights between the agency and the under ground.. over all it held intreigue and excitement with that dash of romance and erotic scenes that we have some to love from this author.
Another great Amelia Jade book !!! It's all about the eyes.... It's all he see's are her eyes !!! Justin meets Shay and he can't stop picturing the color of her eyes. She's in King City looking for her father and meets the sexy shifter while he's dodging an SUV door that was just kicked at his motorcycle. Get the book now to see if Shay finds her father or if she finds trouble and will Justin be there to help her ... I received this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

BLACKBLOOD BEAR(The Agency #2) by Amelia Jade
Another great book from this author, I really enjoyed it. The storyline was interesting and entertaining, and the characters were such a great pair. They had good chemistry and were well matched. There's a good balance of drama, action, and romance, which worked really well. Overwll a very intriguing and exciting. Very enjoyable.
This book was awesome and we finally got to see more of the elusive Mr. J. Ugh I love these agency books but I will be glad to see the end of these people. I'm extremely interested in finding out what type of shifter Mr. J is. Even though this is a separate series I would recommend reading the ridgeback bear series and the Genesis Valley books before these. You will get more background and understanding of some of the characters.
More action and excitement as the Sentinels take on the Agency.
This time Justin 'Charlie' goes after his HEA with Shay, a human race car driver. Is he going to be fast enough to catch her? Will he be fast enough to save her or is she the one doing the saving?
Wow it took Justin almost the whole book to admit Shay is his mate. What was the deal with Shah second guessing if he was coming or not. It seemed kind of thrown in there and then nothing :) about her insecurities after that one scene. So, the question remains what is Mr. J? Is he like Flint but his serum made from dragon's blood or something else?
I'm so ready for the next book! This one was good but I need to know what J is!! Sigh. I suppose I can wait a little longer. I'm really enjoying the storyline and can't wait to see what she comes up with for the next book!
Amelia Jade writes a great series of hot, sexy shifter stories. The agency series of books are just as good as her other series of books. Please try them you won't be disappointed.
