Nothing like a deadline to put the exclamation point on the troubles Myla and Lincoln have. Seven days stand between them and the ambiance of an Aca prison. In a desperate play to find proof that dark magic has been used to usurp the honor of Myla’s rightful title as Great Scala and to save their upcoming nuptials, Myla and Lincoln must head to Earth and Myla’s personal version of hell, high school. It is here they must uncover the proof they need in order to save Hell overpowering all the realms.

Really? High school for Myla? I have to hand it to Christina Bauer’s wit and clever storytelling, ACCA is a true test to how much Myla has grown and how far she will go to save her world! Irreverent as ever, but clearly a young woman of strength and honor, Myla is as entertaining as she is impressive with her mad fighting skills, as well as her ability to act out an undercover sting! Okay, maybe its Lincoln’s ability to keep her in check that saves the day, but whatever it is, these two are an incredible duo that make the term soulmates come alive.

Once again, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I love this series and Christina Bauer’s style!

Another amazing book in the Angelbound series! This is one of my favourite series and I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book, as well as the last one in the series.

We continue the story basically where Scala left off. After the death of Adair, Aldred goes straight to work to ruin the lives of Myla and Lincoln. This time, while Myla and Lincoln are out gathering evidence to send the House of Acca to prison, all their evidence is stolen and the guard killed. With Myla and Lincoln about to be sent to jail, they manage to escape with the help of Myla's dad and find themselves on Earth. Where they learn that Aldred may be trying to bring back Armageddon for good. Will they be able to clear their names and prevent Armageddon from coming back before its too late?

Being totally honest, I was really worried that this book was not going to be as good at the others in this series. I found that it started out a bit slow, and it was a bit boring in the beginning. I just couldn't read the whole thing, and kept putting the book down. It wasn't till about 60 or 70% into the book where the action and storyline really had me hooked and I just read the rest in one sitting. Usually Christina Bauer is really good with making the whole book exciting, but unfortunately this one wasn't it.

If you have read the previous books in this series, definitely give this one a chance. Once you get past the beginning, the ending is definitely worth it. I would read the whole book over again just to get to that part.

If you haven't read the first books, I definitely recommend reading those first. This is a fantastic series for all fans of fantasy and action. Take my word for it, you will love it.

Happy Reading,
- Aneta

Cannot be read as a standalone

I highly recommend reading the previous books before starting Acca to have a better understanding of the characters and realms.

In this third book, Myla and Lincoln are up against Lady Adair's father, Aldred, and of course Armageddon. If Aldred and Armageddon get possession of a magical coin, demons will be able to leave hell and create havoc everywhere.

As Lincoln and Myla's wedding day draws near, the two have to work together to find the coin before their enemies.

The story had some good fight scenes and I really enjoyed it. The only issue I had with this book was Myla's immaturity.

*Thoughts*

Acca is the third installment in author Christina Bauer's Angelbound Origins trilogy. Quasi Demon Myla Lewis, aka the Great Scala, who can move souls to hell and heaven, and her fiance, Prince Lincoln of the Thrax House of Rixa, who is part Angel, are on the hunt for evidence against House Acca which has been itching to take power from Lincoln's father, King Connor. Six months ago, Myla, with her dragon scaled tail, was one of the best arena fighters in Purgatory. Then she became the Great Scala after Armageddon tried to rule.

Once again we follow Myla and Lincoln’s intertwined fates as the Great Scala and the Crown Prince of the Thrax.

We find them gathering evidence to use against Aldred, the earl of Acca, who had been against Lincoln since his family had taken the crown and especially since a lust demon, a.k.a. Myla, captured the heart of the soon to be King.

With only a week to compile all the evidence and testimonies, prepare their case and present it to the Thrax High Court, the pair was running out of time. Everything seemed to be against them and each turn drove them deeper and deeper into trouble.

After a death of a friend, Myla and Lincoln had to escape and find a different way to prove their innocence.

Right, ok. I’ve been thinking about how to word this review without giving out spoilers. Truth is, as a reader (traditionally), we know that the good guys always win and the bad guys lose. What drives us to read from page one to the very last is how the author took us there. In this case, Myla and Lincoln against Aldred, the Earl of Acca sans the title of the story. This is the third book in the series of 5 (not counting the 2 spinoffs Angelbound Offspring) and just like the first 2 books; this one is fast-paced, full of action and kept me entertained until the end.

However, I did find a few things that didn’t sit well with me. One, Myla’s character at times seemed more immature in here. She is now the Great Scala, soon to be Queen of the Thrax yet some of her dialogues and actions didn’t live up to her titles. Then I had to remind myself that as a matter of fact, there had only been 6 months since book one. So really and truly, she couldn’t have matured that fast. Still...

Two: what is up with Connor? Will I ever find out?

Three: I felt like I was reading about Steven Seagal. You know how in his movies, action scenes, action scenes, people dying left and right, things blowing up and everything yet Steven Seagal is still immaculate, unhurt and maintained a calm and collected manner. That’s what the action sequence felt like to me at times. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish harm on Myla or Lincoln but man! I wanna see a Bruce Willis type of scene thrown in the mix at least once.

Four: why was everyone against Myla being the Great Scala? Even her igni were rushing to replace her by nominating a new scala heir when the ink on the parchment stating she’s the new great scala hasn’t even dried yet. I mean, it took thousands of years before Myla herself became the scala heir, didn’t it?

Sigh, ok. Enough said. I guess, I will know the answers to all my questions in the next book! Bring on book 4!

First off, let me start by saying, finding the first book AngelBound in my local library, is one of the BEST things ever! This series is a whole lot of amazing and a ton of badassness!

CB truly has brought a whole new look to sci-if/fantasy and I am completely in love. The AngelBound Origins Series proves that just because you are a demon and live in purgatory doesn't mean you're bad and can't help save the world! CB also truly writes like someone would talk, it's not a formal way of writing and when I first started reading the series it took some adjusting, but it is sooo worth the read!

I have been waiting for this series what feels like forever. Lincoln and Myla are just to fantastic. In the first book you HATE Lincoln and then you are head over heels for him! I catch myself laughing and smiling at things Myla says or Lincoln does for Myla. I also find myself hating characters and rejoicing when the baddies get their asses bitten by Karma.

The only part I found a little disappointing was the big fight scene with Armageddon was a short one. Myla's such a warrior I was hoping to see her battle it out a little more and maybe more detail on the dress during the wedding. CB, my friend, you have truly outdone yourself!!!

Goodreads Synopsis:
In just one week, supernatural warrior Myla Lewis must discover enough evidence to send the evil House of Acca to prison… or she’ll end up in jail herself, along with her fiancé, Prince Lincoln. No pressure.

To gather proof, Myla and Lincoln go undercover at an all-girl’s high school on Earth. Lincoln acts as the new gym teacher; Myla becomes the school’s least popular transfer student ever. To stop them from getting the goods, Acca releases Hell on Earth. Literally. Good thing Myla and Lincoln aren’t afraid of a tough fight. This one promises to be the hardest yet. After all, who ever said high school wasn’t hell?

My Review:
After the last book, this one begins with Prince Lincoln and Myla demon hunting. They've bit off a little more than they can chew, but that's not going to stop them. They're trying to find a special book and a certain coin to keep safe from the devil himself, and the Acca household is trying to set them up for failure once again. Only this time, they have to go to Earth. It's a shady little all girls school called the Wheeler Institute. I started this book and knew I wouldn't be able to put it down until it's done.

Overall I don't really have to say much about it. This book was an enjoyable read. Although the characters haven't really developed through the series, they've stayed the same people we know and love, consistently. The book gets straight to the point, and is exactly what you would expect. Exciting, full of action, and a little romance. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book. Definitely check it out if you get the chance, if you like supernatural demon girls from another world who always get the bad guy in the end, this series is for you.

A thrilling read!

In just one week, she must discover enough evidence to send the evil House of Acca to prison…
Or she’ll end up in jail herself, along with her fiancé...

And my favourite couple is back on another thrilling and exciting adventure. I'm so glad I discovered the first book when it first released because these books are just so awesauce.

Full of adventures, heart pounding movements, laugh out loud movements, steamy movements, angels, demons, thrax and ghouls.

Perfect for readers of dark fantasy/paranormal romances.

This is a series you really need to start at the beginning with or you will be lost. Acca picks up where Scala left off. We have the house of Acca and their leader doing underhanded things to gain power and countrol. They have other houses afraid to go up against them and Acca’s leader is trying to take the crown I am sure of it.

While they are plotting, Myla and Lincoln are trying to find a way to stay out of jail and to do this they need to get evidence against Acca. Myla still has absolutely no filter, although she is getting better at controlling when she says her mind. Lincoln has had a good influence on her in that way. He has been by her side helping her get comfortable in her new role as Scala wile he is trying to do what is right and best for his people. He is going through a lot and he does it with a silent grace and confidence.

I love watching these two interact and work together. It is like they are extensions of each other at times. And neither holds back telling the other what they think. In this book these, two are going to high school and boy is that entertaining. Myla in high shcool is a hoot. That girl is really stubborn and speaks her mind. Not only that she just will crack you up as she tries to figure out high school and stay out of jail at the same time. Lincoln will always remain to be my favorite character. He has a quiet air about him that just draws you to him and has you feel safe and cared for. His support and love for Myla shines through continuously and seeing him be there for Myla no matter what is great. It’s also wonderful to see Myla support Lincoln and try to hold her tongue at times when she really wants to say someting that could hurt them. Their dynamic is very fascinting because they are opposites in so many ways and yet they fit together like a lock and key. Working together they find out so many things that is going on and you just marvel at all the deception and plotting that has happened and is happening.

The story is filled with love, family and support for Myla and Lincoln and between Myla and Lincoln. They are a great couple. It is filled with mystery, danger, intrigue, reveals and twist and turns that has your mind reel. Christina Bauer does a great job keeping you rooting for Myla and Lincoln while not making them and their story stagnant but relevant and alive. These two draw you in and keep you rooting or them and wanting to see them overcome it all and help their people and themselves while fighting for themselves and those they care about. A fun story filled willed love, danger, reveals and entertainment.

I loved the first book of the series so much. So, imagine my disappointment when I ended up hating this.

My favorite thing about the first book was Myla's character; she seemed so funny and all-out kickass. But here, I only identified her as.... juvenile. She actually yelled "Eat death" before fighting. No, she was not joking, she was completely serious. I repeatedly found myself questioning her age and kept going back to reread the fact that she was about 20. She did not seem 20. At all. Maybe more 15.

Also, the thing with her tail.... why does she call it "boy"? The fact that it apparently is a different entity altogether which she cannot control (except evidently when she fights) is something I'm not even going to touch. But boy? She's a girl. And the tail is attached to her. But she sees it as a masculine object/character. What? That confused me. A lot.

Overall, I was just terribly disappointed with this book.

Sorry, but definitely not as good as the previous ones in the series. Some repetitions, grammar mistakes, behaviour of characters that doesn't match with the personalities established in previous books, lots of convenience, cheese, sugar...
There were also inconsistencies with the timeline, between this book and and #2, and the events - more specifically, the final resolution of conflict in #2 experienced some changes

Well... I think after this book I'll finish my journey with Myla. Don't get me wrong - I love her. She's one of my all-time fav female characters, because she has so much sass and life in her. And she's SMART. Her relationship with Lincoln is one of the healthiest and best I've read. But...

Well, BUT. The plot got worse. Writing also seems to get lazy. Characters other than Myla and Lincoln are paper-cuts saying few words in the background (even Myla's parents, and I loved them for first two books SO MUCH, not to mention Walker).

So while it was a good read, it wasn't enough to keep me going. But I'll cherish Myla, and her love for Lincoln. Those are goals most of YA writers should aspire to, if they really want sassy MC.

Acca – Christina Bauer
Kindle Edition

I received a complimentary copy via NetGalley for review purposes.

It has been a while since I've read the previous books in Ms. Bauer's series that I'd forgotten how incredibly fun her character, the great Scalla truly is. A mix between Buffy and an millennial, her, first person narration is fun and flirty with enough sly Easter eggs for the book nerd out there, pages turn themselves.
Her world-building is excellent – her vision of Heaven, Hell and Purgatory with its royal families. Arch angels and arch-demons is nearly as eventful as the great master Dante Algeria.
However, there is a slight irritation of the constant use of first person, present tense to force a sense of tension that is unnecessary that draws away from the story. I will forgive, Ms. Bauer for that Hamiltonverse, the language usage is supreme and more of a weapon than any of the spells or ancient Angelic/Demonic weapons Ms. Bauer legacy will lie in the way her main character speaks and acts. And frankly, I want a demonbar for a nibble!
The side characters, from her future mother in law to Connor the keeper of all knowledge are interesting and half filled out but lacking in the Whedonverse in terms of fullness and completeness.
Again, her tail and it's absolute adorableness will win forgiveness as Ms. Bauer successfully combines Gen X and it's hispterness with Millennial's and their disaffectation.
The plot while not complex it certainly fun. It, again reminds one of the Buffyverse and should be highly complimented for this.
I particularly approve of the soon to be mother in law. Octavia. She combines both a 60's superheroine with and 80's diva. Out of 5, Octavia alone scales a 5.
The male characters seem to lack the depth of Ms. Bauer's female characters, something which I am willing to forgive her on the basis of how many male writers slim down their female characters to either pushy broads or flighty chicks.
All together, 6 out of 5 for the humor and sly wit. But since that is not allowed, 5 sly winks out of 5.https://smile.amazon.com/Acca-Angelbo...

In 6 months, Myla's life has been changed completely. Now she is preparing for court to try to get the Acca leader in prsion, while also getting ready for her wedding to marry the love of her life, Prince Lincoln.

But the 3 days to get there has a lot of obstacles. One, Aldred keeps stealing the one thing that Lincoln and Myla have to defeat him in court, and each time it is taken, they have to figure out where it is and retrieve it before Friday at 5pm. Then, Aldred is looking for Lucifer's coin to open up Hell and get Armageddon through...again. He's a thorn that keeps on growing in Myla's life.

Then they have to go to Earth to find both missing items, and act like a teacher and a student. But the things they see on that island would make anyone worried, so now they have to make sure the humans are safe before they go to court.

And to top everything off, both Lincoln and Myla's people hate the other one, and they have to get over that hurdle to be able to rule both worlds without a huge fight on their hands.

So it's safe to say that life for Lincoln and Myla will never be boring. Let's just hope they are able to make it down the aisle.

Such a great novel full of funny lines, kickass scenes, and lots of scheming and figuring out the next step. I very much love Myla. She is awesome and amazing and I want to be her friend. I also love how much she has opened up now that she's with Lincoln, and how confident she has become.

I am so so so frustrated with Lincoln's parents. They are spinless turds who just need to retire and live life with one another on an isolated island and never return. I thought his mother was cool, but the way she lets things get away when it comes to her husband is just terrible. They are supposed to be king and queen of their people, yet they are so blinded by things in their personal life that they cannot possible take care of their people. I am so glad Lincoln will be the new king because he cannot possibly be worse than Connor is right now.

I'm so excited to see what happens in the next book. I definitely recommend this series! :)

Acca (Book 3, Angelbound Origins) - Christina Bauer

I was given a copy of this book by the author in order to provide an honest review.

Christina Bauer is an American author who writes many fantasy stories. Besides the “Angelbound Offspring” series she has also written the “Pixieland Diaries” and the “Beholder” series plus many more.

The Great Scala, Myla Lewis, and the Prince of the Thrax, Lincoln, are now engaged to be married.

But that doesn’t mean they can relax and enjoy this time. No, they have a persistent enemy who they must take down first – Aldred, the Earl of the Thrax house known as Acca.

Ever since Myla came on the scene, he has had it in for Myla. Might have had something to do with the fact that Lincoln didn’t want to marry his daughter Adair anymore and his chance at the Thrax throne slips out of his clutches yet again. But hey they are the breaks sometimes – you can’t always get what you want.

So instead of their days being filled with enjoying each other and a zillion wedding plans, they use a magical book to help them store and gather evidence that will help them take down the House of Acca in Thrax court legally.

Problem is just when they finally gathered enough evidence and prepare to present it to the Thrax court it disappears under nefarious and mysterious circumstances.

Now Myla and Lincoln must race against time to retrieve their evidence and bring down the House of Acca, avoid being imprisoned for the rest of their lives and all before their wedding day.

“Acca” is the book that I have anticipated the most in this series. We finally get an end to the drama with the House of Acca. Now while this has made for some page turning reading, I have been waiting for our heroes to shoot them down. This book was an enjoyable read and I’m curious to see what journeys the author has Lincoln and Myla taking next.

Myla and Lincoln are getting married! The two moms have the wedding all planned out. Lincoln’s mom has a ball planned for Myla before the wedding one which Myla does not want to attend but of course that would be so very rude. Although she doesn’t want to go to the ball she will because that is the right thing to do or the grown up thing to do.

Oh and did I mention that Myla and Lincoln are on their way to jail if they can’t prove their innocents. They only have a few days to gather all the evidence to bring before the Arbiter so she can decide the outcome of the case. The house of Acca has it in for Myla and Lincoln and wants them out of the way so they can take over Thrax so they are trying to send them to prison. So Myla and Lincoln must prove their innocents and stop the house of Acca and send them to prison instead for all the things they have done against the house of Thrax and save their people.

Myla and Lincoln travel to Earth to gather more evidence for their case and they only have a small window of time in order to do this. They are going undercover at a school on Earth to find the evidence they need to clear their names. Myla will be going in as a student and Lincoln as a teacher. Although Myla hates high school she is kind of looking forward to being on Earth as she will get to use all these techy devices like a cell phone, a computer, ect. All the things they don’t have in Purgatory as they don’t have internet. But oh how she is disappointed when she arrives at the school and finds they have no internet either.

Can Myla and Lincoln get the evidence they need so they can present their case to the Arbiter in time or will they go to jail? Will they gather the evidence before the wedding? Is the wedding or off? Can they prove their innocents? Does the house of Acca have the evidence to put Myla and Lincoln behind bars?

I can’t say enough how much I love this series or how awesome it is. The world building is out of this world. The author did a fantastic job of describing hell, purgatory and the after realms. Oh and the Igni. Myla is still just as amazing as ever with her snappy comebacks and she is one bad a** fighting machine. She has a tail with an attitude. Myla is part demon, angel and human. Her mom is a demon and her father is an angel. I can’t wait to read the next book Tharx to see where Myla and Lincoln take us next because if I know those two they are going to take us somewhere amazing.

If you love reading about demons, angels and a good fantasy book then you are going to adore Acca and Angelbound Origin series. Check them all out today!

Acca can be simply describe as this: procrastination 101 and how not to get away with murder. Also, it needed major proofreading.

This third installment in the Angelbound Origins was okay, but Myla and Lincoln (M+L for this review) have horrible time management skills and mixed-up priorities. The frequent use of pet names was also grating after a while.

I liked where we got to venture to a new place in the story and engage with new characters. The threat to M+L’s future is high and reclaiming their lost vital evidence adds a danger element to the story. But they are so into themselves and their physical attraction that crucial time is wasted. There is so much at stake in Acca! I get that they’re in love, but I would think stopping House Acca – and avoid imprisonment! – would keep them focused. Not to mention the growing tension between thrax (what Lincoln is) and demons (though Myla is a quasi-demon) over M+L’s pending wedding. The consequences of failing don’t seem to matter much to them.

Prior to Acca, the antagonist (House Acca) has shown amazing cunning and wickedness. But here…like I said, how not to get away with murder (literally and figuratively). Despite how ridiculous the climatic scene was, it was action-packed and kind of cool.

Myla’s tail and the thrax judge stole the show for me. What’s awesome about Myla’s tail is that it has sentience and a personality. The tail allowed for nice moments of levity. The thrax judge was so bad-ass in her stalwart following of the law and administration of justice.

While Acca was a quick but frustrating read, I will continue reading this series because at it core it is entertaining and I am invested in Myla’s story.

Another installment in the Angelbound series, Acca goes a little back in time to when Myla and Lincoln are just about to get married. Right before their nuptials, the Earl of Acca is hatching a scheme to kill the lovely couple and take over their kingdom. Having to fight both demons and Thrax alike, Myla and Lincoln do not have an easy path before them to marriage. As the plot thickens and the risks get greater, Myla and Lincoln must fight for what they want and what they love.
Not as interesting as other instalments in the series, Acca starts to tie up some plot points that had been previously skipped over in the making of Armageddon. Fans of the series will be glad to see more of their favourite and most hated characters. Myla and Lincoln are consistent characters to who they were in previous novels, with their witty kick-butt-ery ways. This novel did contain a good amount of action and mystery, as well as political discourse and magical intervention. Myla's powers are still very cool along with the dragon tail which is extra cool. The romance in this novel was not as interesting as it was in previous novels, but it was still pretty good, although I must warn there were some heated moments with mildly inappropriate content in them. Not suited for young readers. Ultimately, I give Acca the rating of FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS!!!

Myla and Lincoln have faced more troubles in a short period of time than any romantic couple I have ever read about. Recently engaged they're now faced with yet another conflict involving the dreaded Thrax noble houses again - will their troubles ever end?

I enjoyed this one a lot more than previous ones as the action throughout it was fast-paced thanks to the addition of a deadline. Throughout this we were introduced to new characters, creatures and ultimately a new piece of the world which we're given the opportunity to peruse in. The fast-paced take on this book was phenomenal and I really really enjoyed it. Some downsides were the way the characters speak - it's still very early teenager talk and the repetition of the previous book which makes it lose it's flow with the other books, albeit it is picked up very quickly again the further you progress.

The ending of this one was by far my favourite and gave me so many overwhelming emotions. I am excited to get my teeth into the next couple of books to see how our characters progress further.

Again, my recommendation would be aimed at 15-16 year old's who are new to the Young Adult fantasy genre and would like a nice beginner set of books. Although there are negatives for me it's because I have read other books with a bit more adult-like talk. If I was reading these five or six years ago they would've been my favourite things.

Acca is the 3rd book in the Angelbound Origins series and the 3rd book I have listened to on Audiobook. I love this series. I love seeing what Myla is going to get herself into next. So far we have seen her come from a almost normal teenager to being engaged and becoming the Scala of the After Realm and now finally She and Lincoln are getting married. If they can stay out of jail and live long enough.

This book was one of my favorite so far. Myla is actually running things now. Lincoln and Myla have to get the proof needed to finally get the House of Acca put into prison. They get it but it is stolen before they can use it. To get the Rixa Codex back which holds the recoded proof they need they have to make a quick trip to Earth. Once on Earth they have to fight the Acca there too, and be back in time for not only court but their wedding day.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series to see if things gt more intense or calm down a little bit while Myla and Lincoln enjoy their new wedded bliss. And also to see if their is a little Myla or Lincoln on the way.

There are a few colorful words in the book but there is no strong sex scenes. There are 2 scenes in this book but they leave the actual act to your imagination instead of spelling it all out for you.

There’s so much going on in the 3rd book in the series; the deadline to prove that Acca is rapidly approaching and is they can’t find the evidence they need to prove that Myla is the Great Scala and the house of Acca hid the evidence then they and House Thrax will be found guilty. With just seven days left before the court case and eight days before their long awaited wedding something goes wrong and they are left hustling to get what they need.

One of my favorite things in this series is Myla’s sass, snark and kick-butt attitude and while it was here there was also more darkness that I have not seen in the previous books. Also, there seemed to be more repetition (example: followers know that Sissy is her best friend and we don’t need it repeated again and again), there were others but I won’t list them and while it’s not a big deal I find it annoying and feel that the editor should have caught it.

4.25/5 STARS: **I want to thank the author and/or publisher for providing me with a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review; all opinions are mine.**

I recieved a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
Back when Angelbound origins was just a trilogy and I just finished reading the last instalment, I was torn that I had to say goodbye to Myla and Lincoln. And when the news about Acca and Thrax are out, I was jumping in excitement. This is just what I need, a perfect 5 star book.

This instalment were about the previously skipped wedding of our favourite badass couple, Myla and Lincoln. And I would've thought that it is going to be a simple novella, but boy I'm glad that I was wrong. As always nothing comes easy for our heroine Myla (A.K.A the Great Skala, who moved souls to hell and heaven) and her fiancé Lincoln (who is also the to be crowned king of the Thrax, half angel demon hunters) this book was packed with awesome adventure, action, and romance! I couldn't ask for more. Great writing style combined with great character development, Acca is the book that everyone needs! Although you need to start at the beginning (Angelbound).

Highly recommended! Simply cannot wait for the next instalment.

It's time to finally get rid of the Lord of Acca.
Seriously, Aldred is one big creep. I'm not really sure I understand his hand game. You would think that it would be easier for him to take the throne if he was a little bit more subtle about it. The fact that he doesn't actually care for the well being of anyone makes it sort of hard to understand what he actually wants.
Then there is the problem with Conor, it's an on going point in the series and I'm not sure how it's going to be dealt with in the end.

I like this book because it's a fun addition to the series and at the same time we got to see how Thrax behave on Earth and Mila also got to have a little go at demons on the surface.
Though having her go to high school, that's a bit too funny, lol she doesn't even have a full class before everything goes to hell.
One thing is sure though Christina Bauer knows how to do creepy. At time even the good guys seem a bit creepy. I love the conclusion of this one, seems like about time something happens in that kingdom.

4.5*s

*audio copy provided by author*

Hooooooly demon bars!!!! I do love Myla, oh yeah, and Lincoln. As with each story you get into Christina takes you on a journey. You may not know the destination, but I can guarantee you, you'll enjoy the ride. I highly recommend these books, and I tell anyone that will listen all about them.

This book gives you a look into allllll the things you were wanting to know after reading Scala. (Or that's how it was for me at least.) The Who, what, when and why of it all comes out and when it does, the crap hits the fan.

There is an underlining to the story that will have you glued tot this story. Myla and Lincoln are both about to take their love and life to new heights. This story, with each page literally morphs these characters from "children" to "adults". Chaos gives way to calm and in the end, a simple ceremony makes it what is sure to be, awesomeness.

"Supernatural warrior Myla Lewis must discover enough evidence to send the evil House of Acca to prison… or she’ll end up in jail herself, along with her fiancé, Prince Lincoln. No pressure."

This was just one heck of a way to go into reading this action-packed, adventured filled, supernatural fantasy romance. Myla had her hands full of getting the goods and keeping herself and her prince out of prison. This was no easy task. Things had a bite with twist turns and deception. Still filled with great well-developed characters and a plot-line that keep it coming. Sending Myla and Lincoln both back to high school, on Earth. There they get all kinds of things going. To find the truth Myla will do what it takes to survive.

Christina gave another great addition to this supernatural series that have me wanting more. Myla has all the witt, charm, gumption and strength to make a strong fierce role model for the young-ladies of today.

If I were a YA kid then I'd love this book. Apparently, I'm an old fart now because I found the story good, but the characters annoying as @$!#.

I hope Christina Bauer moves into Urban Fantasy. She has excellent ideas/story lines. But her characters are geared towards the kids so it's hard for me to connect. If I could have jumped into this book and grabbed one of the female characters by the shirt then I would stare their adolescent ass in the face and say, "Listen here Myla! Say 'Totally' one more time!!! I dare you! I f@@@ing double dare you!"

You are correct. I heard Totally and Sweet and Awesome so much in this series that it has drove me CRAZY!!!

Cristina Bauer does a decent job narrating her own story. I was weary about an author doing her own narration... but she grew on me.

I got book 1 of this series free on my kindle, decided I wanted to listen to it at work so bought the audio to it. I am so glad I did. It started out a little slow getting to know all the characters in the first book but now that i have i love them. I love a strong sassy female lead and this book has one. Romance, action, humor this book has it all. It also has a great message about getting past what other people thing about you and how you are more than just your title in life. It is also supernatural which i love. I also love the fact the author is the narrator and she does such a great job. I can't wait until the fourth book Thrax comes out in audio, i am defiantly keeping Audible in business with this series.
