Myla's pregnancy is far from normal. So when an impostor poses as Lincoln, no one believes her. Something sinister is going on, and she needs to go to the Earth's surface to save her husband.
The action was amazing, but my favorite part of this story was Myla's igni. I also originally thought that Myla wouldn't be able to do much due to her pregnancy, but she kicks serious butt in Thrax! I had so much fun reading this book. I can't wait to see what Christina Bauer brings out next.

I highly recommend reading the previous books before starting Acca to have a better understanding of the characters and realms.
In this third book, Myla and Lincoln are up against Lady Adair's father, Aldred, and of course Armageddon. If Aldred and Armageddon get possession of a magical coin, demons will be able to leave hell and create havoc everywhere.
As Lincoln and Myla's wedding day draws near, the two have to work together to find the coin before their enemies.
The story had some good fight scenes and I really enjoyed it. The only issue I had with this book was Myla's immaturity.

Although I enjoyed the previous book more, this was overall a good read. The adventure was entertaining and the fight scenes were awesome.
The main reason why I'm not rating this a 5 star read is because of the story. I didn't like how the antagonist was an immature girl that always had tantrums. Her jealousy was annoying and it just didn't do it for me.
I also didn't like some of Myla's inner dialogue. I found her really immature at times, and I had to stop myself from rolling my eyes.
Christina Bauer is a creative author, and I love her ideas. But sometimes it just feels like she makes things up as she goes. Certain topics are often unclear and unexplained. With a little bit more planning, I feel like her stories could be improved.

An amazing beginning to a great series! Myla is a strong quasi-demon that enjoys fighting demons and evil spirits. She would rather battle at the arena than go to a school that brainwashes students to worship and serve.
When angels and demons notice her unbeatable strength, strange things start to unravel. She discovers secrets about her past and learns about her true destiny.
I enjoyed this more than Christina Bauer's Beholder series. I loved background between demons and angels. The characters were also easy to get attached to. The romance was light and safe for young adults. I can't wait to move on to the next book in the series.

Gilded Inferno was more enjoyable than Midnight Divine, but I still had issues with the main character. Ivy was disrespectful, stubborn, and selfish.

Besides her personality, I did like the story of her trying to save Solas. Although... it was annoying how she was able to make certain situations worse.
