Heaven & Hell #2

Pieces Of Heaven

Marissa
I didn’t want this life.

But sometimes you’re forced to make the best of the crappy hand you’ve been dealt. I wanted to teach my daughter that. No matter what happens you face your problems head-on.

Never cower. Never give up.

Then someone took her and I had to put my faith in a system that had failed me, and my hope in a man I didn’t know.

Mick
Serve. Honor. Protect, are the only things I’ve ever cared about until her case was dropped on my desk. As we searched for her missing daughter, the last woman I thought I’d fall in love with became my reason for living.

Then the world came crashing down around us.

One secret would change everything, but I had one more hand to be dealt. And if I played my cards right, maybe, just maybe we’d get our piece of heaven.

=================

I read some negative reviews from people who I trust the opinion, but as I read the blurb I was curious about the story.
I just like reading and the story got me hooked from start to finish.
We have a hero with a traumatic past that reflects in his actions and how he lives and relate to people.
He has an affair with a married woman for seven years and has hope that she leave her husband to be with him.
In the meantime he meets our heroine. Her daughter disappears, he is in charge of the investigation along with his partner.
The protective instincts of the hero appear with the situation and he feels attraction for our heroine and the two become involved during investigations.
In history we have police action, family drama and the discovery of true love and the bonds of friendship.
I haven't read the first book in the series and get the story perfectly.
I enjoyed and recommend.

I had to wait for this book through my library and it about killed me since I really wanted to know Mick’s story. After reading Heaven & Hell and getting a glimpse of Mick and Marissa I really needed their story.

Starting out with Mick and Sandie’s situation, I wasn’t sure I was going to like Mick. He seemed like he didn’t have the backbone necessary to be an alpha male but it didn’t take long for me to change my mind about him. I will say that guys are so dumb sometimes. DON”T hesitate men!!! IF there is a situation where you need to step in and put a stop to something then DO IT!!! Don’t just sit back with your thumb up your ass. Maybe it was necessary to have the drama in the story but I really feel like there was enough going on with Marissa and Lori that he could have stepped in sooner and shut it down. The story would have still been extremely interesting and full of surprises and twists.

Natasha, where is Chris’s story??? I want to know about him and if maybe there is something with Lori.

Where did this book come from? Where did this author come from? I can't get over how much I loved this book! It was a sexy and suspenseful little treat that had my eyes glued to page until the very end. From prologue to epilogue I was entranced by Marissa and Mick's story. PIECES OF HEAVEN had my heart racing, my chest aching, and my face smiling. I couldn't get enough.

"Let me make you happy. Fuck, let me be happy, too." My thumbs gently stroked her cheeks. "Please," I whisper my plea, hoping like hell she gives in to the inevitability of us.

Mick intrigued me from the very beginning. His gruff and stubborn demeanor was scary and sexy. He didn't make the best first impression on our heroine, but OH does he make up for it throughout the story. New to me author, Natasha Madison, wrote Marissa and Mick's story in a way where I felt every emotion each character was going through. The heartache, the lust, the rush, the suspense, everything was just flying off of every single page. This was a fast-paced, heart-pumping thrill ride full of tons of ups and downs. The emotional and sexual connection between the two main characters was on point and I devoured it whole-heartedly. Filled with twists and turns, PIECES OF HEAVEN will satisfy the romantic suspense lovers in all of us.

"Fucking perfect, that's what you are, fucking perfect and fucking mine."

Take a chance on this author. You will not be disappointed. If you think the book cover is hot, you have NO IDEA!

I didn’t like the beginning

I liked the book after MCs met and I loved the epilogue.

Welcome dilemma…

But, damn, there are much worse books with much worse heroes and weak whiny heroines, and cheating and and and

This one had a strong woman as a heroine and the hero was faithful to her.

So, I turn a blind eye to the beginning of the book and rate this one with 3.5 stars.

3.5 against-the-odds stars

I devoured the first book in this series, Hell and Back, and couldn’t wait to dive into Mick and Marissa’s story.

Just be warned that the two storylines do overlap, and the first half of this book is pretty much a retelling of the events of Hell and Back – though from Mick’s perspective and of course concentrating on his story. You can read this as a standalone, but just note that it will be spoilery for the first book, and if you plan on reading them both, start with book #1 first.

Mick is a hardass detective with few emotional connections other than his partner, Jackson, and his on-off lover, who just happens to be married to another man. He is dedicated to his job, though has a huge chip on his shoulder from his troubled upbringing, and he next expected his latest case to change everything.

Marissa is a single mother, and her 16 year old daughter is missing. Marissa has lived a hard life, but works hard to create a good life for herself and her daughter, teaching her that you need to face your problems and be responsible for your own happiness. Her world shattered when Lori disappeared, and now she has to put her faith in the detectives working Lori’s case if she has any hope of getting her back.

Mick and Marissa’s initial interactions aren’t exactly friendly but they feel a pull to each other, and despite the difficulties of their pasts and their drama of their lives they can’t stay away from each other and quickly find themselves feeling things that they never anticipated.

“This thing” – I point between me and her – “it’s fucking happening. I’m not fighting it anymore, and you aren’t going to fight it either. We both deserve to be fucking happy.

It all happens very quickly for them, and I admit I wasn’t feeling their relationship in those early stages, but as they grew closer and really started to let their feelings show, I was happily sucked into their blossoming romance.

“Let me make you happy. Fuck, let me be happy, too.” My thumbs gently stroke her cheeks. “Please,” I whisper my plea, hoping like hell she gives in to the inevitability of us.

They have a great relationship - open and honest, with no game playing. They like each other, they act on it and it’s both swoony and super passionate (and a little bit dirty), and their heartfelt declarations are gorgeous!

“I can’t make you promises till she comes home. Till I hold her in my arms again. I can’t let you into my heart because it’s shattered. It’s in pieces and the longer I’m without her, the harder it will be to put the pieces back together. Because you, Mick, you deserve my whole heart, and I can’t give that to you yet.”

“Let me be there for you, Marissa. Let me hold your hand, let me hold you, let me guard the pieces of your heart till she comes back. I’ll take them, one piece at a time, until I have the whole thing.”

But just when Mick and Marissa think that things are starting to settle for them, there are twists, surprises and even more drama as the past refuses to let Mick go and a new danger threatens their new-found happiness.

This book took me surprise. I was expecting a heart-felt, emotional love story, and I definitely got that, but I wasn’t expecting the direction that the second half of the book took. I like it when a book gives me something unexpected and I liked where this one was initially heading, but in this case I felt that the drama/mystery got a bit overwhelming, it was all very coincidental and it wasn’t really believable. There was enough going on in the story without dragging in even more twists and big reveals and I would have been happy without the additional ‘excitement’ because the love story and family drama is what carried the book for me. The love story (though fast-paced), is swoonily romantic and so freaking hot (Mick and Marissa are both dirty-talkers), and I love the intensity of them together.

“Fucking perfect, that’s what you are, fucking perfect and fucking mine.” I look into her eyes, hoping she sees all that I want to give. Hoping that she sees all of my own brokenness, wanting her to see my hope for us, willing her to see the love I want to give her.

But I did enjoy this book. I love Mick and Marissa together, , and that we got to see so much of Jackson, Bella and little Lilah, and I love that there is another storyline hinted at - if that ever becomes a book, I will be all over that. It ends in a really good place and I love the epilogue set years into the future showing us Mick and Marissa's HEA.

So yeah, a bit overwhelming in places, but still a good read – 3.5 stars.

When you read a book that is so good that every piece of your heart is touched, you give that book 10 stars. This book was beyond any expectation that I ever had for it. I laid my claim on Mick and I know that I will have lots of fights on my hands because EVERYONE, and I mean everyone, is going to want this man. He is absolutely perfect in every single way. You will read this book so quickly.
You will become an addict to these words that Natasha has so expertly put together. I have loved every book that she has written, but this one is by far my favorite. Hands down.

Mick is stuck in a rut. He has been holding out hope that this loser, Sandie, is going to leave her husband and be with him. She strings him along for so long that is considered normal for him. When Marissa walks into his life though, he will find out what true love really is. Thrust together while Mick is searching for Lori's missing daughter. He never stood a chance. These two were made for each other.

Marissa is a strong woman. I absolutely loved her character. When her daughter, Lori, disappears she will stop at nothing to get her back. She tries to fight those feelings for Mick, but their chemistry is too strong to deny.

Basically, what you're getting when you read this book, is not just a piece of heaven. Its all the pieces. This book was one hell of way to start the new year. It is an absolute must read.

Natasha has completed me. Oh MICK you are the Alpha we've been waiting for. If you LOVED Hell and Back wait until you get your hands on Pieces of Heaven.
Natasha has a way of ripping your heart out stomping all over it making you cry and then snuggling you up and making it all better. Seriously you feel everything these characters go through Joy Pain and all the in between.
Then when you least expect it BAM a twist... oh THE TWIST... it hits like a freight train and leaves you holding your breath in awe.
I would love to see how diabolical her mind is. This is one author to watch for and get your fingers to one clicking because she will blow you away. Yup that's right not one thing to give away of this story anyway its way better to dive in head first.

Pieces of Heaven was another outstanding read.

Marissa was struggling to survivor, dancing as a stripper to support her and her daughter Lori. Now, Lori is missing. When Mick and his partner show up, lets just say that their interaction leaves a lot to be desired. Mick fresh off a possible final straw break up with Sandie, a women who has strung him along for years, he is a douche his partner knows, Marissa knows it, hell even Mick knows it.

The more time Mick spends working the case and in Marissa's presence the more closeness he feels towards her. Soon he will want to protect her and find Lori as much as she does. With three girls missing now they need a break in the case. He MUST find her. It and she is in his blood.

While the hunt to find Lori is on the two with bond and grow closer. There are so many twist in this story...who took Lori, What will Sandie do?, who is coming into their lives and a whole lot more.

I thoroughly adore this book. Smooth writing, an interesting story, great characters and many twist.

Highly recommended book & series.

After reading Something so Right and Hell & Back I knew I enjoyed Natasha Madison’s writing.

There aren't enough stars to truly express how good this book really is. Pieces of Heaven was beautifully written, heartbreaking, gutwrenching and stunningly addictive.

The author made the character of Mick so enigmatic and interesting that it made this story even richer for me in much the same way that the details and the pacing does. You have to READ to get to know the characters and to appreciate the love story. Pieces of Heavenis a standalone but I will highly recommend that you read Hell& Back to enjoy fully #TheMadisonexperience.

In Pieces of Heaven , Marissa’s daughter has disappeared and Mick will leave no stone unturned until mother and daughter are reunited. Marissa reluctantly accept Mick’s help to start with, but as their relationship evolves, they become closer. Mick wants to make Marissa his but she is hesitant for so many reasons. It is not an understatement when I say that the odds are not in their favour.

“ We deserve fucking happy”

The writing is absolutely flawless and the dual POV make the story even more addictive and intriguing. Natasha Madison handled sensitive issues in such a delicate manner. The twists blew my mind away, this author knows how to manipulate her readers, and she is a genius! I was gobsmacked and then found myself grinning, thinking out loud “I cannot believe you did this to us, How come I never saw that one coming”. The plot was impressive.

Mick is without a doubt a HOT alpha but Natasha Madison’s Alphas are more than hot dudes, they have the full package. Mick is physically intimidating, he has a stubbornness about him that only make him even more attractive. I fell hard for Mick, there’s a vulnerability about him that, at times, made me want to weep and to bring him home to hug him and love him. I can't begin to tell you how much his wonderfully written character affected me.

"I’m the man who wants to believe her empty promises, I’m the man who wants the girl to finally pick him, and I’m the man who wants to believe that love conquers all. What the fuck is wrong with me?"

His relationship with Marissa is unique and intense- they crave love, they need love to forget that a world outside of themselves exist.

"words that make me feel wanted for the first time in my life.”

Marissa is an outstanding female heroine and this is one aspect of Natasha Madison’s writing that I like. Her female characters are never victims or submissive. Marissa is witty, spunky, sassy and strong as hell! I love her attitude, there is so much going on in her life but I admire her perseverance and determination.

”I can’t let you into my heart because it’s shattered. It’s in pieces and the longer that I stay without her the pieces crumble leaving me hollow.”

This book is everything you could ever want out of a book...And.... More... So much more. The story of Marissa and Mick is emotive and simply stunning. It says a lot about inner strength and commitment to people and life.

The way it made me feel, from the first page to the last, is why I read romance. I can't praise it enough. Hands down one of my most favourite books ever! Natasha Madison is unbelievable.

I stay till I feel whole again. I stay till Marissa smiling face makes me know that there are things worth it. That there are things worth working for. That there are things worth fighting for. I stay till I know I’m worth it, and I’m going to fucking show her how much she is worth it.

I , love, LOVED Pieces of Heaven!! It is an angsty emotional story that just broke my heart at times. But it also is such an amazing story of the strength and power of true love! It is a story that tells of the resilience of the human spirit even when there seems to be no hope.

“Let me be there for you, Marissa. Let me hold your hand, let me hold you, let me guard the pieces of your heart till she comes back. I’ll take them, one piece at a time, until I have the whole thing.”

Marissa is a strong heroine. She won't give up on finding her missing daughter even if she has to do it herself. She has been knocked down by life, but proves her strength of will and character by never giving up.
Mick has promised to serve and protect, but finds Marissa and her daughter mean more to him than a case. He is such an amazing character!! So caring and protective that I couldn't help but fall for him right along with Marissa!!!

"I can’t let you into my heart because it’s shattered. It’s in pieces."

Pieces of Heaven is book 2 in the Heaven & Hell series. Part of the story in Pieces of Heaven runs parallel to the story in Hell and Back, but this book is grittier with tons of heart-pounding action and suspense! I really got immersed into the story right from the start and didn't want to put it down for mundane things like eating and sleeping!!

4.5 Stars

I have been looking forward to Marissa and Mick since I finished Hell & Back. And it didn't disappoint.

The stories run concurrently, so there was some overlap, and the kidnapping story was resolved in the first book, so there was not the same tension around that as there would have been otherwise. From a plotting and story arc standpoint, I really liked this. Knowing the resolution of the situation from the 1st book allowed me to focus more on their relationship.

The book can be read as a standalone, however I would recommend reading the first in the series before reading this one, as knowing the events of the first one does impact the pacing of this story, and I think in order for this to work as well as the author intended, you need the insight given by the first book. That said, aside from some pretty big spoilers, there is no reason you are not able to read this as a standalone.

The writing was strong and I believed the characters and their actions. There was a bit more of the shock factor in this book than I was expecting, as I figured the surprises had all happened in the first book, but I was definitely wrong. The same shock factor that was in the first book was in this one as well.

I definitely recommend this book.

This is how I felt when I saw that Mick and Marissa had their own book

Mick was Jackson's partner and he has been in a very dysfunctional relationship with a married women who has been promising to leave her husband for the last seven years. OMG I wanted to freaking bitch smack Sandie every freaking time she showed up at his place.

And then he met Marissa when her daughter was kidnapped and he and Jackson were looking into the case. When he first met Marissa Mick was being a total douche, and he couldn't understand why. Until he figured out he was attracted to her. But Marissa was a strong women he looked after herself and her daughter since her sleazy boyfriend left them and she didn't let him walk all over her.
But she couldn't deny the attraction she felt to Mick either.

These two characters both had their own hurts and own issues but Mick was determined to make them both happy. First he was going to find Lori, Marissa's daughter and then he was going to take Marissa's heart and he was going to make her happy

But things never go according to plan. First there was bitchy Sandie that just didn't want to take NO for an answer. There was finding Lori and then getting her back to the way she was before she was kidnapped. But there was also other unknown forces that he didn't know of that was trying to take their happiness away

I loved this book, from the start Mick captured me and drew me in. I was a bit hesitant because of the whole Sandie situation, I mean really Mick just leave her. But once he saw that it was never going to happen he got rid of her and devoted himself to Marissa. I also loved that its not just a romance story, it had drama, murder, suspense and so many other things happening.

Awesome Awesome Story! And this author just keeps getting better and better

Btw... Will Lori and Chris get a story!!!!!!

5 Stars!

Natasha Madison is back with her third novel ever and let me tell you something... this chick can write her a$$ off. I loved her debut novel, and then I fell even harder for the first book in this Heaven and Hell series. But this book? Best she has written to date with tons of emotions, passion, and intensity.

Pieces of Heaven was an intense, fast-paced, romantic, captivating, and suspenseful novel that kept me on the edge of my seat from cover to cover. This book wrapped itself around my heart and stole a piece by the time it was over... and those pages quit turning.

Marissa and Mick... their journey is here and man what a story it was. It wasn't easy and these two had to fight... push. Right from the start, Natasha draws you in. Mick is the kind of guy you swoon for and lean on when times are tough. Marissa is the kind of girl you want fighting for you in your corner. Together, these two were amazing with undeniable chemistry and a pull to each other that neither could deny. I fell hard and fast for them.

If you like suspense, steam, and intensity, then grab up this book though I recommend reading book one for maximum enjoyment.

I highly recommend this book.

WOW! This book was the PERFECT romantic suspense for me! We met Mick and Marissa in Hell and Back, but I had no idea what was in store for these characters. I was addicted right from the prologue and could NOT put this book down.

Mick had a sad childhood, largely contributing to the (almost) solitary life he chooses to live now. The way he puts up with his ex’s treatment of him is something you don’t really see with romantic heroes, but he was no less alpha at the same time. It was a fascinating dynamic.

Marissa is a fantastic heroine. She’s strong and fierce, but passionate and vulnerable at the same time. As a single mother with a missing teenage daughter, you’d think SHE would be the needy one, but as the story unfolds, you see that Mick is the one who needs HER. She’s the balm to his hurtful and tragic past.

This story is fast-paced and gripping, with unexpected twists and turns guaranteed to have your jaw dropping. At one point, I was compelled to send a message to the author that simply said, “MIND. BLOWN.” This is THE book to bring you out of a book funk, and it still amazes me that this is only the author’s third book!

Well done Ms. Madison! I want more books on the other characters!

Marissa's daughter Lori has been kidnapped and Mick is assigned to the case. Right off the bat he is judgmental because Marissa works as a stripper. Marissa was dealt a crappy hand and is trying to do the best for her daughter. Mick and Marissa do get together but I didn't feel the connection. There was no growth or development. Plus there was drama from one of Mick's friends with benefit who couldn't take the hint. To be honest it wasn't needed. The storyline with the daughter and who she was kidnapped by was lackluster. I was expecting more and was left unsatisfied. Then there was a twist at the end that was just silly and had me scratching my head. After reading Hell and Back I was so excited to read about Mick and Marissa. Sadly this book just didn't work for me at all and I didn't feel the same way.

I was so curious to read Pieces Of Heaven and to find out Mick's story and I wasn't disappointed.
This was an emotional ride and I was so caught up with the story I've finished it in one sitting.

Mick is a great Hero you cannot not to fall for and to hope he finds some true love and happiness in his messy life.

I really hope to read more about these characters maybe in another book of the Heaven & Hell series.

Don't miss this beautifully written story!I suggest you to start to read this series from the first book because these two books are heavily interwined.

This is the first book I've read by this author and it wasn't too bad. Mick was a guy being strung along by a selfish woman that refused to give him up. Marissa was a strong heroine that didn't put with crap.

I gave it 3 stars based on Mick & Marissa relationship; but it would have been less if it was with the selfish woman and it could have been a 5 if she wasn't so damn involved.

5 Sexy and Hot Mick Stars!!

ARC Generously Provided by the Author

This is the second book in the Heaven & Hell series by Natasha Madison. I love Mick when I read Hell Back, he is a really hot sexy man who unfortunately has a really bad romantic situation, I have to said since the beginning I hate Sandie so much!! She is a really selfish person. Then we meet Marissa, a woman who is living a difficult situation because her daughter is missing, and she is doing everything she can to find her, so that’s why Mick and Marissa meet each other, Mick and Jackson are in charge of the case of Marissa’s daughter.

At first Marissa and Mick have a bad beginning, because Marissa works as a stripper and Mick has a bad memory from his childhood with this, but then he understands that Marissa works in that business because she’s doing that to provide everything for her daughter and that’s makes Mick see Marissa in a different way, as a great woman who is a single mom for her daughter and that she will do anything to have her daughter and makes her happy, I think this is one of the things that makes Mick fell in love with her.

At the same time she fells in love with Mick but she is honest with him and tell that she can’t love him completely until she has her daughter with her, this was for me really beautiful because Marissa clearly shows that her daughter is the most important thing in her life.

So they start a relationship and after a really difficult situation they found Lori and together helps her to overcome the bad experience that the girl lived. Everything looks really good for them, until one moment Sandie appears again and with a news that changes everything for Mick and Marissa, so they broke up and each one is real miserable with this situation, but after some days they discover that Sandie is a liar and finally she is out of their lives.

Finally after all these terrible situations they start to have their happy ending, they have a little family with Lory and I think here could be a third book or at least that’s something I really hope.

This is the third book of Natasha and I have to say this is my favorite so far! Is an amazing book, definitely a book that you must to read! It has drama, suspense and of course romance!!! I read this book in one day because once I started t oread it I coudn’t put it away!

Congrats Natasha for this amazing story! Can’t wait for read your next book! Please let it be Chris’s book!

On the heels of her debut novel, the sports-themed romcom Something So Right, Natasha Madison has released two back-to-back romantic suspense novels in her riveting Heaven & Hell series, Hell and Back and this book, Pieces of Heaven. If you haven’t read anything by her or you’ve only read her debut, this series will genuinely shock and surprise you with the depth of emotion she packed into the intricate plot while still managing not to overshadow what was also a beautiful love story. Technically, Pieces of Heaven can be read on its own, but it picks up where Hell and Back leaves off and there is some overlapping between the two books. For that reason, I strongly suggest reading Hell and Back first for a much more vivid experience.

I’ll be honest, I went into this book not really sure if I liked the hero, Mick. He was impatient, curt and obstinate, vacillating between being a good guy to a doormat to a total jerk sometimes. His childhood was truly awful and clearly marked him as he’s still very much nursing those wounds. Despite what’s he been through, or perhaps because of it, there was a certain vulnerability to him that ultimately drew me in and had me wanting to know more about him. Once Madison started peeling back his layers, he dialed back the attitude, and a caring and loyal man who was not only capable of genuine love but also able to give it selflessly emerged. It was an almost startling transformation, and I definitely sat up and took notice, doing a complete one-eighty from not really liking this character to absolutely adoring him.

Marissa was no doormat heroine. She was fierce, and in spite of the rotten hand that life had dealt her, she still managed to be a strong and independent single mother. She didn’t hesitate to go toe-to-toe with Mick, and I think that it was her sassy attitude, coupled with the sheer determination with which she tackled the many challenges thrown at her were what drew Mick to her. As this relationship was blossoming, Marissa was in the throes of every mother’s worst nightmare. I felt her devastation, her panic, her worry, and this part of the story affected me deeply. But there was still so much more that was yet to unfold, and this is where Madison’s deviously creative mind truly begins to shine. There were so many twists, turns and surprising developments as the plot began to unfold. It was exciting, intriguing and shocking to read, especially since I absolutely did not see these things coming or where each revelation was leading. This was a truly ambitious plot for such a new author to not only conceptualize, but to also execute, and Madison nailed it.

Although the author snuck in some well-timed moments of levity to lighten up some of the heavy topics that were part of this story, this was a dark and sometimes hard-to-take tale. Even still, Madison managed to weave a sexy and beautiful soul-healing love story into this highly emotional, gut-wrenching and heart-breaking story. This was such a multi-faceted story, there was so much going on, I was impressed with not only the author’s creativity in devising such a detailed plot but also the way she juggled it all without missing a beat and pulled everything together. Natasha Madison’s Pieces of Heaven gets five smooches from me!

With Pieces of Heaven, Natasha Madison has become an auto-click author for me in one fell swoop! Can I just say, right here, right now, that Mick has laid claim to my heart and I in turn claim HIM as my own! I'm also claiming Marissa as my BFF because she's just THAT cool!

At first, I wasn't at all sure I would even LIKE Mick, let alone fall head-over-heels in love with him! I thought he was just too much. Too much of a pr@*k (especially when he meets Marissa for the first time), too much of a doormat (in regards to Sandie, who HAS to be THE most despicable character I think I have ever met, and could I be the one to off her? PLEASE??!!), but as I got to know and understand him, Mick seriously grew on me...all his Alpha sexiness had me drooling and swooning all over the place!

I loved Marissa right from the get-go! She's such a strong, sassy, kick-butt single Mom who has been dealt the lowest hand in life, but she has the spirit and spunk to not let it get her down! I so admire her for her fortitude and her fearless attitude when her teenage daughter Lori goes missing...she doesn't let the less-than-stellar treatment she gets from a certain Detective get in the way of her finding the truth about Lori's disappearance.

This story takes you on an emotional, gut-wrenching roller coaster ride, with some major twists that you won't see coming! There are times when you will tear your hair out with the suspense, times when you'll want to rip out a heart or two with your bare hands, but there are also times you will be swooning at the tenderness and love and changing panties because of the super HOTTTTT sex scenes (piercings and all ;) )

I cannot recommend this book highly enough! A definite MUST READ...you will not be disappointed

I could not wait to read Pieces of Heaven and let me say Natasha did not disappoint. This is a great read that I highly recommend.

We get a glimpse of Marissa and Mick in Hell and Back, Book #1 in the Heaven & Hell series. While you do NOT need to read the first book, I would still recommend reading it simply because that too is a great story.

Mick is all alpha male and someone you definitely want to get to know. He's tough, brooding and has a heart of gold although he comes off gruff and rude at times. Marrisa's character is so strong and that is what I love most about her. She's not ashamed of her life and is doing all she can to raise her daughter to succeed in life. Mick feels a connection to Marissa and wants to take care of her while they're looking for her missing daughter.

As they work together to find Lori, it becomes clear the two have a connection. The chemistry and passion between Marissa and Mick becomes very, very hot, so be prepared to be fanning yourself when these two are together.

It's clear the road to HEA is going to be bumpy for these two and you are fighting for them every step of the way. Just when you think you have all the answers and know where the story is heading, Natasha throws in twists and turns you are completely blind-sided by. It is impossible to put this down because you are there with the characters as they fight to regain happiness. I'm in for the long haul with this author and her fantastic storytelling.

Add this to your TBR! #Mick

Book started with the hero leaving a woman he just had sex with to going home & having more sex with his 7 year girlfriend who is married to someone else. Once you move pass that the suspense will keep you reading trying to find the heroine’s daughter. I didn’t like how the hero & heroine got together because at a time like that a relationship would be the last thing any parent is thinking of plus there weren’t much chemistry. At 75% we get a predictable change of events involving the ex girlfriend. Towards the end of the book we get another strange twist that was so left field I was pretty confused. Also a loose end of questions like what is happening between Chris (a detective) and marissa’s daughter. Last I check she was 16 😳😳....Anyways this was mostly MEH!
