The gripping conclusion of the bestselling Fire and Ice Trilogy!

I'd thought the threat from Seattle was finished. That we showed up in time and took care of business.

I hate being wrong. It really ruins my day.

When Roger, the alpha of the North American pack, shows up at my door with the news that a demon has made it to the Underworld with knowledge of me, some hard decisions have to be made.

Do I stay above ground, with all my magical friends, and wait for the battle to come to me? Or do I seek the demon out, and pluck the threat out by the root?

I don’t want my friends to die on my behalf. I could never life with myself. But if I venture into the Underworld, it’ll be the most perilous journey of my life.

This time, it isn’t just my life hanging in the balance, it is my eternity.

What a waste of time! There was barely a plot. So much time was spent aimlessly wandering around in the Dark Kingdom. There was action, but it was boring. The fight scenes weren't exciting because most of the bad guys randomly popped up, and clearly they were not going to be the winners. It was blatantly obvious how much Reagan does not think things through. She caused more trouble every time she tried to prevent it.

None of the major issues involving Reagan's family were resolved. This was the end of the trilogy, so it wasn't highly illogical of me to assume there would have been a resolution. It was very disappointing. New issues arose in the last half of this book that were left completely unresolved. Why bring up things in the final book if nothing is going to happen as a result? Reagan's mom was mentioned a lot towards the end. Almost made me think she's not really dead, but who knows since nothing happened. WTH was the point of the vampire secret? Was it just there to hint at future we'll never read about at least in regards to these characters?

At the end the author said she's not done with this world. It was clear we'd see Reagan and Darius again, but in what capacity? Books 1 & 2 were much better than this, but they certainly weren't highly original UF. I have no interest in reading more after this book. I'm not going to waste my time reading another trilogy set in this world on the off chance things will be resolved in the end.

Includes spoilers. The 3rd volume in Fire and Ice Trilogy was, well, not much. I know that the trilogy is part of a bigger universe but we do not see much of a conclusion in this one. Actually, not much happens to move the plot forward. Reagan and her vampire travel to hell to try to stop her father finding out about her. They do some sightseeing, kill a few monsters and then they return. Not accomplishing anything. Also, many times I realized that the plot does not make a lot of sense. The Graphic Audio production was amazing, as always, but it was not enough to save the book.

Well… That was a letdown…

At the end of the second book, Reagan sent a demon that was mostly dead back to the underworld. There is now a rumor that he did not die and since he knows Reagan’s true identity, he could reveal it to Lucifer. Reagan is willing to do whatever it takes to destroy this demon and every other demon who is aware of her existence to make sure that her identity remains secret. Reagan and Darius are now getting ready to go to the underworld to track down the demon, even if it means entering Lucifer’s realm and risking crossing paths with other powerful and dangerous demons.

I don’t know what’s with me and this series but I struggled SO MUCH to get into this one. I feel that Reagan and Darius spent half of the book wandering aimlessly in the Dark Kingdom, there was not much of a plot besides trying to squash the rumors about Reagan’s existence before Lucifer heard about it. The fact that most of this book happens in Hell was promising, but it did not feel all that hellish… It was mostly illusions and weird brain tricks and I found myself struggling to continue. It just dragged on and on.

There were a few action scenes and a few fights, but it was always the same: a random evil creature popping out of nowhere, Reagan rushing into things without thinking, Darius letting her do all the work, and no stress at all for the reader because we knew that Reagan would end up destroying the enemy no matter what they threw at her.

Reagan started the series as a badass, kickass bounty hunter full of sass and snark, and ended up being a pushover that lets Darius decides what they should do, and ends up doing whatever he wants, even when she tells him no many times. I wanted her to stand up for herself and also to think! She’s a super-powerful half-demon, daughter of Lucifer and she acts like a teenager with no responsibility at times. She is too spontaneous and does not think things through. For a character that holds such power, it was annoying to see how irresponsible she could be.

A smart girl would’ve run away screaming. A sane girl would’ve kept her distance. Clearly, I was neither of those because I just couldn’t get enough. The man in him was like a disease without a cure—he ate away at me until I had no option but to submit. He was a sickness I loved to hate.

The romance aspect is neglected too. There are a few moments where we can see that Reagan and Darius have feelings for each other, but their whole dynamic mostly felt identical to the previous books. It did not feel as if they’d been in a serious relationship for a few weeks. At all. It’s as if the “romance” was there just so the characters would have an excuse to have some sex. It was not believable. There were some cheesy lines thrown in there for effect, but I did not feel the chemistry between Darius and Reagan, and I honestly still don’t care about Darius. The fact that he has no personality does not help either.

This book is also the end of the trilogy, and I feel that many mysteries revolving around Reagan’s family and her powers are still not really resolved or explained. I still have many questions about Reagan’s mom and I’m also wondering what was the point of discovering Vlad’s secret machinations to turn Darius into a vampire. Why? What was the point? The information was put there, but not developed or used in the plot…

“Why are we wearing these things, Dizzy? It flops down and then I can barely see. That’s got to be more dangerous than not wearing one.”
“Remember the last time?” he asked, his voice rising. “Reagan exploded our spell and blasted us.”
“I fell on my butt that time. Not my head.” Callie adjusted the satchel draped around her shoulder and across her chest. “Give me a butt guard if you’re so concerned.”
“You need a mouth guard,” he muttered, bending back the flap on his own satchel so ingredients and spells were easily reached.

I was also sad that there was not more of Callie and Dizzy in this book. I really enjoy them both and they always make me smile. Also, I feel that there was energy spent on developing their characters and their relationship with Reagan in the first two books, only to push them away in this third book. Once Reagan and Darius enter the Dark Kingdom, it’s all about the two of them. No more Dizzy and Callie, no more important side characters.

Overall the first book was not so bad and I did enjoy the second book, but the third one was a big disappointment and I had to force myself to finish it because I had made it so far in the series.

Fused In Fire is book three in the Fire and Ice Trilogy by K.F. Breene. It’s full of action, adventure, and demons.

This novel completes Reagan and Darius’s story ARC.

Reagan & Darius head down to the underworld to wipe out any demons who know of her ties to her father. It was interesting to see the hell Breene created. The author created one scene that was at a circus which was a bit weird.

I enjoy the characters in this series and the author has done an excellent job of weaving her lore into the story. Reagan is a kick-ass heroine and I enjoyed her strong and independent strengths. Darious is the powerful vampire. He’s a lot nicer and much more lovable than when the series started.

We do get some questions answered, but we do have a few things left opened. The author does hint at a possible later series in which a few open arcs might be closed.

I will say times the story felt like filler material especially when the leads are in hell. I enjoyed reading and complete the romance.

Fused In Fire concludes and I’m sad for it to end, but it was an exhilarating ride. This trilogy is intense and bing worthy. For now we are done with Reagan and Darius, but there is more to come and maybe we will revisit this couple at a later time. I’m looking forward to read on into the Demon Days & Vampire Nights World.

Nooooooo it can't be over 😢😭. I want more of Reagan and Darius. Not just as side characters in books to come, but as main characters. I love this series. I want more.

Ok so I'm finished with my temper tantrum now 😂

This book is the last of this trilogy. It's good, and I really liked it.

Think I need a few days to process and then write the review.

5 – I didn’t want this series to end Stars!
There was something about Reagan that I just fell in love with. She was so freaking funny! I don’t know if it was because she was so badass, independent or the fact that she could look a dragon in the face while attempting not to die and deadpan “Blink once if you are being held prisoner,” Or maybe it was right in the middle of battle she used a Scarface quote? No, no I know what it was, it was her reference from Babe “That’ll do, pig. Or maybe the fact that she was so damn honest! “Of course they follow me! What do you think I am, subtle?” I can’t even…
description
I am still undecided on Darius though… He is all and powerful Elder Vampire who can shred Daemons with his claws… Then he says stuff like “Here we go, my dearest. I love you.”“Goodbye, my love.” And even though Reagan was like Nope, I am still awkwardly confused by him.
Reagan is definitely one of my favorite fictional characters. She was always funny and crazy, but halfway into this book I felt like I was laughing A LOT more. I liked that we got away from some of the other characters and got to focus more on Reagan and Darius.
That ending! SQUEEEEE! I was so flipping excited. I was also angry, angry because I kept looking down at my % left in the book. 15% left??? That is it???
“Aren’t you going to change?” he asked. “I smell drunk and look crazy. Trust me. My appearance is the first line of defense.”

“Number one, only James Bond wears a suit when going into battle. Number two, I got this. Just follow along and don’t get burned.” I kicked the door open. “Lucy, I’m home!”

Book 3 of the 11 interconnected entries in the Fire and Ice series lagged in what should have been one of the most exciting settings so far.

At the end of the last book, Reagan was feeling pretty good about sending a nearly destroyed demon back to the underworld. But instead of a DOA monster arriving back, it's spreading word about an heir of Lucifer hiding in the human world. Dammit, Reagan can't have that - her life will never belong to her if her father realizes she exists!

What's a girl to do? Nothing drastic, unless you consider bonding yourself to a vampire for eternity drastic. And bringing him with you on a journey through hell to kill a loose-lipped demon once and for all.

Most of the book takes place in hell, which sounds like it will be pretty good. Somehow, it just got kind of stupid after Darius and Reagan get to the river. A lot of what they see are illusions, and apparently Lucifer has a thing for flowers and goats eating grass. The two start encountering sects related to different sins, and the first one is set up just like a circus with clowns, annoying music and big top tents.

A little too weird, and not hellish enough. Yes, I know - circus, but still.

The read was okay, and I'll continue the series, but it just wasn't as interesting as the prior books.

A complete waste of time!

I have trouble deciding what is the worst aspect of the book - crappy ending, the annoying heroine, the jerk of a hero or absolutely unbelievably worst thought of romance!

Man! What was the plot? Why did you write three books? Where was the character development? Where was the story line?

It is books like these that confuse stalker-ish behavior with courting, obsession and greed for power with affection and sex with love! In my opinion, this book had no redeeming qualities.

I might have to bump this one up to five stars. I've read it twice since it came out three days ago.

This is not just a trilogy.
This is the start of a series. I don't know which direction Breene will take the next book but these first three are entirely about Reagan. Peripheral characters are vivid and fully capable of supporting a story on their own in my opinion.
Reagan has a secret & immense power.
Book 1 is finding out who she actually is and explaining her power. Book 2 is her fight to remain hidden and a sex/romance interest beginning.
This book is her & Darius journeying into (hell) the Dark Kingdom to silence a demon that knows her secret.
Dizzy & Callie make appearances before and after the journey.
Reagan makes a huge stride in the use of her powers.

This series is fantastic. I SO enjoy K.F. Breene.
Excellent trilogy. No cliffhanger, but she promises more to come. Definitely absolutely check this trilogy out.

This was the least favorite out of the three. I really liked the first 30% of the book because it had a lot of dialogue and movement I was also curious to see when Darius and Reagan would blood bond, because come on, it’s was going to happen.

When Darius and Reagan go into the underworld, well that’s when things got a little too descriptive for me. I usually like journey stories. You know, you have one goal and the goal is to get to the place you need to go and the journey is the story. I usually like to read these books, but for the life of me, I didn’t like it here.

I felt the trip to the underworld was kind of long, kind of too descriptive and kind of boring. It was also hard to follow the movements because it was just too much action going on. I rather read more vampire / demon politics and I was highly disappointed we didn’t get any Lucifer time, what a let down.

Overall, I really enjoyed the series because of the relationship between Darius and Reagan. I liked that Reagan is tough, funny and she’s her own person. I love reading a book where the Hero chases after the Heroine and this world building was pretty fun to read.

It was a good end, a little boring, but good regardless.

Lots of action in here and the fantasy is fabulous!

Still not happy with Reagan, reading her with Darius feel like watching a patience Dad with his toddler daughter having a tantrum.
What is in her mind and anything came out from her mouth sounds childish and juvenile!
It sound weird for a kickass heroine like this.

I compare her with Elena in term having thousands years old mate, she failed miserably!
I compare her with Nevada in term of maturity and how she handle her responsibility, Reagan was fail too.

She even more bonkers than Shanti!
Shanti still my number one Ms. Breene's heroine 😘.

So why still got 4 stars?
The storyline and the actions is awesome, Reagan is really a fantastic fighter and her craziness made this story a non stop kickass action.
And Darius!
Gosh, this vampire's patience in handling Reagan's temper just incredible and he made me feel less grumpy toward her.
If Darius crazy in love with that kiddo, why should I complained about her? Lol 😂

So, this trilogy finished.
But there will be more story in this fantasy land.
Whose books next?
Penny
Roger
Vlad
Or that Natural Mage who Darius met?
Hm..:)

4☆ now that I have had time to process. I’m so sad this series is over omg. Again this was another great read. ᡣ𐭩 Dark Daddy Darius ᡣ𐭩 enough said.

This had such potential to have a few subplots that would leave your jaw swinging in a playground but they said SIKE. I meannnnnn an interaction with Reagan’s papi👀 let me not get started on towards the 90% mark i was in a constant state of clenching my asshole thinking it was gonna kick off. Alas it did not.

Was the reason for going to the underworld said or is it just me? Idk

The whole thing with Vlad. Erm, personally what on earth was the point? Glad he got a slice of fearful humble pie tehe.

Heart broken.....that is how I feel after finishing this book. Why? Because it is over 💔

This series brought me the most recent exhilarating ride! And friends I buckled up and read all three books back to back to back. I have zero regrets. It was worth not sleeping.

I’m gonna keep this short to not give anything away.

Phenomenal storyline and world. Epic MC and FMC. Lots of laughs due to perfectly penned sarcasm. Action packed. Shocking. Sweet. Hot.

Friends this is such a great series. Do yourself a favor and pick it up ❤️

Happy reading,

Ehhh

So I was very excited to get this book. Then I read it and I was very let down by it. I frankly found all the running around the underworld dull and kinda boring. That was probably 75%. Then it was over and I was left feeling unsatisfied. There better be more bc it can't end there. There were some funny moments and witty one liners to break up the action. But for me it wasn't enough. I just wanted the book to be over. Here's to hoping there will be future books with the same magic of the first two in this trilogy.

Reagan and Darius are getting closer now, and things are getting complicated. When they realize that the demons might be aware of her, she knows there is only one option she must do. But, that will involve having Darius closer than she ever imagined.

These two must work together in order to keep her secret safe.
But will they succeed?

This book was really very good, and it would have been five starts if it had actually really concluded things. I know there is a spin off with these characters having a part in it as well, but I feel like this just wasn't finished. And we technically never really figure out exactly what she is. Other than that, I loved the action and adventure in this one, and of course, the romance as well. I do look forward to seeing these characters again.

Cannot be read as a standalone.

Still a great book, but slightly disappointing. The story is mainly about Reagan and Darius entering the underworld to make sure that the demons don't find out about her existence. Darius doesn't quite shine here and sort of takes a back seat in this 3rd book.

I was looking forward to a different plot and storyline. Maybe something about the other vampire that Reagan had a short relationship with.

Anyways, all I can hope for is another book about Reagan and Darius. Things just feel a bit unfinished.

I'm not quite sure how I felt about this series...

Would I read more from K.F. Breene? Yup I can see that happening.

Did I enjoy this? Maybe the action from the first book? Cause I know I never saw the "romance" and I still say it was so absolutely forced it's ridiculous. Now the action dwindled each book until this one just fell flat. I mean what was the point? These two did nothing in the demon realm, everything was already arranged for them by someone else.

War to distract the demon so they can sneak in/out? Check!
A guide so they don't lose their way and actually return to the Brink? Check!
Avoid Satan all together so nothing actually happens in the book? Double Check!!

As much as I like Fire and Ice Trilogy this final book didn't live up, in plots, to the fun of the first 2 book. More than half of the book was spent in Reagan and Darius venturing into the Dark Kingdon where they fight and claw their way in and out. And it was the Dark Kingdom that disappointed me because the cause, the fights, and the world building were boring. It seemed like Breene concentrated on Reagan's funny banter than plots. Plus Darius was somewhat changed into New Darius that I don't like....though he did come back a little in the end. Anyway, it was still packed with action and good camaraderie which I enjoyed.

I enjoyed it, but ... I don't know. I feel like, for being the end of the trilogy, nothing was really resolved. We don't know why Darius got his humanity back. We don't know how much the Mage Guild was onboard with the unicorn-draining demon summoning. But mostly, I feel really ripped off that she didn't meet her father - he seems like a more complicated character than just a flat villain, in the same way that the underworld was a more complicated place.

And Vlad ... the resolution with him was equally anticlimactic.

It's done, and mostly I feel kind of meh about it.
