Vadin Labont is on a mission. He has been dispatched by his Vampire Coven Master to eliminate a rogue vampire who has broken every vampire code and has risked exposing vampire society to the human world. Florian Chamberlin sewed destruction wherever he went and earned the ire of the Dragons of Clan Keith in Laramie, risking the safety and good name of the Chamberlin Coven. With the permission of the Clan Keith Chieftain Calum Keith, Vadin and his two men are on the hunt for the rogue vampire and will not fail in their mission. What Vadin isn’t expecting is to find his beloved, his fate chosen love in the Clan Keith Lodge. Kyle Keith is everything Vadin never even knew he was dreaming of, a strong and intelligent Dragon Warrior. However, Vadin is pulled in two directions. He wants to claim his beloved and begin their life together, but he must find and destroy the dangerous rogue vampire before he strikes again. Vadin has secrets in his past that leave him vulnerable, and he wonders how can possibly hold it all together. When Kyle’s life hangs in the balance, will Vadin reveal himself and save his beloved?
It’s been two years since one of the Clan Keith last found their mate. In that time the Clan has taken ownership of Laramie, Wyoming and have begun creating a sustainable and permanent life here in the High Plains of Wyoming. Kyle is eager to find his mate and wonders just who might be around the corner waiting for him. When the rogue Florian Chamberlin comes back to town, and the Chamberlin Coven comes to deal with him, Kyle is shocked to find his mate at the Vampire Master’s side. Vadin Labont is every inch a warrior and Kyle can’t take his eyes off the beautiful dark-skinned man. Using his tech skills, he finds out his mates deepest secrets, something that will come back to cause friction between him and his new love. Kyle will soon find himself in the greatest danger of his long life, and his only hope may be the dark-skinned man and his hellhound ancestry. Can Vadin save Kyle in time? Can a dragon love a hellhound?
Fate doesn’t make mistakes and love will always find a way.

B.A Stretke began writing as a hobby. He read his first Jane Austen novel as a teen and was instantly hooked. The age-old dream of being a novelist took hold. Now long into adulthood, and a few years as an editor under his belt, B.A. is a full-time writer. B.A. spends his days reading, engaging in sarcasm, and plotting the next storyline, often leaving little headspace for much else. He loves hiking through the Northern Michigan woods he calls home, often finding inspiration for his books. Writing and finding that perfect cup of coffee occupy the rest of his time.
B.A. Stretke lives in Northern Michigan with one royally spoiled cat and his dear friends and family.
The series needs a very thorough edit, there are so many typos and inconsistent facts about the characters. But it is good enough to read when you can’t decide on anything else to start. Nothing special, easy, clichèd plotlines, but m/m in any form is welcome! ;)
The leader of the rogue vampires that escaped when his entire gang were destroyed shows up in Laramie after two years. Both the coven in Jackson and the dragons want him dead. The coven master pays a visit to the dragons to ask permission to eliminate the rogue vampire who was once a member of his coven. Along with the coven master is his second, Vadin a most unusual vampire. The dragon chieftain gives them three days to do the job and then they will do it themselves. Turns out Vadin is a hellhound vampire mix and is the mate to one of the dragons. Things don't go smoothly for our new couple or finding the rogue but after danger, love and stolen magic a new cooperative union between both clan and coven is sealed.
One of my favorite things about BA Stretke’s books is that he always combines some of the most fascinating pairings. Kyle and Vadin were both such dominant shifters that I was wondering how that would work, but I thought that it worked out beautifully.
The ties between Clan Keith and the Chamberlain Coven look like they will be getting even stronger in future books.
These dragons were so strong yet full of heart and the hellhound/vampire (Vadin) was also a very unique and fascinating character to learn about. Kyle (dragon) was Vadin's mate and beloved. The story was totally gripping and I was definitely pulled into the plot. There were a few typos but nothing that hindered the storyline in any way. I love what happened to the villain and the ending was so sweet. Excellent.
I love it when paranormals mix and B.A. Stretke makes it seem so seamless. The dragon clan is now mixing with a vampire coven that has a hellhound/vampire member. It is a great continuation of the storyline and leaves plenty of direction for future books.
An extremely fast read, which is a little sad because some of these characters deserve so much more than is being given to them. With that being said there are more grammatical errors in this book than in previous ones that make the reader pause and lose the flow of the story. The author really needs a few friends to read this before publishing.
3,5 Sterne aufgerundet.
This series gets better as you read the books. All the dragons live in one huge compound so you get to see how the other couples are doing, you get to meet the rest, and new characters. This one is amazing, keeps you on your toes and as the others, sexy beautiful and steamy. HEA always.
This book is a good read. A little unexpected but good none the less. I'm curious about t he next book to see what will transpire between James and Augustine, seems like a match. Keep them coming B.A. Can't wait for the next book
It's a great follow-up and I'm loving the diversity without all the race, and stereotypical hangups. Wish it was longer and the relationship between the MC's was more developed.....we had to pay for this one after all.
I liked Apex and heart of the Dragon but I loved : Loving the Hellhound. Hope the next installment for this series comes out in the next month or so.. Great writing, keep up the awesome work.
What I love about this author is all the quirky personalities. You don’t get the same boring characters each time. It did make you wonder who Antoni, Nef, Rule and Mace’s mate’s are.
Another good read by this author. Although the stories seen to be getting shorter. I do like this series and hope there will be others, just a little more story😙.
I like BA stretke.the stories are entertaining and characters interesting.not terribly vulgar or repetitious.good paranormal reads from a variety of creatures.
Love this author's stories, the word count may be lower, but what is there is exciting, sexy and just fun. These are my go-to's when I need a break. Reommend reading.
