When another body shows up in Western Woods, Tina is very happy to leave this investigation to Chief Inspector King. There's only one problem: no one knows where she is.
With the law enforcement head missing, and the victim a local witch, the coven of Jupiter is extremely upset. Tina and her friends immediately take action, deciding to solve the murder on their own, and hoping that Chief Enforcer King shows up again sooner rather than later.
But the deeper they get into the investigation, the more the disappearance and the murder seem linked, and the more dangerous things get for the four witches. And Tina might be imagining it, but she's pretty sure Kyran is avoiding her.
Will Tina and her friends get to the bottom of these mysterious happenings before it's too late?
Three's a Coven is the third book in the Western Woods mystery series of full-length, humorous paranormal cozy mystery novels.
Samantha Silver lives in British Columbia, Canada, along with her husband and seventeen-year-old dog named Terra.
When she's not writing cozy mysteries, Samantha loves travelling (she's most recently been to Egypt, Jordan and Florida) skiing, eating Dairy Queen, and complaining about how hard running is.
A very entertaining urban fantasy series. The supernatural world is intermingled into packets of our world. Our characters live in a small town in the state of Washington near Seattle. They can move through portals to other supernatural towns all over the world. Follow along our great cast of characters as they solve mysteries get into trouble and find their way out of the trouble. Three witches that are from the supernatural town and one which who just recently found out she was a witch and was living in Seattle and accidentally stumbled into a portal that brought her to the supernatural town where she now lives and is learning how to be a witch. Which is wizards vampires shifters fairies and all types of supernatural beings. Check it out it was an entertaining and fun series
Allusive instead of elusive. Invasive instead of evasive. A failure to understand the descriptors she's chosen.. Obelisk is not a rounded rock..
It's irritating that editing hasn't picked up on it.. just spell checking isn't enough.. you must ensure that you understand the meaning of the words you use. There's a world of difference between "invasive" and "evasive" which means that your paragraph makes no sense.
Please correct them..
This time Amy's examiner fails to let them into the classroom, Amy raises the alarm and Professor Lei is found dead on the floor between the desks. With the waiting students all suspects it's time for Tina and her friends to begin another investigation especially when they discover that Chief Enforcer King has vanished.
A good plot but frankly not as enjoyable as the previous books. The whole thing just didn't have the oomph I was expecting. Her cousin is a nervous wreck as her exam is only hours away. However when the rest go out to get some bits to make her room decorated, they get a frantic call from her saying that her professor has been found dead. It looks like natural causes but no-one will know until the Healers do there thing. Plus the head investigator seems to have gone missing. No-one has seen her for a while. When the verdict comes back that the professor had been murdered the girls start to investigate not only the death but the missing investigator. Throw in the supernatural's Vegas, a shady gambling ring and threats for a good read - but not terrific.
When a Jupiter Coven witch is murdered, and Chief Enforcer King is missing, Tina and her friends decide to investigate. Another fun installment in the Western Woods Mystery series. These are fun, magical, cozy mysteries, where the heroines follow the clues to figure everything out. The stories are not fast paced or action packed, but rather more in the Miss Marple style, which makes them extremely suitable for reading when you want to relax. Each story stands alone, although it does build on the background presented in previous stories, so ideally you want to read the series, in order. Recommended for fans of old fashioned detective mysteries, with a magical slant to them.
Very quick, fun, magical cozy mystery. I appreciate how there are less Harry Potter references in this book compared to the previous two books in the series - this world is strong enough to stand on it's own. We got to travel to one of the other paranormal towns in this installment - Desert Plains, which was a Las Vegas-style town, with gambling and magical duels at the forefront of the mystery. Again, Samantha Silver plots the mystery well, and I'm always satisfied with her reveals. I'm also looking forward to what might happen between Tina and Kyran, as they seem to have a possible love connection brewing.
Cute book but in need of editing. Was Professor Lei’s spouse named Anthony or Andrew? He was referred to as both so I don’t know. Words were also missing in a few places. Several editing issues that made the writing and the story line feel rushed. I’d like to see the story and characters developed more. Could really be a great series but for now it’s just decent.
Thanks for making this series so much fun to read. I would like to have friendships with the four girls. They have each other’s backs all the times. I liked learning more about the new paranormal towns and the portals that take you there. Wondering what will happen next.
The characters are really enjoyable each with her own personality. Western Woods sounds like the perfect place to fit in, if you're a supernatural and I have it 5 ✨ because I just love these type of books so much and these are well written.
Fun story, likeable characters, humorous quips. 👍 In all her books: Author needs to proofread spell checking software,- word substitutions... Good bones but needs more oomph. Better than most cozy mysteries, creative ideas. Good ,chill afternoon reading 📚
I love the characters in this series. They are lovable and the author does an outstanding job geiving each of the their own personality. The stories just flow, before you know it you are done. Great Reading Everyone!
Tina, Amy, Ellie and Sara are out to find the person who killed a professor at the academy. The chief enforcer is also missing and the girls think the two are connected.
Another interesting mystery for the Western Woods witches to solve. Tina’s learning more magic every day and her friends are learning to use their own strengths.
