What appealed most about The Letter Club was the anonymity and complete absence of social media BS. Giovanni Di Caro lives with enough scrutiny and family drama, he didn't need anymore, but he wanted someone he could talk to. Sure, his quad-mates in college are great, but there's a part of him he wanted to share without worrying about being judged. What he didn't expect was to fall for a woman whose letters became his anchor. Smart, funny, intuitive and sweet, somehow she understood him better than anyone else in his life. The problem? He doesn't know her name or where she lives. But he will, because over the past few months she had become his girl, and now he's ready to claim what's his.
Elle Wright has been writing stories since she was a child, which led her to a career in journalism. She enjoys reporting life as much as making up a world she can control. She lives on the east coast of the United States where most of her large, noisy family resides. When she isn't in front of her computer, she loves to travel, garden, hang out with her dogs, and take in the brisk sea air that she's told is supposed to help calm her. She's been testing that theory for a while now.
When I saw the blurb I was really intrigued by the plot, since nowadays everything is so focused on social media and we forget more and more that just a couple of years ago we would still write letters and have a more personal connection to each other. I think that the author's approach to tell this story was unique and fresh, since she starts the story by basically showing the reader the letters between these two characters, which I enjoyed reading. But what happened next, and I don't know, if this is this authors debut book, was that the story abruptly changed course. One minute these two characters are writing these letters, having obviously never met in person before and the next they both fell in love with each other. That emotion came, at least to me, completely out of the blue. It went from zero to hundred in a flash. And that's why I think that the author could've spent more time building up the emotions and the story, so that when they did happened they would be believable. The same with the rest of the plot in the sense that the flow of the story could've been more controlled and not cut from one scene to the next. That being said, it's not a bad story and while I did enjoy reading about the characters journey, it's just not that greatly executed. I wished there could've been less day to day showing and more focus on the potential that this story had to show. So all in all, did I love the story? Not really but I would still recommend it to others since they might enjoy it more than me. For me this one was sadly just not my cut of tea.
Blurb and cover were great but I stopped at 60%. I felt it was a little too long, repetitive and a lot of the plot was lost when the two MCs finally meet face to face.
I loved the beginning of the story. Their exchange of letters was cute and funny and I could definitely feel their chemistry in their easy banter and frankness with each other. The whole pen-pals thing was what initially piqued my interest so I’m bummed this plotline was dropped so quickly. The insta-love wasn't too unbelievable but the non-stop sex that happens the minute they see each other just felt out of place and way too early in their thus far, anonymous relationship. A good insta-love story should give the MCs decent page time to re-affirm their emotional connection and Natalia and Gio never had that. I was never able to quiet my own wtf moments whenever Gio or Natalia sprouted their undying love for each other (especially since it was said before, during or right after another marathon on sex).
The hacking skills of the heroine also was just dumped into the story with a very vague background and how she came to those skills wasn't the least be believable.
Overall a good read just not my kind of romance. I think a re-edit would definitely help in the long run. At times it felt like it was a first POV that would suddenly change over to a 2nd or 3rd person which messed with the flow of the story. The idea has merit but the execution wasn't so strong.
Would I recommend? Others may enjoy this one more than me. I lost interest at 60% and just couldn’t finish.

Nothing Else But You by Elle Wright is the story of Gio and Natalia. Gio has friends, but he is a tortured sole that wants to communicate with someone where he doesn't actually have to exchange to much more. Natalia too is a tortured sole who also seeks the to communicate without having the baggage of more. So they both find the Letter Club where they can communicate anonymously. But the more they communicate the more they are both drawn to the other until Gio wants to find and claim her as his. This was a different take on meeting of finding someone that you can be with and love. Although neither went there really for those goals that is what they found. The book did pick up in speed once they meet. Enjoyed their story.
This is a new author for me and once I got into the style this book was written in, I was hooked. I have loved getting to know Gio and Nat through their letters and seeing their connection grow into something cemented in love, respect and certainty. Their chemistry was smoking and was very evident throughout. I loved the characters surrounding them and hope to see more of them in future books.

Interesting concept with plenty of back stories. Gio and Ace fall in love before they meet. And go all in from that moment on. Sweet and lovable characters, steamy sex, no nonsensical emotional roller coaster turns, and a heartwarming ending.
I loved the idea behind this book. Rather than meeting in person or over the internet as so many people seem to do these days, the main characters join an anonymous letter-writing group. They can't give away any information that identifies them, but of course, this gives them more opportunity to be open and honest than they might otherwise be. Through the course of the letters, they fall for one another and pick up enough clues to track one another down. I really liked the way that this story played out. Once they meet, things change and it quickly becomes more like a traditional romance. I would say that it perhaps happened a little too quickly and I think more could have been made of the letter writing, although I understand why it wasn't. Even so, I liked this 'old fashioned' approach to it all and it made the instant love/lust when they finally do meet a little bit more believable than it can be in some romance books. There is a lot more going on in this book, with both of our characters having quite a dramatic back story and life. They work well together and there's certainly plenty of chemistry between them. I'm not sure if this is the start of a series, with more characters meeting this way? Obviously, if that is the case, then it's not likely to be a series in the usual sense as obviously, it's likely to be strangers that meet via letters. Having said that, I did wonder if the single cop that they are friendly with didn't seem quite interested in the idea. I guess that I'll have to wait and see. Overall, this was a good read and I really enjoyed it. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
The blurb from this book really intrigued me so I decided to pick it up. It's my first time reading author Elle Wright so I was eager to get started.
Gio decided to join the Letter Club where he can exchange anonymous letters with fellow members of the club. He wasn't looking for anything in particular but one reply really got to him. Gradually as Gio gets to know her, he realised he was falling for her.
Natalia decided to start writing letters via the Letter Club and when she came across Gio, she thought they really get each other. Even though everything is done anonymously, through hints and clues they were able to work out each other's identities.
When they finally met up in person, their attraction was instant and what they felt for each other was electrifying. Natalia has had some troubles which led her to live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. Gio has the background and power to help Natalia get out of her troubles.
In the end, Natalia's problems were resolved. We got a glimpse into Gio's sisters and I really hope there will be books in the future focusing on one of even both of the sisters.

This new to me author has written something different, two wounded souls meet via communication through The Letter Club. The story is told through these letters and over time they begin to open up more and more, they also begin to develop feelings for each other. It reminded me of life before computers when people used to join pen pal clubs. I think the author did a really good job with the plot and the characters. I enjoyed reading this book.

Nothing Else But You is an interesting debut novel by Elle Wright, which highlights the impact of social media and a budding relationship between two strangers. I liked the characters and the author’s direction for this story, unfortunately I did feel that it jumped dramatically from one aspect to something entirely different a little too quickly. Overall, it was a decent read, if maybe a tad long and repetitive.
Wow! Loved it. I found the letters so great for a written style. The couple finding out about each other and falling in love without ever meeting. Awesome characters with so much emotion. A must read! I received this arc and volunteered to review it.

A wellwritten book with a great storyline and awesome characters. Loved the bond between Gio and Natalia. Would love to read more about Gio and his family.

A good blurb and idea that just didn't pan out in the execution of the book. It's eye-catching but after the initial moment of pen pals what ensues, it's just too overboard. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I thought this book would be a simple boy and girl fall in love through letters, they meet and happiness all around. It was that and then it become more. Once Gio and “Ace” meet everything starts happening and things get a little bit more complicated but it all works out in the end.
I liked Gio & Natalia's story. It was an intriguing book. Good book. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a free copy of the book on booksprout.
