His best friend’s sister is rocking his boat. In the best way possible.
Brody: What’s a bad boy doing hosting a book club on his boat? Excellent question. All I can tell you is, it’s not going well. I forgot the bug wipes, the TP, and the hand sanitizer, we’re out of wine, and… well, I may have made some people angry, if the Yelp reviews are any indication. The only way to dig myself out of this hole is to redeem myself by offering the best girls’ nights out in town.
Enter my best friend’s sister. I’ve gone out of my way to avoid Rachel, since despite her good-girl rep, I can’t seem to get her out of my head. Now she’s in my boat… and if I don’t watch myself, soon she’ll be in my bed. Things are going surprisingly well between us… but I know myself, and I’m not this guy. I’m the guy you want for fantasy fulfillment, not the guy you want for forever.

This series keeps forcing me to make new shelves as not quite “Hallmark Horny’ness” this time because it didn’t have the almost sickly sweet feel that book1 did so this one has spawned the "Smalltown Steamy Vibes" shelf to make its home instead 🤭 Nope – of course I’m not even a little sorry 😎
3.25*
If you’ve read book1, you’ll have already met Brody, the brawling tattoo’d “bad boy” bro and I think we also met Rachel his BFF’s sister at a family shindig, if I am remembering correctly 🤔 but it’s been a hot minute since I read this and anyway point is there was also a sneaky peek intro at the end of book1 which was then the first chapter of this second installment…where it follows the annoying (to me) romcom trope of boy cheats on fMC because wth not - sorry can you tell I am not a fan of this trope as an intro to a story?!🤦 😬
Anyway, Rachel’s mom has an accident so this combined with the happenings of chapter 1 lead to Rachel returning to her hometown from across the continent to help her mam during her convalescence & steps into the breach to host Mama P’s side hustle of Ann Summer type parties 😈 At first I was perhaps a little flippant about this storyline aspect, but honestly the convos these parties facilitated & allowed/encouraged the participants to open up + share were so healthy that it rapidly put me back in my box even if I was legit 😂 at the fact these unwittingly brought the MCs together when Brody offered his boat as a venue for the party - tying into book1s expansion of their wilderness business. Book MVP Mama Perez’s venture was wonderfully set up for awks moments because of course bad boi Brody did not research/read the info he had been sent prior to the event and of course BFF Connor knew nowt neither 🤣
I preferred the storylines in this installment to book1 Rachel rediscovering herself + becoming more confident and Brody we learned in book1 has an adorable toddler which brings its own, I don’t want to say hiccups as it’s not what you might think but I also don’t want to give anything away as I cannot remember what we learned in the first book so 🤐 but suffice to say there are really sweet interactions without drama surrounding this between the MCs – again, healthy 👍
These extra storylines added some of the depth I was missing from the first book which felt kinda surface level. Admittedly sadly this can often happen with the intro book to a series so I probably shouldn’t hold it against it quite so much, but this style of storytelling while fun for a quick steamy read rarely rates as highly for me as others 🤷
That is not to say this was not a fun read, I did enjoy it when I needed a pick me up at a busy work time – deffo ticked the boxes that made me reach for it however it felt formulaic even down to the ending bearing too striking a resemblance to book1 and there might have been some of my least favourite “lack of communication” trope around the inevitable speed bump before the HEA. Plus I was disappointed by Connor’s initial reaction and behaviour, handled a different way that could have been another layer of depth that would have bumped this rating higher for me. I think I read somewhere that he is getting his own book in this series, which lowkey saddens me as in all honesty I would much rather read about Amanda, the Wilder sis + only one married off before the series begins as there are hints she may not be as happy as she once was. She is so supportive of her fam and the newcomers (lady friends) that she absolutely deserves her own story and not to just be a bit part player in her brothers novels! 😖 Especially as Chloe Liese showed us in Ever After Always, reconnecting spouses makes for a fab spin on the second chance romance trope.
🐶 Buck aiming for series MVP with his unusual seal of approval 🙃
I gotta give it to the bonus scene having an adorabubble scavenger hunt 🤩
Ooof soz this "review" has prattled on quite a bit...guess I am rediscovering some of my waffly mojo - soz all, bet you enjoyed the peace & quiet while it lasted 🤗
Read this if you like: Dual POV, small towns, best friend's sister, steamy🔥, quick reads
Brody is a tattooed bad boy that is hosting a book club on his boat. It’s not going well. He forgot the bug wipes, the TP, the hand sanitizer. They are out of wine, and… well, he snapped when the ladies started to gossip about him. His brother, Gabe, is very unhappy with Brody’s behavior because it's a family business. Now he has to offer the best girl's nights out in town.
Rachel comes to town. She's Brody’s best friend’s sister. She's off limits especially because they have both been recently hurt. She's a good girl and he has always tried to stay away from her.
I really loved this book. I enjoyed Brody and Rachel together. I do wish that they had been together a bit more in the book. It wasn't quite as spicy to me as her other books were but still steamy, for sure. This is a very quick read. I love the characters. This is such a great family. The end made me cry. So sweet. 😭 I am excited to read the fourth (read the third first). Highly recommend this book!
Wilder Adventures series Make Me Wilder - 4-4.25 stars >> Walk On The Wilder Side - 3.5 stars Wilder With Me - tbr A Little Wilder - tbr Wilder At Last - tbr/June 2023
Four Stars and a half ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭒ Walk on the Wilder Side by Serena Bell is the second book in Serena Bell’s popular Wilder Adventures series. This book can be read as a stand-alone book too. I enjoyed this steamy, funny, and heartwarming story about a bad boy and a good-girl librarian.
Rachel Perez has a plan for her life, and she’s almost checked off every step in her plan. All she needs now is her boyfriend to propose, and then they can have 2.5 children (she can’t decide between 2 or 3 children) and live happily ever after in the suburbs. When she arrives at her job as a librarian in Boston, she is told that her job has been downsized and she is no longer needed. When she arrives home after this devastating news, she finds her boyfriend, in bed with another woman. Devastated, she decides to return to her hometown of Rush Creek and help her mother who has recently injured her ankle.
Brody Wilder is the screw-up of his family, and he’s working to remedy that by working hard in his family’s outdoor adventure firm. But, when he hosts a book club on the family boat, everything goes wrong. The poor reviews for the book boat tour anger his family and making Brody feel like the family screw-up again.
Rachel helps her mother with her business of hosting hostess parties, selling self-enhancement products, and decides to host a party on Brody’s boat. Rachel has had a crush on Brody since they were kids. Brody was her brother’s best friend, and she knew he would never want to date a quiet good girl like her.
This sexy, steam romance is also heartwarming and fun. The family dynamics of both Rachel’s family and Brodie’s family are so much fun. Both Brody and Rachel are wary of relationships due to their past relationships failing so miserably. Brody doesn’t feel like he’s good enough for the good girl, and Rachel doesn’t think she’s bad enough to catch Brodie’s eye.
This book is fast-paced and well-written. The story grabbed me instantly and I enjoyed the journey as these two broken young people found their way to each other. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This was book 2 in the "Wilder Adventures"series. Brody Wilder is the bad boy and he's getting tired of it. Enter Rachel Perez is best friends sister. Rachel is going through a lot of change in her perfectly planned life she plans out everything she decides to take a ride on the wild side. After losing her library job, Rachel returns home to find her boyfriend cheating on her. Rachel leaves Boston to return to the west coast and her family home. This was a pretty good read I love all the secondary characters in this series. I love Ms. Bell's writing this book and series has some funny and heartwarming scenes in it. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Ok, so I went into this not realizing that this was book two in the series. Turns out, it was quite alright. We follow Brody and Rachel in this story and man was it hot and steamy! Woo.... spicy scenes... yes please. Forbidden romance... yup all here for it! Sound like your type of book... pick it up! Trust me! Now I need to read the first book while I wait for the next one in the series to come out!
What an absolute joy of a read! I adored the first book in this series and Walk on the Wilder side was just as good! I have also read Serena Bell's Tierney Bay series and all of her books that I have read have been excellent. If there was one romance author that deserves more recognition and hype, it is definitely Serena Bell.
This series surrounds the Wilder family, whose siblings comprise of 5 very different and yet all gorgeous guy and their sister. The first book focused on the eldest brother Gabe and this book was on the "bad boy" of the family, Brody. Brody is such a wonderful character to get to know. He is definitely more than meets the eye and beneath all his leather, tattoos and muscles is the kindest heart and the want to be involved and loved. Brody's love interest is his best friend's sister called Rachel. I loved Rachel! At the start she finds herself in the day from hell when she gets let go from her librarian job and then finds her boyfriend cheating on her at home. I definitely connected with Rachel who, like me, is a planner and finds it hard to lose so much of her life plan in one day. Seeing Rachel open up and have more fun was great to see. The side characters of the rest of the Wilders were great and I am excited to get to know each of them even more in the future books!
The romance was so well done and at rhe right pace. There is obvious chemistry between Brody and Rachel and they seemed so comfortable with each other. The smut is great, the perfect amount and well written. There are many sexy scenes!
The writing was brilliant, easy to read and really engaging. I loved the humour mixed with a few more serious themes and the story had the perfect level of depth and fun.
I loved this book and desperately want the next one already! I could not recommend this series more and romance lovers should definitely pick it up and Serena Bell's other series "Tierney Bay'.
Please note that I was gifted this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Walk on the Wilder Side is the second in the Wilder Adventures by Serena Bell. Although it can be read as a standalone to get the full enjoyment of these Wilder men you’ll want to read in order as there is an over arching plot.
Brody is touted as a bad boy of the Wilder men. He keeps his emotions guarded and a bit wary. He doesn’t like the changes in the business but is willing to change doe the greater good. The more you read the more you’ll find him to be a real sweetheart. He’s caring, generous and thoughtful despite what has been tossed at him the past year.
In walks Rachel. They have both had a thing for the other and when she steps in to help her mom with her business the sparks fly. I loved the connection between this couple. The pair worked so well together. Parts of the story line were predictable but others especially, the relationship with Brody and Justin were smartly written and refreshing to read how caring adults would handle this situation.
Looking forward to reading more about the Wider Men !
Rachel was recently let go from her job and then caught her boyfriend cheating on her so moved back to her small town home.
She reunites with Brody, her brothers best friend, and they become instantly attracted to each other. Brody is a big tattooed biker dude and has such a grumpy exterior but he is actually the sweetest guy ever. I don’t want to spoil anything but his relationship with Justin just melts my heart and I love him even more for it.
This felt very insta-love which is not my favourite trope. We are told that both characters had a crush on each other when they were younger but as adults there wasn’t much build up or tension, it all just happened very quick.
Overall I thought this was an excellent read, especially for new readers and fans of a small town romance.
Thank you NetGalley for providing the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed this second story in the Wilder Adventures series, about a family of outdoor adventure enthusiasts who've made a living with wilderness tours, only to have their lives turned upside down by their town becoming a wedding destination. This has resulted in them having to modify their activities for a new kind of tourist. For Brody Wilder, his fishing and boat tours need to be spruced up for a new audience and after his first outing, a female book club, was something of a disaster, he's determined to make the next one better. Enter Rachel, his best friend Connor's younger sister who has returned home to regroup after a bunch of disappointments in New York City. She needs a venue to host her mom's romance home parties after her mom is injured, and using Brody's boat is the perfect spot. To her surprise (and Brody's!) her mom has been selling sex toys (ha!) and while they both get through the event unscathed, it also sparks their attraction to each other (which to be honest has been simmering for a while).
Author Serena Bell's skills lie in creating likable characters (friend groups and family both), sexual tension that leads to steamy love scenes, funny and/or poignant scenes (often both) and a romance with a sweet and well earned happy ever after. Here we get all of the above plus the knowledge that there will be more to come with the rest of the Wilder family. I enjoyed seeing Brody's character evolve as he owns up to the mistakes he made in the past (that have given him a reputation for being not so trustworthy) and strives to show his family that he wants to be a full fledged participating member in their new ventures. While the best friend's sibling trope is a tried and true one, and we get the requisite 'older brother gets annoyed at friend dating sister' scene, in this case Connor truly does have the best of intentions for Rachel and Brody. And they are able to figure out the truth about their feelings for each other before it's too late to repair any damage. I love the concept of this series and how each member of the family has to make their own adjustments to make the family business profitable. Looking forward to what comes next!
Rachel Perez has her entire life planned out and is nearing completion with a proposal on the horizon. Unfortunately, she gets laid off and then after arriving home early, discovers her boyfriend in bed with another woman. Rachel takes off to her hometown for an escape to assist her recently injured mother.
The Wilder family runs an outdoor adventure company in her hometown and bad boy Brody Wilder has always been on Rachel’s mind. Little does she know that Brody has harboured a crush on her for years as well, though she is off-limits due to being his best friend’s little sister. Rachel is unaware that by agreeing to help her mother’s business, she is actually signing on to sell “self-enhancement tools” on Brody’s boat.
Walk on the Wilder Side is the second book in the Wilder Adventures series and I now need to read book one! This is fun, sexy, and heartwarming with good pacing. I was cackling when each character had their realizations about the sex toy selling. Brody watching his childhood crush talk to a bunch of women about self-pleasure while holding onto a toy killed me. Oooof the tension is perfection and be prepared for open door spice!
I connected well with Rachel’s life planner ways and love to see a woman who takes charge of her needs in the bedroom. Brody’s bad boy nature has created this illusion of himself that he isn’t good enough for his family or for Rachel which is just heartbreaking. The Perez and Wilder families added in great dynamics that felt authentic and added to the story. I look forward to reading more from Serena Bell!
Wow! This is definitely something that I haven’t expected. Mid you look up at the cover, you’ll think “hmm nice sweet romance story “. But it’s much more than that! A whole bunch more than that. Which I loved. The dialogue was on spotty the chemistry over the charts and the overall story very good.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Brody is the bad boy of the Wilder brothers and his reputation is well earned. Rachel on the other hand is the good girl, she plans everything in her life and does the right thing and all it got her was a cheating boyfriend, let go from her job and back living with her parents in her hometown. On the surface you wouldn’t think that Brody and Rachel would go so well together but they balance each other out well and they really understood each other which I loved.
This is a fun romantic read. Brody’s reaction the first time Rachel hosted a party on his boat selling products for women was brilliant and really set the tone for the chemistry between the couple. I liked that Rachel went for what she wanted even though it was not what others would have expected from her.
I was surprised how many times tears came to my eyes while reading given this is a rom-com but Brody made my heart ache quite a few times. Issues with his reputation and the way people see Brody and how he sees himself had me tearing up repeatedly. Tears aside, there are lots of sweet and fun times in this romance. I found Walk on the Wilder side to be an easy to read romance and it left me feeling good.
But I can't stand the fact that a certain someone got zero consequences for her deception. Like this woman literally baby trapped our ML and yet no one ever calls her out on her bullshit. In fact, she reaps all the benefits. I suppose Brody and Rachel are better/kinder people than me because I would never invite that liar to hang around. Heck I’d air her dirty laundry to the world.
Walk On The Wilder Side is a fantastic fun and steamy addition to this sibling series that kept me turning the pages long into the night!
Brody is known as the ‘bad boy’ Wilder. And he does well to keep up the image. Now he needs to step things up to help Wilder Adventures, the family business. And that includes adding girls nights out excursions on his boat. Enter Rachel, his best friends librarian ‘good girl’ sister, who certainly rocks his boat with her parties. And when feelings come to light, they don’t waste time. But Brody’s not known to be the forever type. And Rachel’s not in town to stay.
I dived right into the one after reading Walk on Wilder Side and was not disappointed. I hate to compare books but while this one had some similar themes, it also had a little more of what I was looking for in that first book... more of an emotional connection.
These two had chemistry for days and it had the same similar signature heat. But I liked how they were straightforward in what they felt early on. I’ve seen this type of storyline dragged on in books and it was so refreshing that it wasn’t in this case. Though they were pretty full steam ahead, with their history it worked for me.
Overall a fun, light angst, sexy and heartwarming story that I really enjoyed. The emphasis on speaking up and the power of apology and forgiveness was a great touch. I am really loving this family and can’t wait for more! The sneak peek of Clark’s story sounds exactly like my cup of tea! Oh, and be sure to download the bonus epilogue! Who knew Brody could be so darn romantic? Swoon.
*I received an ARC from Author Collective 20, Jelsba Media Group via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own and given freely.
Rachel has had a plan all her life that consists of getting a boyfriend, moving into an apartment, getting married, and having 2.5 kids. Everything changes when she loses her job and comes home to her boyfriend sleeping with another woman. After going back home to reevaluate what she wants, Rachel runs into Brody, her secret crush and brother’s best friend. Brody has struggled with trying to get away from his “bad boy” reputation and wants to be taken more seriously when it comes to running his part in the Wilder family business. After a book club on the Wilder’s boat turns into a disaster consisting of clogged toilets and puppies thrown overboard, Brody is determined to enlist some help, even if it involves Rachel, his secret crush and someone he vowed to never touch. That becomes more difficult than he thought when the events that Rachel helps with involve selling sex toys and demonstrating them.
Walk on the Wilder Side was such a positive, refreshing story of two characters bonding as they try to find themselves after life events turn them upside down. I love the brother’s best friend trope and this was so well done. The story and characters feel so real and their thoughts and choices feel so realistic to the situations that are thrown at them. Walk on the Wilder Side feels mature where there is no pettiness or misunderstandings that don’t make sense and I loved that!
All the scenes that talk so openly about sex in regards to an individual or a relationship was incredibly refreshing and eye-opening. The ways that these women discuss situations that can seriously affect their sex life was so great and I loved reading those scenes. There were so many laugh out loud and “aha” moments that I will always remember.
The relationship between Rachel and Brody was so freaking cute. There was lots of tension in the beginning and the book definitely gave the spice! I am a sucker for books with discreet covers and spicy content. All of the side characters were so good where it makes me want to check out the first book and other books that will continue in the series!
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. A Walk on the Wilder Side by Serena Bell releases 09/23!
Rachel's entire world has just imploded - she loses her job, her fiance, and her apartment all in one day - so she heads back to her hometown for a while to help out her mom with her consulting business. Her smalltown where her very hot, bad boy childhood crush - who happens to be her big brother's best friend - lives. Cue ALL THE CHEMISTRY.
This is a deliciously steamy best friend's sibling/sibling's best friend slow burn. The chemistry between Rachel and Brody is already off the charts, then throw in a little forced proximity and some sex toys and - whew! Yes please! I love when a romance is between two people who fit together like puzzle pieces, filling in each others' gaps and helping pull them into better, more well-rounded people. Rachel is a super-planner "perfect girl," and Brody is a bad boy without a plan, and they both challenge each other to stretch themselves to some uncomfortable places and live outside their boxes.
I love this wonderful cast of characters. There are a lot of folks to keep track of, and a few times I felt a bit lost. Perhaps if I'd read the first book in the series I'd have a better handle on who each of the Wilder siblings is, but there's enough info given in this book to really get a full understanding of Brody, who is the brother this book focuses on. And they're all so fun! I'd love to go to a book club on Brody's boat, or grab drinks with the fam.
This is the second book in the Wilder Adventures series and can be read as a stand alone. There are some spoilers for the first book in the series, Make Me Wilder, and the couple from that bok are side characters in this one (which makes sense, since the series is about the five Wilder brothers who run a company together!) Still, this second book can be read without having read the previous book. In this story the seeds for book three, Wilder With You, are planted and I cannot wait for!
A digital ARC of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for review. All opinions are unbiased and my own.
That cover is deceptively cute - this book is a quick and steamy treat that features a decidedly NSFW storyline involving *ahem* toy parties. The blurb implies that this is a light and sexy best friend's little sister romance (it is), but it forgets to mention the dirty stuff, lol. I had Siri reading this aloud to me while I was working, and let's just say that things got inappropriate for the workplace pretty quickly. That being said, the story is a low angst, fun read with a classic bad boy/good girl pairing and a shared history that makes this quick read a little bit richer. I didn't LOVE it, but it made for a nice, easy read with both heat and heart.
The story follows Brody, the quintessential bad boy who is tired of being used and discarded. While Brody was all too happy to fulfill women's bad boy fantasies in the past, he's older now - and ready for more. But no one plans a future with the good time guy, and that's made Brody question his self-worth. So when his best friend's little sister, Rachel, returns home temporarily, Brody knows better than to cross any lines. Rachel has always had her life all mapped out, and that surely doesn't involve a guy like Brody. As the two reconnect and get to know each other as adults, they discover that the line between bad and good might be a little grayer than expected.
This was a short and sexy read with plenty of humor and lighthearted moments. I wasn't anticipating the toy party storyline, but it certainly livened things up and made these two look at each other in a whole new light. The best part of the book, for me, was Brody. I love a bad boy redeemed, and he is a big softie. This playboy is broken-hearted and looking for love, and he was such a good guy throughout. I haven't read the first book in the series yet, but that was not an issue - there were a few references to the first couple and events that took place previously, but nothing that interfered with my enjoyment. This was a low angst, high sexiness read that was solid throughout. It was a little too surface level to really grip me, but I don't have any major complaints - I'd definitely consider checking out another book in the series. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this light and easy romance.
Brody Wilder is not the kind of guy that girls should waste thoughts of forever on, he's more of the kind of guy that will make your dirtiest fantasies come true and then be gone by morning's first light. He is a bad boy through and through, and totally lives up to his reputation, but sometimes feels like it's getting a little old. But changing his ways just isn't possible, he can't do commitment or be tied to one woman... or can he?
Maybe he just needed the right woman to come along! But his "right kind of woman" comes with a whole host of complications and a forbidden tag attached... but being good has never really been in his nature!
Walk on the Wilder Side brings us into the lives of two lovelorn folks who have carried torches for one another for a really long time, but have always been too scared to go after what they want. Brody has had a thing for his best friends little sister for some time now, but he also knows that he isn't the guy she needs in her life. He can't give her the forever she deserves. While the sight of Brody might send her heart a flutter, Rachel gets the feeling that she isn't Brody's cup of tea. Every time they are near one another he gives her the cold shoulder, and makes it pretty obvious he is not interested. So she has pretty much given up on him becoming the forever kind of guy she has been hoping for. But then one little encounter on Brody's boat changes everything...
Between the pages of Walk on the Wilder Side readers will meet a pairing that will have them smiling, laughing, and swooning throughout! These two may think love isn't in the cards for them, but as we soon learn love has other plans for them... the forever kind! One little encounter changes everything and sets them on a course that comes with many ups and downs, but ends with all kinds of happy! I loved this newest offering in the Wilder Adventure's series, it had my heart skipping a beat throughout! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Sparks fly, intimacy ensues, and so does the real world….. Brody’s ‘son’, Justin as well as a job offer back in Boston for Rachel.
In the end, both Brody and Rachel find the right balance for their relationship.
Be sure to download the extra, bonus epilogue- it’s so good.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the second book in the series - each will concentrate on a member of the Wilder family. I would suggest that you read them in order, as the underlying family and business dynamics are core to behaviours which play out in this books. The first book pertained to eldest brother, Gabe - the one that at 15 took on the mantle of head of the family. Next we see Brody, only a year younger, but not given the responsibility at 14, he chose to act out, and develop the bad boy persona that now dogs him.
Frustrated that he is not contributing enough to the rebuilding of the family business, Brody is somewhat clutching at straws when he agrees to host book clubs on his boat. The first one does not go well, and once again he faces the disappointment of his older brother. Then a twist of fate brings his best friend's sister to his boat ... and the party is definitely not what he expected Rachel to be running. You will certainly laugh through quite a lot of this book!
Rachel did not have the recent events in her life written in her master plan - but she is back home helping her mother whilst she recovers from a broken leg. This puts her right on Brody's boat running a party. She has had a crush on him for years, but unknown to he, her brother, Connor, has been running interference for many years - and isn't planning on stopping now either. But actually they are both adults now, and whilst she has no intention of staying in their little town, she is keen to experience just what she has been missing.
As they get close, and together face some of the issues that have bothered them for years, they find freedom in each other. Brody gets to live his best life, and Rachel is starting to reconsider whether she could actually change that plan of hers!
A lovely, funny, sexy romance - I am looking forward to the next installment already.
I'm in love with this series. First of all we've got a lot of hot brothers. Then it plays in a Small Town. And last but not least: Adorable heroines!
It feels like I sound like a broken record, because there's two things to say here, and it seems I constantly say them: 1. Rachel = spirit animal girl (we would be fast friends, totally) 2. Brody = book boyfriend (love me the misunderstood, broody, bad boy)
It had everything a good romance needs - even the grand gesture in the end. And - OH! - this bonus epilogue! Love, love, love, love.
Both thumbs up. If you haven't started the Wilder Adventures series, go and start right now. Read it in order, it's just that more fun. :D
Brody and his almost mysterious aura in book one, Make Me Wilder, had me completely intrigued and eager to read his story. I absolutely adored him, huge heart eyes and all!
Rachel is adorable and funny and I found her personality and demeanor was the most I’ve probably ever related to a character in a book. I just loved everything about her and the way Brody is with her just melted me every time!
A wonderfully written book that once I started I didn’t stop until I finished it. The flow and pace of the whole story was so well done, I truly don’t think I could love this book anymore. I am beyond excited for the next book.
Rachael heads home to recoup after the worst day of her life. Her life plan that was going perfectly until that fateful day. Once in Rush Creek she ends up working with bad boy, Brody Wilder , who she has had an all-consuming, brainmelting crush on ever since she can remember. He has always ignored her and Rachael is not sure if he hates her or just finds her so boring as to not be worth his time. The truth is Brody has always been attracted to Rachael, but she is his best friend’s little sister. Now she may be on the rebound. Rebounds make you reckless and do things out of character. Brody does not want to blow up his friendship with Connor and risk hurting Rachel. However, Rachael decides it’s time to walk on the Wilder side. This steamy romance that has a perfect balance of steam, depth and humor that will captivate you from the first page till the last. Great characters. Great storyline. Cannot wait to read about the next Wilder Brother. I received an ARC of this book from the author in return for voluntarily writing an honest review.
I’m really enjoying this series. Love the family of brothers. Love how the women get woven in. And agin, sexy, sweet, funny, good dialogue and funny settings. Still going on with the series.
I really enjoyed Brody and Rachel's story. The cover looks like you are getting this sweet little story which it was and so much more. I loved that both had crushes on each other from a very young age but neither acted on it. The Bad boy and good girl chemistry was awesome, I loved how Rachel started coming out of her shell so she could pursue her bad boy. I enjoyed the family dynamics. I love a little drama with my story so this delivered a little a bit of that too. The book is part of series but can be read as a standalone. I received this book to read for my honest opinion.
