When Alice tells us about her family spending Christmases with Harvey and his mom, she says "Natalie and Harvey would come over and we'd have a big dinner and take family pictures, blending the six of us together for various combinations." Alice's family consists of three people and Harvey's consists of two, so that's five. Did I miss something/someone?

I am a junior high school school librarian (7th-8th). This book has been recommended for 7th-12th graders in one review and 9-12 in another. Is there any sexual content that I need to be aware of? If so, do you think it is appropriate for 7th-8th?If it was just up to me, I would buy it, based on the reviews, but there's a line that I try not to cross, as I've had trouble with a couple of parents throughout the years!

Emma Reads I was reading much worse than this book by the time I was in Junior High. I think that this would be a great addition to your library.

I noticed that when Alice first went back to school she mentioned that she wasn't in class with Harvey until 3rd period. When he talked about that same day, he said the first class he had with her was 2nd period. Error?
