I'd say it's on par with Pretty Little Liars in regards to rating (though considerably less horror-focused) and much much less violent than Vampire Diaries (though closer to it in regards to sexual content). I would let my 14 year old daughter read this. (less)

Does the romance go into detail? or is it hand holding, kissing, "he led me to the room" and then it's the next morning type stuff. I'm no voyeur and I don't care to read specifics on how people "get it on".
