Whomever is saying this is a book for kids you obviously have never read this book. It represents communism and how ridding yourself of one evil means another can stand in that place. Not for kids. (Putting this here to allow me to post it. ?)

The Pigs are the communists and socialists (Trotsky, Lenin, Stalin) who overthrow Mr Jones

Mr Jones is Tsar Nicholas II. He doesnt look after his people (animals) but looks after himself

Old Major is Karl Marx (need I explain who he is!)

One farmer is USA. He has the wealth and the farm looks good

Another farmer is Hitler. His farm is like the USA

Boxer is a member of the working class who supports the communist party

Mollie is the people who hated the communists and wanted to flee the farm. She could also represent people who were higher class and liked the Tsar

The raven is a really good character. You can see the change that the pigs make through this crow who acts as a narrator

The sheep blindly follow the orders from people as they do not understand what is really happening

The puppies are Napoleons (Stalins) attack guard. They kill for and protect him
