I have researched Marina Keegan a bit, since "The Opposite of Loneliness" seems to have received many mixed reviews, and I found out she was supposed to take a job at the New Yorker. My question is, if her writing, as so many seem to claim, resembles the work of the best writer in an undergraduate class, how did she get a job with the New Yorker?
